The reason why he is so popular is beacuse again he is an Earnhardt. Nascar favours him, just look at the coca cola 600 finish of this year, the officials let hm have it and he ran out of fuel, proof that karma works :P. No. You're MUCH more likely to blow a tire out running in the debris up at the wall than running the low line. Junior takes people out ALL the time and when he does, it's NEVER his fault (or so you dumbasses think). Two right off the top of my head I can think of are the 2007 (?) Bud Shootout where he took the 19 out and everyone else coming to the checkers and of course this year's Daytona 500... Other than those, he's sent MANY cars spinning due to stupidass driving. More than most.

Junior very easily could have backed off the throttle to 90% and merged back behind Vickers to try again in a bit. You can technically go below the line - you just can't advance your position. My two favorites are Jeff Gordon and Regan Smith (so trust me, I'm familiar with the whole yellow-line deal =[ ). Junior in recent years has been BETTER about owning up to things because his ego is deflating - but he used to be a straight up punk.
