u r fucking retarded thats how ur suppose to load a boat u fuckin idiot. we have loaded our boat like every time and nothing happens. its actually what a expierienced person does, not some panzy bitch who has to guide the shit on with a rope like the fuckin polish people.
@RoadCaptainEntertain you drive your boat on. fags like you take up dock space. i drop my passenger off. idle away from the dock. they back in. i drive on and away we go. nothing more irritating than trying to load but some dipshit is standing on the dock holding his boat, HOGGING it, and waiting for a truck. that shit is amateur and extremely frowned upon around my part of the woods.the types that cant drive a boat on the trailer, usually cant even back their trailers in.
@idahochas WTF makes you think I need a rope and wader u fucking beatoff? I been loading boats for over 40 years. I am a Profession Guide who does it for a living unlike you beer swilling jerkoffs who spend more on their boats than their haul truck.
Buy a good 4WD and you won't hog the ramp "Power Loading" like this dick in this vid.
@RoadCaptainEntertain we run jet boats in these parts. they tend to cost a bit more than your lame ass fiberglass boards. i'd like to see you load a jet boat in a river with a swift ass partial cross current. once you can consistently do this, you can respond. until then, stick to your prop boat loading in calm ass lakes/reservoirs. like i said before, i remember my first beer.
after you get tired of tearing up the hull and the pads you will realize if your driver puts the trailer in the water at the right depth, you don't need to winch or throttle your way up the trailer at all...........you just float on, nice and slow. like the pro's do it. like the IHBA & NJBA made you do it when we raced, No Power allowed. tell your driver not to be so chicken about getting the rear tires wet ! joker is parked 6 ft from the water, Rookie's.
this is a stupid video. Everybody including myself do this every day. Powerloading a boat on the trailer beats the hell out of cranking on the winch for an hour to get your boat on the trailer.
@shawnsanc01 then you really aren't aware of how dangerous this is. IHBA & NJBA do not allow any power, engine off ! you must have 2 warm bodies at the trailer to guide your boat on and it must be done by hand, you gotta have a driver who knows how deep to put the trailer in, then you can float it right on nice and easy every time, no winching needed. experienced drivers don't leave the trailer so shallow that you HAVE to winch.
This is what you're supposed to do. If you un-wind the winch and walk out into the water to manually crank the boat on to the "drive on trailer" you are an idiot.
Dumbazz needs to drop his wheels one time!!! If I ever see him on the water I'm going to throw some dock lines in his path as I pass him. Enjoy getting fouled sport!!!
2 People loading, should be REAL easy. Back the trailer in to where the water is just even with the top of the trailer fender wells. In this case, maybe 1/2 to 1' and it makes all the difference in the world. Less wear an tear on the motor.
It's got nothing to do with damaging the boat or the trailer. If the ramp is short that guy just dug a big hole off the end of it for a bigger boat trailer's wheels to fall into. Anyone who NEEDS to power load small boats like that is the real asshole. Why is he parked ten feet from the water?
yeah pretty common stuff. I see it all the time.. drop trailer in.. drive boat up, whats the issue, hell they sell auto winches for this specific type of loading. drive boat up, it catches and pulls you the last bit.. those on here claiming its wrong really dont know. go ahead and google for this product.. watch videa and learn
if you balance power loading and conventional loading you can do it safely and quickly. just get the trailer in the water far enough, come in with a nice straight drift and give it the beans right when you hit the skids and you're done. whatever's left over just winch it in. why is this an issue anyway? it's his boat.
i love how everybody thinks power loading your boat will ruin your trailer thats a fukn lie cuz my whole life of owning/operating boats i've always power loaded...all different types of trailers not a thing wrong with it,i've powerloaded in front of the police, coastguard he told me yea its illegal but i do it with all my boats to,told me to have a nice day and that he loved my wareagle!
25 years of boating experience here. Power loading is the way to go, when you can. Quick clean and easy. you just have to know what you're doing, and the proper type trailer makes a big difference. But if you want to do it your way, that's fine. Just don't take all stinkin day.
Why is it that people powerload there boats? I mean I'm 18, and have only been boating for 5 years. Yet I have a 25 footer, and pull it up with the wench, and respect the rules of the boat ramps. This is why cars and trailers go down boat ramps. Respect others and PLEASE don't powerload your boat!!!
Power loading is for people too lazy to do it right. I hope everyone that posted that it's OK has their trailer fall off the end of a ramp washed out from power loading.
Power loading? Ruining boat trailers? Its obvious you keyboard warriors watch youtube videos of boating and never actually go out on the water. This is how experienced boaters load their boats, myself included. I suggest you guys go to a bass fishing tournament and watch those professional bass anglers load their boats, if you think this is "power loading" you got another thing coming when you see 20 boats at a time loading at full throttle.
@w3bbgh0st Then I see warriors like you flipped over in the waterways and then i have to drag your corpse out...... This action does ruin trailer bunks/wheels adds heavy amount of stress to joints and is a huge strain on the engine mechanics..... This is not a safe or correct way to load a trailer.
@NutStretcher Nope sorry Skeeters dont flip over. Plus I wear a life vest. So no corpse here. Thanks. Has not ruined a trailer of mine in 20 + years either. Maybe you need some boating experience, not youtube video experience. Ive loaded every boat from pontoons to trackers like this.
