  • what's the song?

  • @LOLXDVIVO its the song that comes up when your in jiggiwiggis temple

  • OK... WTF is "Black Barrage"

  • While probably fake, it was a fun and interesting story at the very l;east--thumbs up

  • Every good fake plan needs to make sure people can't try it at home, so that's why he included the talking to Jolly a "billion" times. But, it's amazing what a few clever photoshops and a thorough story will make people believe.

  • your just like a lawyer, you always bring up points that have nothing to do with the case or linking your points with totally retarded shit, like hearing seagulls under a table, assuming its an easter egg, stop n swap involves eggs, that automatically 100% means its completely linked to each other.

  • has anyone even tried to do this on the Xbox?

  • The opened chest picture was photoshoped. He used the chest opening from the treasure trove cove entrance and stuck it on.

  • What is there to reveal? Its was just left out because N64's hardware would be damaged if you swop cartridges with the N64 ON. My guess is Rare left it in there so players would find them just as a little "game"...

  • What is the Stop N Swop Answer? Rare will just shut it until they blow.

  • it was just a gimmick by nintendo... stop n swop, this game is just plain crazy so they might have put it in there for Shits n Giggles! dont you see? mosdt of the stuff that is in this game is Fucked up anyway!

  • HOLLY LUYA!!! needs to be real! yet agen when the chest was opening that looked fake

  • if you look at what blackeye says for a while, it will give a hint that he was supposed to be the main character of the franchise and a bear stole his fame.

  • @Flamer589

"Banjo-Kazooie was originally known by the project name Dream for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The project starred a boy named Edison, who owned a wooden sword and got into trouble with a group of pirates led by Captain Blackeye. Dream was also scheduled to include a rabbit that looked like a man, a dopey dog, and a bear that became Banjo. After its code was transferred to the Nintendo 64, it

shown at the 1997 E3 as Banjo-Kazooie." -Wikipedia

  • we are in 2011 and still there is no game better than banjo kazooie, i hated nuts and bolts but banjo kazooie and tooie are simply master pieces!

  • its not fake because i nearly had it too. but then i froze and never worked again.

  • @greeneyeguy85 I was very young and didn't really collect anything as I think everything was already collected. If my memory serves me correct, I remember doing something in Mumbo Mountain and then the Note Door appeared. The Note Door accessed this circular room with a very skinny path going around it that if falling would land you into lava. At the other side of the room was a picture of Grunty behind a lava world.

    And you welcome! :D

  • @greeneyeguy85 I honestly don't know how you would know if you had an early version sadly. But then again, this thing I accessed as a kid might not have even been Stop N' Swop but could have been another secret within the game.

Friends I talked to who rented the game from the same video store I did remember at the final boss battle Gruntilda turning you into a frog (which was supposed to be in the final version but scraped for time).

I think the game was already beaten 100% by the way.

  • @greeneyeguy85 It was Banjo-Kazooie 1 and it was the portrait you first see when entering Gruntilda's castle. Thanks for responding by the way. It's hard to believe some random person online who has no credibility whatsoever, but I know what I saw. I think it might have been only accessible in a few of the early cartridges released in stores. That would make more sense since it still hasn't been figured out to this day.

  • Could someone please tell me a how to and where to order Banjo Tooie by mail? I can't order it by computer D:

  • They DEFIANTLY deleted stop n swap in b-t because my brother had a friend who worked on b-t but you are pretty much correct on everything so far (except when banjo said 'who is that pirate at the back' that part has nothing to do with stop n swap banjo always says that on my game and jolly says 'that's black something he got sea sick poor thing' or something like that) so yer but I think you cheated some how....... Any way well done I liked it:)

  • 3:45 Whose penis is that poking out of that treasure chest?

  • Maybe the mystery would be a free Nintendo 64! :) lol Anyone?

  • thumbs up if things like this freak you out like when you find a secret and the game is like NICE TRY!

