I still have my fat psp... Last time I use it was 6 years ago.. I have to say that it was the best hand held device I ever owned, but because something happened to it; I no longer use it anymore. I don't know what things people hack on the psp nowadays, but I remember I did alot of stuff to it.. Control my remote control car, control the tv, control house lights, play playstation 1, 2, snes, dsi basically any games, and the movie quality is excellent. Battery life do suck.

The PSP was meant for the tech savy people while the DS focused towards kids with Zelda,Pokemon,Mario,Professor Layton,tons of movie licensed games (more than the PSP got).

If you were to own let's say a Playstation and a Playstation 2. Since the Ps2 is backwards compatible you could leave more space around your house for more game systems. Just like the Wii can play GC games and newer versions of Windows can run games for older version like 95 and DOs. But it's still fuckin fine if you like inconvenience.

The DSi: Awesome games, decent features.

The PSP: Incredible and epic features, kinda like a Sony version of iPod, can use hacked emulators to play SNES, PS1, N64, etc... but the actual games for the PSP pretty much suck.

The camera's on the DSi are better then most cellphone camera's, and are pretty good by today's standards, plus the photo editor is spot on.

AND he didn't mention you CAN play music AND videos on the DSi.

The PSP is somewhat better, due to better gameplay, graphics, and controls. It also has more mature titles such as Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories, and God Of War Ghost Of Sparta.

The DS, on the other hand, is quite fun, due to prolonged entertainment, and long battery life. Although, the DS has titles that are intended for younger audiences, such as Super Mario Brothers, and Zelda.

Conclusion: PSP for more hardcore games, DS for fun games that bring out your inner child.