@w3bbgh0st Thats because you are a amature.... And I have many years experience myself, I was just trying to share my knowledge. If you want to ruin your boat/trailer that is your business. I will be here laughing at how much of an idiot you are.
ok hes power loading but not in the right way he is not putting the trim up so the motor wont hit the bottom he is probably hitting bottom also my dad has a 24 footcenter console boat he gets out puts the trailer in the water and tells me to put it on what ur suposed to do is idle until u get the boat as far up like that and then u raise the jack plate if u have one and also the trim if u have an out board motor and give it some gas evrybody does that in galveston texas o and bye the way im 11
@SeaSickDrop if the ramp is not paved way back you blow all the soil away from the bottom of the ramp causing a drop off were if you have a bigger boat and need to put it in deeper to get it off the trailer the trailer tires fall off the end of the ramp and if you have a slippery ramp or just 2 wheel drive you may be stuck there because your trailer tires are hanging in the hole made by powering your boat on the trailer.
@O7ROADKING ok ill give you that but the thing is i most boat ramps are not that short... their might be sant built up over time on top of the concrete but they specialy build ramps for thats purpose
@carrysmith2008 so said it is fast then why so long i have had friends load on cars and bed of tr ucks faster, and i sure there is more danger then you think posibly
you mean there's another way to put the boat on the trailer!? wha!!? ahh whatever good job bro .. oh yeah where im from sometimes we don't use the trailer!
Powerloading a boat isnt that bad depending upon the type of ramp i powerload my boat all the time let people do what they want and if you dont like it well its a part of boating.
Just because you power-load your boat you think it HAS to be the right thing to do. YES, it DOES affect others. if you're on a long concrete ramp, I'm so fricken happy you. If your not, you're creating a drop-off at the base or end of the ramp! Why do you think it's against the rules and illegal on many ramps? Personally, I think you're the one BITCHING to try to justify power-loading. But then people like you are always gonna do what ever the hell they want.
You're kidding - right? You mean to tell me that you've never seen the DNR signs posted at public boat ramps that say "NO POWERLOADING"? Think about it. If you have to powerload your boat , then you don't know how to properly load your boat. You should be able to pull your boat on the trailer with a line (or well aimed non-powered forward drift) and then attach to winch to load the last few remaining inches on the trailer!
@TravisKilpatrick23 Its called prop wash. It flushed the supportive sand from underneith the end of the ramp causing both a sandbar and end of ramp collapse. Now, if you drive your boat on and allow your momentum to carry you up the trailer, rather than trying to load in the above manner, that is different. I don't consider that power-loading.
@2jetskis well.. here's another thought. back the truck in more and BOOM! less prop wash. i work at a marina and load out at least 10 boats a day. and our ramp has never had an issue like you explained. but i'm not gonna argue your point becasue it's a valid point. so yeah.. thanks for your opinion.
If you're doing it this way, you are doing it wrong. Plain and simple. The only reason I can see for doing it this way is if the ramp was extremely slippery(covered in moss, or other plantlife).
@sthondast I have had my boat since 2005, i have only not powerloaded once... the motor wouldnt start. If its wrong to power load a boat onto a trailer, then EVERYONE at my boat ramp & every boat ramp in Florida i have been to are doing it wrong. This is how its supposed to be done so you dont spend all day getting ur boat on the trailer
@bertman668 I powerload my boston whaler every single time. its the right thing to do. look at the post above the mine that you replied to. thats the idiot that thinks it wrong.
@sthondast yeah i just meant to respond to the video not you in particular, i think ppl that dislike powerloading are just a bunch of babies that need something else to cry about.... If my way of loading my boat dosen't effect you then dont worry about it. Know what im sayin. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE BITCH JUST SO THEY CAN BITCH ABOUT SOMETHING
that is illegal also, it trashes the ramps and creates huge holes at the end of the cement so other people have a harder time. powerloading had been banned completely in wisconsin
U R A COMPLETE MORON EVEN IF I WAS DRUNK ID NO BETTER THAN TO NOT LEAVE THE TRAILER THT FAR OUT OF THE WATER U STUPID RETARTD. U KNOW HOW BAD THAT IS FOR YOUR MOTOR. GOD ITS STUPID IDIOTS LIKE U WHO RUIN THE FUN OF BOATING
i've had alot of times at the lake watching idiots that don't back on up when it won't run on up the trailer if it takes that much back on in a little more not that hard to do really a pretty simple process but when you get all the yo yo's from the city it can be entertaining and the sure don't seem to want any advice. So if your from stl and you come to the lake listen to the locals out here we probably know
What an ass. Hope the ramp is concrete all the way down, or jerks that do this are digging a huge hole @ the end of it. Pretty sure most trailers come with a winch. Use 'em!
not sure what the big deal was except it took a couple extra minutes, yes i can load my boat by myself in the amount of time he used that includes driving the truck. i biggest thing is people that sit at the dock waiting for people and blocking it for others to use when the could just pull away and come back....
powerloading causes sandbars because the motor depending on the ramp and how long concrete continues the prop blows sand up and back and continuous powerloading maeks sandbars and then other boats hit them.
you guys are so retarded theres nothing wrong with powerloading a boat it takes less time to powerload a boat than to use the fuckin winch and just because he powerloads his boat doesnt mean hes drunk
@dragonkiller301 Thank you im glad someone knows something about boating. And to all the haters who the fuck cares how he loads his boat its his,and he didnt take a half hour at the ramp.

