@Mr Gilman: It's good that you posted this video here, but just forget about the Chi or something like that. Taichi ist all about loosing yourself. Then you will understand what is Chi...
At 5:36 it seems we are at the beginning of single whip. Is this incorrect? The way I am being taught this is flowing out of the beginning of single whip, i.e. where the body completes the turn and is ready to gather the hook and the cocked forward hand.
@lebarosky I am not sure what the question is. The movement I am working with at this point in the video is Fist Under Elbow. The beginning of both of these movements is similar.
Michael, This is great and a the reason that I am reverting to the shorter 36 movement form! but to be honest, I just gotta drag myself up to PT and work with some of your energy related seminars. My work unfortunately is not getting me up your way as much as I thought it would. Anyway, I will continue to absorb what I can by myself. I will watch your site for related seminars for Sat Afternoon. My Gig Harbor Arnis class I teach ends at 10 am. See you soon.
Mr. Gilman you are the bomb. I have been wondering what martial art to study. Your videos have certainly made Tai Chi my pick. Your delivery and care have inspired me.