  • Whoa this is freaky

  • When I was younger I somehow accessed Stop N' Swop before the eggs and keys were even known in Banjo-Kazooie (1). Or... at least what I think is "Stop N' Swop." What happened is a Note Door opened up under Gruntilda's portrait that required all of the notes in the game and leads to a Lava Room that has a Gruntilda portrait that needs the remaining Jiggy's you have left over. I rented the game at a video rental store and didn't know what I was doing (little), so I never accessed the world...

  • 5:13 is fake look at the crudy graphics on the right corner

    of the chest

  • @oldschooln64

Didnt you see his grapichs glitched out totally during that pic? BUT This can be fake but is a really good theory.

  • This video is... cool and weird at the same time.

  • I don't think it's fake

    It's Perfectly real

Could you tell us what the message in the chest was?

  • ... where do you get the banjo kazooie rom thingy?

  • and the pictures in blackeye's room that shows the location of the purple egg? (in banjo kazooie)

  • What about the treasure chest in Mad Monster Mansion,in a room, which has only one picture, BLACKEYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LerakoLanche To me this seems fake and staged. No videos, but a few screenshots with signs of editing.

  • my stop n swop theory

it was incomplete on relese day so they just left it there incomplete not delete ing it

  • ... I really want to find the secret.

meaby Rare will reveal it someday. ( I DON'T THINK SO)

    but I hope.....

  • @PatmanEpic dude you want to find it out??? on the side vids theres vids by the guy THUMBSupmaster. he is awesome. oh did you know that that i dropped my KEY on my COLORFUL EGGS. u didnt want to know that i know. hey also this guy in my ear is such a HAG. have you ever heard the song BEHIND THE WATERFALL? its a SECRET song. man im being a rotten EGG. man i wish i can change colors like: BLUE, PINK,GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, and more..... did that help? if it didnt read again and pay more attention.

  • ye4rs gone by and we still lookin but theres no point anymore cause i figured it all out

  • @bezobed me too.

  • FAKE

  • i knoiw thw problem u must get banjo kazooie and banjo tooie for n64 the real cartragis then it shal work but u have to get the real game not the rom i havent done this but i know for a fact it will work with the real games

  • @chaomaster42 No, I'm afraid it doesn't work at all. Stop 'N' Swop was officially cancelled and relaunched in the Xbox 360 version of the games, with hints of a Banjo Kazooie Three.

  • Okay, did Rare REALLY expect a bunch of 8 year old to figure this out?

  • Would really like to believe this video, but too much "then the game froze" or "I did this this and this and then this happened". It references back to the classic: "Pics or it didn't happen"...you can't seem to provide pics for all of your claims. Fake or not, congrats. Its very interesting.

  • @RawrUTN Ah, it's a fake. Notice how when he gets text to come from the characters that aren't accessible by normal means are just pictures, cleverly edited ones at that. Another thing is that the textures go all....weird during this text.

As if he's using a different emulator that lets him mess around with the text/edit models (Treasure Chest) via hex.

Fake, but a clever one back when it was released. It's pretty obvious that it's fake, though. So I'm pointing out the obvious. =/

  • @Daluigi207 also he was using normal kazooie to use that seagull thing and then when he said "who is the pirate in the back room?" dragon kazooie was there

  • @Daluigi207 Seems so, but you can do a lot with hacking. So much that you could have Grunty chase you around her lair saying "GET OUT, OR ELSE YOU'LL NEVER SEE TOOTY AGAIN!". (wtf?) Anyway, like he said in the video, it seems we would need an N64 and Gameshark for it to work. Of course, because of circuit changes in N64, we would have to use the NUS-001 (first version of N64) for it to work.

  • @mpdkrm Now if only it was real...Also, I think the treasure chest may have been edited in...

  • @Daluigi207 Now that I look closer the chests.... look even more fake then I thought!

  • you said day 5 two times...