@dragonkiller301 Thank you im glad someone knows something about boating. And to all the haters who the fuk cares how he loads his boat its his,and he didnt take a half hour at the ramp.
the car dosnt need to go more in the water. The common retard will do this, which causes the rear end of the boat to float off the trailer. Its simple, i see skids, its not a drive on trailer, different story if he had rollers. Im a professional fisherman, i launch boats every day, and their things you learn. Go to Altona boat ramp in Melb or Bermagui is NSW and watch all the NAFAS (not a fishermans asshole) try retrieve their boats, good laugh, then eventually you help them
@HEADSTOCK7 you dont wanna raise the trim allot.. its a common problem i see in EVERY boatramp.. people are scared of bottoming out, so they put their trims up high.. HELLO, were your steering gone now? not saying your wrong, your right, but up to an extent, however in this scenario, it wont make a different, he should buy a drive on trailer ;)
Make that douche pay for the repairs to the boat landing. I get sick of backing my trailer into the water and then it falls off the 1-2 foot ledge. Last time I almost got stuck because my trailer got caught.
IDIOT! Power loading your boat, erodes away the soil below the dirt ramp and causes problems. come on im 15 years old. and i took my boaters course when i was 13. I think the boaters course should be MANDATORY!
This is a typical way of loading a boat and is trained at the Coast Guard Auxiliary. It is much less dangerous than trying to crank a boat onto a trailer.
I do the same thing every weekend. I'm not sure how power loadind is going to erode the ramp that goes another 50 feet into the lake. My only suggestion is to do it quicker.
It is amazing what people will do to keep from getting their feet wet. I love hanging out at the boat ramp watching people. I have seen people take more than 10 minutes just to back down the ramp...in the same amount of time I can back down the ramp, unload by myself, tie up to the dock, walk d
It was so shit and boring to see, delete the video, please.

