Cuba casas particulares - private houses in Vinales and Trinidad

Hello! I am going to Havana in 3 weeks and staying in a Casa Particular for the 9 days I'm there. I want to visit Trinidad or Vinales but if I had to choose, I wouldn't know where to go. Any suggestions? I understand that Trinidad is almost 500 years old and a beautiful colonial village but I don't know much about Vinales. If we don't have a car (we wont rent) can we bus and how? Thanks from Canada. :)

Our Family in trinidad and Vinales were very nice, they are so friendly and also they cook very well! :) you can find the details in the video so you can contact them. there are busues for turists connecting havana to trinidad and vinales. there is also a direct bus vinales-trinidad. it takes quite a lot as the roads are not so good. but it's really the only option for you. the comapny is viazul. you will find the ticket office there. make sure you book in advance!

If I have to pick between vinales and Trinidad...maybe vinales because it's closer to havana. be aware, once you are in vinales, you'll want to stay more! there are some good beaches there as cayo jutias and cayo levisa.
