@gfhnk it depends on the ohm load you want, you need to wire groups in series then those groups in parallel or vice versa depending on what you want your ending impedance to be, it can get very confusing but there are ohm calculators out there that you can use. I dont know if you are a member of a car audio forum but there are lots out there, such as SMD's forum, that can help you answer your questions with a lot more info than i can.
@blkout15 It's probably doing the same thing LCD's do when you push on them... I remember a long time ago when I had a nice system in my house, if I played the right note it would literally make the screen change colors/distort as if I was pushing on it.
