  • wats with the cough?

  • my fave movie;P. cooleo☺

  • one of my favorite movies! love it!

  • some one coughs @ 0:08

  • ive heard this at school today in some other class in first hour which was lucky for them. since mine had to do worksheets

  • Why can't people make the movie like the book? I love the book and the movie, but it's just not like the book hardly any at all.

  • its not based on the book, the book and the andrew lloyd webber version are two completely different things there hardly alike

i thought the book was good, lloyd is a genius though.

  • i didn't know the old man was raoul, i thought it was the phantom and since he had wrinkles the scar didn't matter anymore so thats why he's in the actual world now.

  • whats up wit the cough??

  • lol ya!

  • not the best quality but it still rocks

    thank you! :)

  • why is there a bunch of coughing??

  • That is Raoul coughing, reflecting his poor health.

  • ...Nice cough...

  • is this the real movie?

  • there are many movies, but this is one ... the newest i think

  • oh! ok thanks! i think this might not me the one i am looking for!!!

  • who is the old lady? it can't be er christines mum/carrer/adopter thing can it? cus otherwise shed be like over 100 years old Oo

  • It's Meg Giry, Who was approximately the same age as Christine.

  • oh, what her friend?

  • Yeah. :)

  • oh! thankyou :D

  • It's Madame Giry NOT Meg Giry. The script/book says it's Madame Giry. She was only 30 something during the movie. At this point she would be between the ages of 70-85. She's in great shape and health from all her years of ballet and being a ballet mistress. As for Raoul, after all the stress of his life he has aged badly. Even though he is younger than Madame Giry he looks older because his life was more stressful/depressing. After all, the woman he loves has love for another man (Erik)

  • wo you know your stuff!

  • Are you being sincere or sarcastic? Just wondering cause I can't tell.

As for knowing a lot about Phantom....I'm freaking obsessed.

  • if your obsessed, the book is the best way to "let it all out" trust me... been there done that! i was going crazy over the book!!!

  • Been there and done that too. I've read the book 3 times. And I've read Kay 3 times too. I liked Kay better though.

  • OMG..yes..the book is AMAZING! the dude that wrote the book (sry. for calling him the dude...its just a habit) MAKES you believe that the Phantom is real..and i love it because of that..he dosnt make the story look like a story..but a diary...

  • You mean Susan Kay, cause he's a she. lol. :-P

And it is the best phantom book, hands down.

  • oh...ic u read the original copy...i read the "renewed" the one they made the musical from

  • just read the book...

  • Raoul also had to live through WW1 which he proberly fought in

  • aaaaah is the ending on youtube where the phantom christine and roule (or however u spell it) are in the chamber thingy

  • well, there goes my movie henrycrumm. lol

  • huh?

  • you said what happens at one part of the end! there goes my movie! lol

  • oh lol sorry haha

  • oops!!! i was logged on as my sisters account when i was explaining what i said! sorry henrycrumm!!!

  • lol tis ok

  • i lov the way its set out

  • NOTICE how the chandelier is lot 666!!!!

  • Lol, I did notice that!

  • Is the whole movie on youtube ?:)

  • Of this version? No. :(

  • Actually, yeah, it is. :3

  • i like love the phantom

    he can keep me

  • *passes over a cough drop*

  • lmao hahaha

  • i thought that was me coughing, but then i read the comments! LOL!!!

  • is this a color version

  • is that cough supposed to be there?

  • Good question.. ^^' Lol

    I love the movie!!

  • Yes; That is Raoul coughing, reflecting his poor health.

  • does anyone know where i can get a clearer version?

  • No it's the first scene

  • this isn't a flashback, didn't this scene happen after the rest of the movie?

  • This is the first scene in the movie even though it's technically after everything happened. it's set in 1919 while the rest of the movie (that's in color) is set in 1870. so really, the movie is memories coming back to life.

  • did somebody just cough in the very beginning?

  • in what part does carlotta sing?

  • thank you so much for putting this film on youtube,it is one of my favourite movies, have any of you seen it in the theatres?

  • I just saw the Broadway production of this on Friday... breathtaking.

  • thank u i was trying to see this since it came out

  • thank you loads!!! xxxxxx

  • In sleep he sang to me

    In dreams he came

That voice which calls to me

    And speaks my name

    And do I dream again?

    For now I find

The phantom of the opera is there,

    Inside my mind

  • i never seen the movie but i've always wanted to

  • You rock! One of my all-time favorite movies!
