Tee off time of the day (Thursday or Friday) Saturday or Sunday) it should maybe be the ten shot rule, ie their playing partner just plays and who ever didn't turn up loses ten shots on that hole, But only after waiting at least five minutes!
You just don't get it do you? You said it you're self it's a stupid rule....... The only way any rule or law has ever been changed is because people like Phil speak out against it, unlike Jim who just said okay it is what it is! I love golf but some of the rules are just so stupid it is unreal. Padraig Harrington was Disqualified for touching his ball after he had taken away his ball marker, (Where I play it's a 2 stroke penalty) If someone is late to the tee they should be put back to the last
Mickelson probably didn't blame him because he knows Furyk took adequate preparations to get up in time. Would you setup 2 alarms to ensure that 1 of them goes off in the case that 1 fails? Ridiculous precautions for what is meant to be a fun day for amateurs. The pro-am is beneficial to the pro playing it too, they get to play the course in the tournament setup conditions. Perhaps an adequate penalty is missing being able to play the pro-am and therefore the course experience, not to be DQ'd.
Phil gave his opinion. Just like YOU did by saying "and by the way, it (the rule) IS ridiculous". So what's the problem? He can't give his opinion but you can? Rules are rules, but some need to be changed. How are the ridiculous rules ever going to be illuminated if players all kept their mouths shut? With 39 tour victories and a longstanding member of the PGA tour, I think he is more qualified to give his opinion to the commissioner than you. And THAT's a no brainer.
its only a rule for half the field they dont make tiger play pro-ams its stupid and if ur gonna rant about what mick said dont agree with him in the end.
@slippreygritz It's stupid to have a rule that doesn't apply to everybody. I agree with Mick there...but Mick didn't blame Furyk for oversleeping at all. Furyk messed up and acknowledged that he messed up. I said don't blame the rule without blaming the guy who broke that rule. Pay attention better.
shut up u bore. err rules can change if enough people make a fuss. u want it to be a fascists state where no one questions rules. go back to sleep