  • @mitch13815 and did not say 6

  • @Daluigi207 I no how detailed that comment is and i congratulate u for it but another way to say its fake is... look at his mouth at 3:02. His mouth should be red or otherwise it's a bad colour fault in the game

  • @Daluigi207

But what you're seeing in the video is a recreation of what (he says) actually happened. We have to take his word for it is all...

  • I like this video, it seems quite... honest XD

but I was wondering, what if you just used the regular cartridges and an actual gameshark? would that work? Or maybe different versions of the game or different N64 models? There should be some way for SnS to work (whether or not this video is fake), but I don't think anyone has exhausted all the possibilities yet.

  • i don't think this is real...

  • I got a question...

Is Banjo & Tooie in Wii Shop Channel?

Its cuz I read some comnents and it said "you should play it in n64" something like that...So yeah if it is please tell me or Banjo & Kazooie either one. k thanks.

  • @lilshyemo11 no it isnt on wii shot channel cuz Microsoft bought rare so thats why banjo kazooie nuts and bolts is on xbox 360 and instead of it being on the wii shop channel its on the xboxc market place

  • @wiiboy34 Aw that sucks =(

    Well thanks for telling me!

  • @lilshyemo11 im trying to hack it into the wii using things called wads no luck so far but if it does work ill make a video bout it!!!

  • @wiiboy34 Oh thats so kool o_o too bad Idk how to hack xD but eh I dont want to =P

They should of put Banjo 1 & 2 in the Wii shop =[ its such a kool game...ugh.

  • actually, no. this is fake.

  • you know whats also weird?shopping around town is the same music that plays in jollys but why put in music thats already playing when you enter jollys?

  • you should do this with the real n64 and a gameshark that might make it easier.

  • @legodude0580 Yeah, I figured that it wasn't important enough to deserve a fifth post. I was explaining why stop 'n' swop is mysterious, not it's entire history.

  • @legodude0580 Was it on the Xbox version?

  • @legodude0580 *cracks knuckles* It all started back in Banjo-Kazooie. When a player completed the game after collecting all of the jiggies, Mumbo would show them pictures of "items that you missed" and "would be used in the next game". We were shown 3 colored eggs and an ice key, which were hidden in easily locatable parts of various levels, but the paths were blocked. Gamers searched, but no way was found that allowed them to reach the items (other than hacking).

  • @gigastrike2 A couple years passed, and the second game, Banjo-Tooie, was realeased, and players were eager to find how the eggs from the first game would be used. Within the game, one could find the 4 items, which would then unlock special abilities among other things...but, players weren't satisfied. They still believed that the items needed to be collected ni the first game. To test this, a group of hackers working under the name "Rare Witch Project" hacked the game an collected the items.

  • @gigastrike2 What they found totally shook the communities perception of the game. There weren't just the 3 eggs that were shown, but 7. In the egg collection screen, the words "Stop 'n' Swop" were shown, giving rise to the name. It was believed that, in order to unlock these secret eggs, something would need to be done in Banjo-Tooie. Then, the cartrages would need to be "hot swapped" (the running game would be removed from the console, and Banjo-Kazooie would be quickly plugged in).

  • @gigastrike2 This would work because information would be stored on the console's temporary memory long enough to be accessed by the second game. Information would be carried over onto Banjo-Kazooie, the eggs would become available, and hot swapping back would unlock something in the second game...but it didn't. Turns out that the N64 couldn't hold temporary memory long enough, so Rare dropped the idea and never told the community, giving us only the 3 eggs and key in Banjo-Tooie.

  • @gigastrike2 gotta admit it would have been a unique idea

  • if only this was real. itd be nice to have some closure,

  • um this is fake :/

  • u know wat i use to be in a fine game to but a bear stole me glory

  • i bet when the next banjo comes out stop n swap 2 ends up with a rick rolling

  • at the end you can see a painting of the pink stop 'n' swop egg

  • you should look for an older n64 online and games (banjo kazooie and tooie)

  • This is all completely fake, anyone watching this should realize this immediately.

