We run no guards frequently. We it's in a stupid position or when clearance is a problem. Did it yesterday, inverted flush cut wall sawing a susp. slab. All sorts of props in the way, sometimes the guards don't fit. If it's a simple door or floor trench yes, they go on. But since when is wall sawing simple?!