2WD trucks don't cut it on slippery ramps and the owners are scared to back in enough. Therefore they "Powerload".

Powerloading a boat isnt that bad depending upon the type of ramp i powerload my boat all the time let people do what they want and if you dont like it well its a part of boating.
cozygunsmoke 6 months ago
Why are you all arguing and crying over something so stupid!! some ppl powerload some ppl drift it on.. life is too short!! fucking children
cjlachapelle83 6 months ago
Just because you power-load your boat you think it HAS to be the right thing to do. YES, it DOES affect others. if you're on a long concrete ramp, I'm so fricken happy you. If your not, you're creating a drop-off at the base or end of the ramp! Why do you think it's against the rules and illegal on many ramps? Personally, I think you're the one BITCHING to try to justify power-loading. But then people like you are always gonna do what ever the hell they want.
Cheers mate!
defaultyepper 6 months ago
To prove my point, just check out all the idiots in vids here that are trying to powerload their boats.
yourpos5mikes 6 months ago
You're kidding - right? You mean to tell me that you've never seen the DNR signs posted at public boat ramps that say "NO POWERLOADING"? Think about it. If you have to powerload your boat , then you don't know how to properly load your boat. You should be able to pull your boat on the trailer with a line (or well aimed non-powered forward drift) and then attach to winch to load the last few remaining inches on the trailer!

Power loading ruins ramps...end of story.
2jetskis 6 months ago
@2jetskis i disagree. if you can explain to me how they ruin ramps. then maybe i'll agree
TravisKilpatrick23 6 months ago
@TravisKilpatrick23 Its called prop wash. It flushed the supportive sand from underneith the end of the ramp causing both a sandbar and end of ramp collapse. Now, if you drive your boat on and allow your momentum to carry you up the trailer, rather than trying to load in the above manner, that is different. I don't consider that power-loading.
2jetskis 6 months ago
@2jetskis well.. here's another thought. back the truck in more and BOOM! less prop wash. i work at a marina and load out at least 10 boats a day. and our ramp has never had an issue like you explained. but i'm not gonna argue your point becasue it's a valid point. so yeah.. thanks for your opinion.
TravisKilpatrick23 5 months ago
If you're doing it this way, you are doing it wrong. Plain and simple. The only reason I can see for doing it this way is if the ramp was extremely slippery(covered in moss, or other plantlife).
cptom21 6 months ago
this video really really sucks. what the hell? EVERYBODY does it that way. get a life
sthondast 7 months ago
@sthondast I have had my boat since 2005, i have only not powerloaded once... the motor wouldnt start. If its wrong to power load a boat onto a trailer, then EVERYONE at my boat ramp & every boat ramp in Florida i have been to are doing it wrong. This is how its supposed to be done so you dont spend all day getting ur boat on the trailer
bertman668 6 months ago
@bertman668 I powerload my boston whaler every single time. its the right thing to do. look at the post above the mine that you replied to. thats the idiot that thinks it wrong.
sthondast 6 months ago
@sthondast yeah i just meant to respond to the video not you in particular, i think ppl that dislike powerloading are just a bunch of babies that need something else to cry about.... If my way of loading my boat dosen't effect you then dont worry about it. Know what im sayin. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE BITCH JUST SO THEY CAN BITCH ABOUT SOMETHING
bertman668 6 months ago
boats are designed to be driven up hills and dry ones at that

gravy67 9 months ago
that is illegal also, it trashes the ramps and creates huge holes at the end of the cement so other people have a harder time. powerloading had been banned completely in wisconsin
hxc5150lp 9 months ago
@hxc5150lp same here in ohio. Stuff like this is why the boaters safety course should be mandatory.