  • guys they took sns off a long time ago but my cusin worked at rare and he nose the awser ill tell u guys when i find out!

  • My biggest problem:

Every time this "hidden text" is ever spoken of in the static pictures.

The characters portrait is missing in every one. Why would they?

  • you guys its fake

  • i have nin64 dose that work?

  • Looks fake

  • when i was like say 4 years old i found eggs and keys and had no idea

  • omfg im so curious -.-

  • Thumbsupmaster made fun of this video it is pretty funny lol

  • I know the truth.

  • THAT'S IT!!!!!

FUCK IT! I'm getting a job ar RARE when I'm older and finnally get this damn thing solved for my self! Then I can be the bich that says "Sorry I could tell you but I would have to kill you."!

  • @MissRosalinaLuma

    So we'll meet in there...

  • @MissRosalinaLuma its fake

  • This totally does work, but Stop N Swop has prolly given so many people nightmares, RARE decided to call it off..LMFAO

I remember finding the colored eggs and ice key as a kid, not knowing what they were for. Who knew they were soooooooooooooo important. I also noticed how "Stop N Swop" isn't spelled the way it should be. So maybe it has somethin to do with the pirate dude? (since thts how they speak) Why an Ice key? Why in Freezezy Peak? coincidence?? maybee....on purpose?? I THINK SO! aha

  • what is there to solve? Stop 'N' Swop Is Just a Mode in the 2 games that lets you switch items to unlock new Items. Nintendo said that the idea of swapping the games would damage the N64, So rare scrapped it but left the menu, cheats,Eggs,Ice Key and everything else in banjo kazooie on accident. There is nothing to solve! Rare just hated all this speculation that they put most of these "clues" into the second game to make you more angry and give up! it is just a mode in the game!

  • so if i do this on my n64 with bt this would happen?

  • @seanyyysy

    No, sadly it would not.

  • @seanyyysy

Please, don't think these stupid .........

  • lol banjo kazooie suddenly got interesting again xD

  • That music was suspiciously calm and slow, I was expecting a screamer or a RickRoll to pop up any time.

  • Two words.

    RARE. RULES.

    More than two words.

I love how they've been keeping people guessing for literally YEARS. And none of this has ever gotten old. I'm thinking about getting in on the chase, even though I know not much will be uncovered.

  • Think about it. when you get the Stop n swop truth on nuts n bolts it says "I could tell you but then i'd have to kill you, and we couldnt do that in a game of this rating. put it out of your mind and think happy thoughts! Thanks for the notes" theres oviously no way at all to find the truth. only way possible is by telling the pple who made the danm game. and you think they'd be willing to tell us?

  • All players an fan of BK, are tryng to solve Stop N Swop, everybody sayng very things to how to solve it,could be one way,or otehr way,or other various ways... Why eggs??? Why evil bottles?? Why pirate, why paintings on pirate rooms of BK levels in pirate room?? Why all that? Rare doing that only to doo fans on an search,or is they doing this for real??? How to solve??SnS Exist?? or the point and the central question Is all that true?

  • dude the music is scary, and i was scared :O ^_^

  • This is still a good video to watch and think about, even when the real stop n swop was a huge dissapointment

  • @brak8796

The answer to Stop 'n' Swop is still out there, and I think Rare used Nuts & Bolts and the XBLA releases as a kind of out to get the Stop 'n' Swop people off of their back. Really, the purpose is out there, and they tried to cover it up in N&B and failed horribly....

  • This video is so.. scary. o.o

  • @yoabsol It's the music's fault...

  • This gets me confused and leads me to ask myself " Then WHO are getting this Stop-N-Swop into every game?" well maybe Stop-N-Swop only were a mistake? maybe they cant explain becouse they DONT KNOW themselves? And as Slyeyes assumes, they were for new parts in Nuts & Bolts. But how could they knew that Nuts & Bolts would come out then?

