  • I hate it when people say "you shouldn't cover this/that band". I mean, no band is perfect, stop being so pretentious. I personally love this cover because it got me into Pavement.

  • I MISS YOU ALEKS

  • Someone covering Pavement's "Frontwards." Great choice and good rendition. And I never been to Maxell's. I hear YLT play there a lot.

  • Sucks dude!!! pavement is the best ....this not do!!!

  • The version on the EP is the perfect complement to the original Pavement song -- faster, sweeter, more fun, but losing a bit of Stephen Malkmus's wonderful disdain for everything.

This version doesn't have the quality of a studio production or the energy of actually being there live, so it's pretty much worthless. Brings back good memories though...

  • i know that originals are always better than the remakes or covers, but i think what they did to change it up was really good!

  • This is a perfect song for them to cover.

  • Brilliant cover! I love LC! and I love Pavement, so a perfect combo!

  • no style and it's certainly not wasted.

  • I miss Aleks...

  • Gee, lots of haters here. What's not to like about a band covering a somewhat overlooked Pavement song? Beats covering a Spin Doctors or Blind Melon song of the same year.

    An enjoyable rendition methinks.

  • i love both bands, pavement that little bit more, but i think they did this justice, not as good as pavements but made it there own

  • lead singer's got the whole Cher mic grip thing going on

I know imitation is the grandest form of flattery, but jeeze, this song's just butchered. IMO

  • the vocals are too weak

  • this band sounds like a record company's attempt at marketing to a bunch of awkward teenagers who are transitioning from emo to indie music. thumbs down

  • Maybe SM was right. "So much style that it's wasted"...here.

  • im so in love with aleks the female with the red hair...my god shes beautiful

  • me too, she is gorgeous!

  • Too bad she's left the band, to go to medical school...

  • so much style that its wasted

  • I don't know why people hate this cover so much. I mean, the audio in this video is pretty badly recorded; the studio version of their cover is fantastic. And yeah, its different from the Pavement version, but Los Campesinos! just doesn't do slow very well, they do frenetic and jumpy and poppy, and I love them for it.

  • Complete and utter crap.

  • I had to look this up because someone said this cover was better than the original, obviously he/she was wrong.

  • @ascgal i never knew pavement could be so dainty.

  • lets be honest as much as i love los campesionos noone should even attempt to cover pavement

  • @daaliminator2 maybe you shouldn't get 'everything is ending here - a tribute to pavement' largely awful but the shoot the singer cover is brilliant. check out my vids

  • Someone needs to put a live version of the original on Youtube. Los Campesinos: great band but poor cover.

  • Ugh, terrible.

  • cool take on the song

    its at least interesting

they're not just trying to sound pavement

but of course the original is the jammy jam

  • it was okay..definitely not pavement material.

  • The violin was cool but didn't care for the cover as a whole.

  • this was better than the original.

  • Yup

  • They totally fucked up the song.
