  • This looks like a lot of fun, I wish we'd do this at my barn but the horses would run out of the grid and we have too much of an ability gap in the lesson for it to be safe for everyone to switch. Check out my videos though please and give me some advice.

  • awsome riding and lovely horses :-) just be careful not to grip with your legs when you are riding no stirups

  • I love the little appy pony!! <3 GREAT job!

  • Ive jumped without reins. It really helped me trust my horse far more better. But i did notice in most of the clips you were all haveing reins and stirrups. it could be my jacked up eyes but still. lol

  • @KrystalIceStudios the whole lesson wasn't without reins and stirrups, it was only for a portion of the lesson. They would have died of exhaustion otherwise haha.

  • @marimba101 i hope u no i wasnt trying to be snooty . i was just curious. (:

  • @KrystalIceStudios oh no no! i didnt think it sounded snooty :) I understand!

  • I SO wanna try jumping (when I learn) without holding onto the reins and no stirrups ^.^ looks like SO MUCH FUN!!! <3

  • definately noticed a improvment just in this video. just one lesson without using your reins and stirrupsa definately improved your release and your postion:) great job guys!

  • most of the people have reins and stirryps?

  • 1:05 girl to small for horse

  • They all have reins and stirrups..

  • You guys are really good :) Your lessons look like fun, even if your instructor does only seem to have one word in her dictionary!

  • Amazing job guys :)

  • u all look awesome!

  • i have got to try this this coming summer on my horse

  • If i drop me reins my horse bucks rly bad :(

  • if i drop my reins WALKING on my horse he would take off.... GREAT JOB

  • I jumped 4'3 like that on my big gelding. It was the scariest thing ever because my trainer told me to close my eyes too. It lets you feel your hip placement a lot easier and I love it.

  • You guys were great! looks like alot of fun, and your ponys look like their having a blast!

  • STOP SAYING WHAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS KILLING ME

  • SO much respect for these riders. You guys are fantastic!! I would be scared out of my mind to jump without reins or stirrups. Keep it up!! :D

  • I give props to everyone in the lesson. wish I could do that without stirrups and reins

  • to everyone who is complaining about the trainer saying whoa all the time...I don't know anyone from this barn but stop criticizing geeze. What's the trainer supposed to do, grab the reins and pull back. Come on give 'em a little slack they're going through this with no stirrups and no reins, that's a feat in and of itself, how about you try it.

  • TALK ABOUT THE TOUGHEST CRITIQUES COMMENTING. IM MEAN REALLY GUYS, YOU CANT EXPECT EVERY BARN,RIDER,AND TRAINER TO BE PERFECT -.- INSTEAD OF BASHING THIS TRAINER AND RIDERS HOW BOUT YOU TRY SOMETHING NEW LIKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM. IT TAKES GUTS FOR PEOPLE TO OPENLY UPLOAD THEIR VIDEOS TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB

  • @Foxcrazy123 Thank you!!

  • Trainer: WOAH WOAH (horse crashes through jump) Nice Job!!!

  • why does she keep saying woah and all the horses have weird spots to the jumps but i think it was cool how you got to switch horses

  • why does she keep saying whoa and all the horses had word spots to the jumps

  • y did someone keep saying whoa??? oh well seems like a fun lesson though...=)

  • maybe your problem is the measuring.. it doesn't make any sense...

  • Guys, I ride with this trainer. She is amazing. We are pretty much all jumpers, and they were doing a difficult exercise to work on their horses backing off. She was saying "Woah" to remind the girls to stay quiet and not just let go. They also were with no reins and stirrups!

  • It did kind of annoy me when the trainer kept saying whoa. I've always been taught that you never tell a horse whoa unless to stop. Why say whoa when you're jumping and want the horse to go forward? I just tell my horse easy or something...

  • Trainers are tough to make you better, When the horses sped to quickly, She said whoa, and they slowed. She's a great trainer. And she's actually helping.