  • @administratorn They didn't know that nuts and bolts would come out... they simply made an easter egg system that they didn't end at the time because they wanted to resurrect it later in a new game (Nuts and bolts).... they were waiting for the right game to be released... who knows maybe it still hasn't.. maybe nuts and bolts is just the start. this stop n swop could also be finished in another game by rare that has nothing to do with banjo kazooie...... Think about it

  • Rareware: "it exists. but its not suppose to". Just one of the phrases that made me confused but got me to think. One thing just shined up from the others Rareware: " WE have nothing with Stop-N-Swop". Even though Banjo-kazooie and banjo-tooie witch they claimed the connection to those games where Stop-N-Swop in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.

  • mmkay

  • i think we all know that the stop and swop eggs and the key is to get new parts in Nuts and Bolts becuase if you get the xbox live banjo tooie and banjo kazooie the eggs you find go to nuts and bolts wich allows you to get new parts in sertin locations the ice key appears on top of boggys gym and you get some new parts that you couldnt get in the game

  • If you truly know the real idea of Stop n Swop, then you'd be a real B-K fan. Not a noob who just found a "Banjo meets the Gummi ship of Kingdom Hearts" game.

  • people this video was from 3 years ago, and of course stop and swop has finally been lived, ( through the xbla versions of banjo kazooie and tooie, as well as nuts and bolt)

And to reply to the comment below me, he used yo use a crappy emulator that had numerous grachical glitches, as seen in the screenshots, and in his old videos!

  • Are you fucking kidding me? This is complete bullshit. Don't buy this crap. Notice how when he says that he got jolly to say certain things, he showed it not in the game, but in a screen shot. However, these screen shots are obviously photo shopped. If this was a joke then don't mind this comment, lol

  • so? it's been 4 years.... have you finally discovered the stop n swop misteries?

  • the eggs are for nuts and bolts guy

  • @kento141

I have no comment for such stupidity and lack of common sense...

  • If I have got it right, you need to NOT use the "Ice key" for unlocking the big glowbo? But for the chest. Just like when you get the "big glowbo" you miss the key, you only have 1. And the "stop n swop eggs", can't you transfer them from banjo kazooie to banjo tooie?

  • well in the beta of tooie, there were still mumbo tokens, so that means that there were no glowbos. that includes the big super glowbo. that means that there wasnt supposed to be an ice key in tooie. i agree that the key has something to do with that chest

  • 3:48 Photoshop

  • you said day 5 two times and never said day 6

  • interesting if you weren't a good computer hacker i would live in misery as to how the stop and swop works

  • Wow, good job dude! I'd never found all this stuff out. I'm really interested in the stop 'n swop thingies.

  • yeah yeah!!...it does make that seagull sound..even on the N64...It had happened to me...but it was on accident..lol me and my friend were playing around.and thought it was nothing....

also..this video did make me feel "uneasy". Maybe its cuz of the music???

  • yeah same here kinda creepy

or a build up to a screamer

  • yeah exactly I feel the same way when I look up subliminal messages I feel creeped out right now

  • were you not able to do stop n swa because you couldnt switch roms im confused.. you think you can message me on details. plz

  • Nice find! I love how you didnt give up and kept fucking with the code until it worked. But you said the chest contained a message, you said "This I regret." What was the message? Was it a system failure? A crash? Or a real message, like one the game put on purpose? I like how you said "Maybe Rare deleted it for good." but you still found more. Please message me back with that message. Thanks!

  • this video made me so weird. when you said Who is the pirate in the back room? i got scared.. and when the screen froze i was confused lol

  • @Sporefan21 yeah this video made me feel very weird too. It's kind of unsettling in a way. That pirate question was very odd. I wish the "seagull sounds" would have actually played in the video to show us..

  • jolly is gay!!!

  • what is the name of the song??

    cool!!

  • Now, I'm not just going to come and say this is true, but it seems that a lot of these static images are static because they couldn't be photoshopped easily into the video, so it was done the next best way: pretending the game crashed, or that hypercam might have screwed up. Again, I am not saying this video is real, nor that it is fake.

