first level - get the star instead of cape and you can get 20+ lives if you chain the kills properly.

in the area right after the transparent block that gives different items, there are a bunch of enemies, including several wigglers. if you keep jumping on them without touching the ground, you can get a bunch of 1-ups as you probably now. If you fly off screen temporarily, the enemies will regenerate and you can keep doing this indefinitely. The really cool thing though is that when you jump on the wigglers, something really weird happens. More fun if you try it out for yourself :)

@Disasterpiece0302 I actually disagree with you about the swimming mechanics. Yes, in probably ALL other Mario games swimming sucks the most! But in this game they actually make it a bit easier by letting you use the control pad to determine how you swim. Ex: if you hold down while pressing B to swim, you'll actually only bob up a tiny bit, as apposed to having to worry about how lightly you press B to not swim very high. Holding up while pressing B makes you swim upwards very fast, too. XD

How is Forest of Illusion hard? bro, i love your vids and they have helped me get a few things i've missed, but go in w/ Yoshi and a cape, get a fire flower. on the random power up thing, always get a star and run all the way through and you get atleadt 10-15 1up or 2ups. i use it alot to get lives for star road lol. this is a new comment for an old vid :P.