Ls7colorado 10 months ago
i've had alot of times at the lake watching idiots that don't back on up when it won't run on up the trailer if it takes that much back on in a little more not that hard to do really a pretty simple process but when you get all the yo yo's from the city it can be entertaining and the sure don't seem to want any advice. So if your from stl and you come to the lake listen to the locals out here we probably know

mdr8088 11 months ago
What an ass. Hope the ramp is concrete all the way down, or jerks that do this are digging a huge hole @ the end of it. Pretty sure most trailers come with a winch. Use 'em!
nelliejones1 1 year ago
Why did I watch this video, not that big a deal
chevycarl 1 year ago
not sure what the big deal was except it took a couple extra minutes, yes i can load my boat by myself in the amount of time he used that includes driving the truck. i biggest thing is people that sit at the dock waiting for people and blocking it for others to use when the could just pull away and come back....

I like the sound of the prop getting hit by rocks or just nicking the bottom.Hah Retard.Only had to come back 2-3ft with trailer. Then no problems.
daneo101 1 year ago
powerloading causes sandbars because the motor depending on the ramp and how long concrete continues the prop blows sand up and back and continuous powerloading maeks sandbars and then other boats hit them.
TheFoosha 1 year ago
Power loading can damage a Motor (depending on ramp) it is just not advised. do what ever you want with your boats i dont care
XboxPhantom 1 year ago
you guys are so retarded theres nothing wrong with powerloading a boat it takes less time to powerload a boat than to use the fuckin winch and just because he powerloads his boat doesnt mean hes drunk

the car dosnt need to go more in the water. The common retard will do this, which causes the rear end of the boat to float off the trailer. Its simple, i see skids, its not a drive on trailer, different story if he had rollers. Im a professional fisherman, i launch boats every day, and their things you learn. Go to Altona boat ramp in Melb or Bermagui is NSW and watch all the NAFAS (not a fishermans asshole) try retrieve their boats, good laugh, then eventually you help them

whats the proper way to load a boat onto a trailer?
87bobert 1 year ago
could go much closer in with trailer, also could raise the trim. tool
HEADSTOCK7 1 year ago
@HEADSTOCK7 you dont wanna raise the trim allot.. its a common problem i see in EVERY boatramp.. people are scared of bottoming out, so they put their trims up high.. HELLO, were your steering gone now? not saying your wrong, your right, but up to an extent, however in this scenario, it wont make a different, he should buy a drive on trailer ;)
zomgre 1 year ago
Make that douche pay for the repairs to the boat landing. I get sick of backing my trailer into the water and then it falls off the 1-2 foot ledge. Last time I almost got stuck because my trailer got caught.
tainterlakeisgreen 1 year ago
IDIOT! Power loading your boat, erodes away the soil below the dirt ramp and causes problems. come on im 15 years old. and i took my boaters course when i was 13. I think the boaters course should be MANDATORY!

he could just back up the trailer a little more and make his life easier
aybam12 1 year ago
This is a typical way of loading a boat and is trained at the Coast Guard Auxiliary. It is much less dangerous than trying to crank a boat onto a trailer.
gtrayler 1 year ago
@gtrayler not true at all..
DefyMartin 1 year ago
I do the same thing every weekend. I'm not sure how power loadind is going to erode the ramp that goes another 50 feet into the lake. My only suggestion is to do it quicker.

It is amazing what people will do to keep from getting their feet wet. I love hanging out at the boat ramp watching people. I have seen people take more than 10 minutes just to back down the ramp...in the same amount of time I can back down the ramp, unload by myself, tie up to the dock, walk d