  • this line has 5 jumps, and every horse jumped it at least 7 times=35 jumps, I’m sure that you did some warm-up jumps prior to this (5 warm up jumps)=40 jumps, and thats not 40 jumps ridden as a hunter course ( outside, diagonal, outside, diagonal) this is intense, it also doesn’t look like any of the horses have wraps on their legs = you’re very lucky none of the horses strained a ligament, but I don’t agree with everyone else, i think your trainer was doing a great job

  • Okay a lot of people i have read are like "your trainer says whoa to much" when the horse isnt doing anything...truth is, if you actually WATCH the horses: your trainer does not say whoa when the horse is staying slow and balanced: she says it when the horse is getting too quick which is losing the adjustment to the striding to the fences (especially the dapple grey which seems to like to rush through the grid). I think you trainer is great for being very interactive and a actually HELPING

  • How high was the lay fence in the bounce? Or gymnastic or whatever, the last oxer??

  • Obviously their trainer knows what she's doing, because these girls are amazing riders!!! You can't say you hate someone after just watching a 4 minute video!!! So geez go critique someone you know!!! You guys are amazing riders!!!!!

  • when ALL of your horses are chipping at a very calm pace, that probably means that you did a shitty job of measuring the distance between each jump.

  • @watermelonhead4 Mmm or there lazy horses and arent picking up there legs ;) Looks like stable horses .. i could be wrong..

  • @watermelonhead4 i totally agree!!!

  • @watermelonhead4 Look I wasn't in the lesson myself and I dont know how my trainer set the grid at the time, but I've known these horses a long time, and know that every one of them has problems backing off and rocking back on their haunches, rather than being on their forehand constantly. They're chipping obviously because they are trying to figure out by themselves how to back off and strengthen their haunches in a short line.

  • @watermelonhead4 Also have you considered the fact that the riders have "no reins and no stirrups!" These aren't perfect hunters- most are green and they like to go forward after a fence! The rider's problem, not mine.

  • I hate your trainer. WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH! Now I'm qualified to be a trainer.

  • @LivinLifeTheMegWay wow, unnecessary much?

  • @marimba101

No, not really! Not when it's true. Anyways, if all of your horses were being foward and it wasn't good with reigns, why would she have you go no hands. That's just more dangerous. On a good day, yeah my trainer has done that before too.

  • @LivinLifeTheMegWay ya i know right! i hate your trainer because she said whoa a bunch of times. that means she's awful. (fyi, that was sarcasm)

  • @TAYLORSANTOSUOSSO

Well, obviously saying woah wasn't stopping them from going foward.

  • @LivinLifeTheMegWay no, it doesnt. whoa can also mean go slower.

  • @LivinLifeTheMegWay the problem isn't always knowing what to say as knowing when to say it, maybe she knows something you don't abou tthe horses and riders and that was what needed to be said.

  • every horse would get chippy distances to the fence with a ground line

  • When I'm a horse instuctor (one day far in the distance), I'm totally gonna do this to my pupils. Excellent job controlling your horses without reins and stirupps! What's next, are you gonna jump bareback and bridleness? :D

  • good job!! all you guys are awesome riders!! you all did so well staying calm when you had to work things out!! All the horses are gorgeous! keep it us! :)

  • i think u guys are awesome riders... but u are jumping these horses way too much in one day for just a lesson

  • why does she say whoa whoa whoa when u went them to GO not WOAH

  • @hanna52901 on which horse? when my trainer says "woah" around 1:14 it's because the horse is about to run into every pole from being too deep to the fences. she just wants her to back off a little so they dont knock everything over. but at like 00:58 she's not saying woah, she's going "ehhhhh!!" because she has no hands or stirrups, and is a bit worried for her safety, haha. wouldn't you make some sort of concerned noise if you were doing something like that?

  • @marimba101 ur trainer on almost every horse she keeps sayying woah woah woah when they are jumping

  • @hanna52901 shes saying that because every horse in that lesson was getting a quite deep to all the fences in the grid. you can't just run through a grid like that and expect your horse to leave everything up. Shes a trainer, she knows what shes doing.

  • @marimba101 i wasnt rying to be rude. i just wanted to know.....

  • you look so good!

  • It looks awesome with you guys!

  • you gurls are great lovely horses

  • haha:L you's make it look so easy!

    that was amazing :D
