  • THIS IS THE ORIGINAL BEAT OF ERIC B -N- RAKIM -MELODY-...ASK ANY D.J. FROM N.Y.C. ask D.J. CHUCK CHILLOUT - W.B.L.S. or D.J.RED ALERT - 98.7 KISS F.M. ... I grew up wit it

  • @thefaze59

you have forgotten the Producer of this track , Marley Marl ! .. he was also on wbls

  • dude your shit is whack make it better.

  • This original back track beat was used in the original live LL Cool J's 18th birthday in NY and Kool Moe Dee with TLA Rock rocked it live... This beat sounded way better and trully freakin dope than the Eric B's version of "My Melody"... If anybody knows the real name of it let me know.. Its one of the greatest beats/melody ever created in Hip-Hop history! Oh and its on "Rap Archives part 1" CD where Kool and T-LA Rock jammed to it!

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Lol im hoping it will come back. Cause you can't keep true hip hop down. And i would love for my generation to see the true rap/hip hop...

  • LOL, THIS IS A REAL BEAT AND IT SHOULD HAVE A BIT OF A MIX UP THAN THIS, OR WITH RAP OVERLAYED WITH IT!!!!

  • great job on this beat

  • legendary

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Hearing someone your age say that gives me hope that the industry still has a chance. I'm only 27 so I grew up with 90s west/east cost gangster rap and I used to DJ until I realized I couldn't stand the music I was playing anymore. Sorry but rap died with soulja boy, akon, t-pain, and Kanye.

  • @S13Sldewayz not under ground rap

  • Wow you did a good job with this. I was only looking to capture the whole song to throw into serato but I think I'll use this as well.

  • I was around during these days of hip hop. In fact, I knew these guys well and worked many shows with them during this era. I love reading the comments from the younger dudes about this particular style of music. I agree that this was a great time for hip hop. I don't take anything away from any of the new generation artists, but this was good time to go to shows in the Bronx and all over NY or anywhere any of these group were playing basically! Nice instrumental beat!

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper ... yo i was young myself... like around 4 or 5... but man i gotta tell you this was the era.... if there wasnt so much crack dealings... shootings and all that government endorsed BS on the public at the time... this era would have been truly golden and then hey.... who knows what direction hip hop would have really went in... considering it was the 80's that influenced 90's hip hop so much to let out the frustration of what it was like in the streets... RIP Big L, 2 Pac
