Well, it just seems that it sounds so strange to me that other orbiting plants around stars are affected by its orbiting giants, we have some as well, why wouldn't we think that our sun wobbles as well and don't think that is why our planet has a horse shoe orbit. The moon keeps us balanced to the suns forces as it gets knocked around. Like I say, just brain storming ideas that almost could be.
@goatcheese1984 Uhhh... then it would be the 14th century and you would be an idiot.
During the formation of our planet, planetesimals (smaller planets, asteroids, comets) that would eventually crash into one another with apocalyptic consequences. The last suspected collision was with a Mars sized planet some 4.5-4 billion years ago. The object hit at such a precise angle that the ensuing ejection of earth material blasted off and later coalesced into the Moon we walked on in 69.
@goatcheese1984 I understand but I wanted to provide the cosmological understanding that could quell any retorts. I could see a solar plane argument as well but I went with the Moon.
Thank you for your concerns. I would like to clarify that the sun is stationary using the earth as a point of reference. Also, I caught myself after I turned this project in and was counted off for it, but you are correct, the earth does rotate from west to east and I fixed the problem as much as i was able using an annotation.
Correction: Good video but the sun is NOT stationary it is moving through our galaxy. If your point is that it is moving but not rotating look into it. Thanks for accepting my feedback.
Good attempt at passing on to kids what is a difficult concept at first. However there is an error in it that should be corrected. The Earth rotates from West to East (not as per the script of the movie which says east to west), which is why we see the Sun appear over the horizon as we move eastwards. The rotation of theEarth as shown in the movie is correct, but the script is not.
We whatched this at school and my teacher Mr.B was dancing to the song lol

But didnt we find planets around other stars by the wabble of the star being caused by the planets gravity?
goatcheese1984 1 month ago
@goatcheese1984 Yes, and the sun wobbles a little because of Jupiter, and even less because of Saturn and the other big planets.

What if the earth isnt of tilt, what if it stayed at one location and the sun was the object that that was off coarse?