  • youre a fucking genius dude! i would have never thought of that! its such a shame that u do not have banjo tooie on n64 :(

  • what hypercam is good to mess up?

  • lol stop'n'swap would be great for rickrolling.

  • if your saying its fake its not becuase my brother and his friend tried to figure it out all night and they did they did it it was so confuzing but yeaa its complicated i dont really remember much about i though

  • actually i believe stop'n'swop. i was just saying that there are so many stop'n'swop movies and you could easily put Stop'n'swop answer and easily rickroll a ton of people.

  • ha true and like stop and swap was never complete becuase the n64,s were soppesed to let you switch the game and save the memorie in 10 seconds witch was atempted to be used for stop andd swap but when they were realeased it didnt work so they didnt complete it

  • @dukeyxxyz agreed

  • I don't really think that it's fake.

First of all, it is possible to generate a code to trigger a cutscene. that's because no codes are ever deleted, they're hidden into a free space in a debug room.

Second, can you imagine a chest that close to the wall stay straight when forcifully opened?

Probably the chest was a model scripted to tilt when opened.

Third, someone said something about faces. The colors may screw up during freeze glitches. That would explain the black face icons.

    So there.

  • what, did'ent the original stop and swop wanted you to take out the first game and put in the second? but they said it did not work and messed up most n64s

  • The Nintendo 64 originally had the ability to store memory for 10 seconds which was required for Stop 'N' Stop to work, but it got redesigned to only be able to hold memory for one second before Stop 'N' Swop was released. That's the short story.

  • It's 2009 already, we know now the truth about Stop'n'Swop. But I don't regard such videos to be lying, just simple fun. Seems like 2006 was the year of online Stop'n'Swop speculations. Nostalgic.

And the maker of the video actually succeeded to explain all these fake things in a way to make people inexperienced with coding and games believe it.

  • what's the truth then ??

  • You can read it in any GameFAQs faq of Banjo-Tooie.

To sum it up: BK items aren't carried to BT with S'n'S, but you can get them with cheats in BK and as non-S'n'S secret items in BT.

  • where did you get this rom? i need one that isnt so laggy.

  • how do u get the jukebox to work???

  • why does everyone say this is fake? what makes it so obvious?

  • plenty of things make it obvious. For one thing, look at the tresure chest scene, beginning around 5:10. The inside of the chest makes it appear it is tilted a an angle toward the screen. But, the chest is flat on the ground, not tilted, showing that the chest lid and inside were ripped from somewhere or created from scratch.

Finally, all that "code" stuff was complete bull shit. I know codes exist, but you can't create a code to show a cut scene when the code was deleted.

  • you have a good point, you would need the infromation of a cutscene before typing something in to activate it.

  • Exactly, plus the whole treasure chest thing at 5:10. It's a neat, unique video though.

  • yeah, i did like watching this video, even though it is fake.

  • fake.. but AWESOME!!!

  • This is obviously fake,

    But great storyline :)

  • It's so obviously fake, but guys, don't whine and complain about it. Just enjoy it.

  • a fake, maybe, but a good fake

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe the OTHER Chest was supposed to be used instead of the one the key opened

  • if this was real, there'd be videos of it. Videos of the chest opening,of banjo speaking, etc.

  • fake

  • Why don't you just try alll of this stuff on the N64 Banjo-tooie

  • Not sure if it's real, but wouldn't t be nice to think that one chest led to Mad Monster Mansion and the other led to the Exit of Treasure Trove Cove? And when you jumped back in the exit of the cove Jamjars would pop up and ask if you wanted to go to Jolly's or the Cove.

  • what you need to do is replicate this on an N64 with a hacking device. If that doesnt work, you then should proceed to force it out of nintendo, rare, or microsoft( cuz they bought rare)

  • the chests in that room are suspicious but he is a pirate after all and in bk mad monster mansion has another room with his picture and in that room there is a chest strange?
