@krosode12 i think west and kobe are in the same level.west was as dominating,in his era as kobe,if not more!west has better stats in all categories 27p. 5.8reb 6.7as 2.6steals 0.7bl....the last 2 categories count only in west's last season when was 36 so maybe had better stats!he also had 47.4fg% ,better than kobe to!nba finals mvp first year was in 1969 and west was the 1st eventhough lakers defeatd in finals!as concern competiton,oscar,frazier,barry,havlicek,s.jones,greer,bing,maravich...
@krosode12 as concern champs is the only categorie kobe is better but west had to face 4 of the official top10 nba teams ever!60's celtics and 76ers and in70's bucks and knicks!especially in 60's west had baylor who was great but had many injuries and many medium players and boston had 6-7 hof!kobe won his first 3rings mainly cause he had teamate the best player in the league at that time SHAQ!so he led la in 2 rings and west in 1!ikobe was the best player for 6-7 years but west was also great
i agree 100% with rose's list...i only think that wade could be top 5 when end his career,in the same level as drexler and gervin but not in the same as west, kobe and of course mj!
@QBDogKiller i am sorry man but less teams means more competition, not less cause more talented players play i a team!for example 60's celtics had russell.cousy,sharman,s.jones,havlicek,heinsohn,howell,k.c jones, sanders all are HOF ,except the last 2 who were great role def,all the other were stars!how many are champion teams, anyway in today's NBA?i do n't think more than 5-6,the other are to complete the scedule!as concern stats wilt avr 19reb in 70's when teams almost had same stas as now!

@BNS224 u are right, for example havlicek was a superstar who led boston in 2 more champs in 1974 and 1976 after russell,s.jones, heinsohn and all those great retired and had about 29p 9reb 7.5as for 3 seasons eventhough was over 30 years old!but in 60's was the 3rd option in offense and was the great perimeter defender who had to guard oscar, west or baylor!THIS IS A TEAM,when supertsars like hondo sacrifice his talent so his team win!in my opinion he is very underrated today,is top 5 sf ever.

4 ROSE,WADE,CARMELO,T.PARKER,HOWARD,CP3,DURANT,PIERCE,ETC, ARE GREAT OFFICERS.

@grazemn Yes which is why I said "If he never got hurt" I know he hasn't achieved that much, it's a shame that he was plagued with injuries he was just as athletic and as good with the ball as Kobe the only thing Kobe had on him was the 3-pointer... I'd love to see a healthy T-Mac come to Chicago and win a few championships.
@ojama96 drexler, maravich, gervin, AI(if we count him as a SG) also ray allen. i understand that you got your own oppinion and i respect that. im not saying wade is bad or anything but still... we cant just put every SG in todays game into a all time list. there have been SGs that contributed more to the game than wade and they deserve a better ranking. Cheers.
@GammaBoom I know that these guards were great in their time, and that they've changed the game. But when you compare these players with Wade, you see that Dwyane can do everything that they do and even more.
@ojama96 no i disagree again. wade cant handle the ball or shoot it like maravich or Iverson, he also cant do what ray allen does and thats where he falls behind them. if you think about it rays threes are almost undefendable if played correctly.wade is a good all-around player but his miles away from MJ or Kobe. at least at this point since he got at least 5 seasons to play.
@dzoni3009 that's not true at all! people like drose, kobe, durant, etc all LOVE the game....in fact those guys are UNDERPAID for what they do for the game across the globe....kobe has said that he and other are overpaid.
@airjordanxiv The same thing u were basing the idea that west is better than kobe on. first of all im pretty sure u have never seen west play in ur generation and second kobe has accomplished more in a generation were there are so many dynamic talents,He maybe the logo but their are many who make that logo worth looking at.1 Jordan 2 kobe 3 west ..when guys like Wade finish their careers thell be better than these guys.. Fact is the next generation always exeeds the old one
@stanzre You dont know what I am basing my assumption on. Being a studier of the history of the game I can tell you Jerry West was a phenomenal player. Kobe is also a great player but in this era it is easier than ever for perimeter players to score as nearly all the defensive physicality has been taken out of the game. That was exactly what the NBA aimed to do. There may be better athletes in this era, but there are no where as many good fundamentally sound basketball players than ever.
@stanzre The new generation does not always exceed the previous one. Take a look at the previous era in comparison to the current one to prove that wrong. Wade may be among the discussion as an all-time great, but he has some serious work to do to get there.
@stanzre You are right and Jerry West was excellent on both offense and defense but lets look at some deeper metrics. Though Kobe has scored more points than West, you have to account for the fact West played when there was no three point line and watching games, had there been one, his scoring would have been higher. However, West averaged more assists and rebounds, steals and blocks weren't counted as official stat until West's last season but in that year, his averages were higher than Kobe's
@stanzre career averages in those areas. West's offensive win shares are higher than Kobe's for all but one year, while Kobe does have a higher DWS than West.West has a higher overall win share though. The NBA started the all NBA defensive team in 68-69 and he was on the 2nd team that year and 1st team the rest of his career. If you watch the games Kobe has not been at a 1st team level for the past couple of seasons ( DWade has been though). Kobe has a higher PER .
@stanzre he's an all-time great but not better than West, particularly when you dig into the metrics and not just because Kobe is from a more current era.
@stanzre At what exactly is KB better than Jerry West at??? West avg. more pts, more ast, more reb, was a better defender, better shooter, better in the clutch, etc. West avg. 27 ppg w/o a 3pt line. KB is very good but when it comes to SG 1A and 1B are Jordan and West and KB is a distant 3rd. If rings are the only things that matter Sam Jones would by far be the best SG.
@Dalibor1512 Less tougher my ass. There were like 8-14 teams when West played meaning that he went up against all-star/hall of fame players nightly. Today the league is watered down with 30 teams including perennial losers like SAC, MIN, CHA, TOR, etc. I mean if Nash an unathletic, savvy 6'3 guard could put up 50-40-90 annually, West who was a hell of an athlete could still put up those great numbers, maybe more with the addition of a 3pt line.
@BNS224 How tuff was the nba at the time of west.did they have 250+ LB 6'11 guys like howard, ben wallace and Shaq in the leaugue. did west lift the laker nation to the prime kobe has ...did west get to play against basically thugs like james, world peace andmany others who are so athletic they make football players look normal. no he played in a league that would be killed by modern day players.he was sheltered..By the way im sorry to use this but.."ITS JUST MY OPINION" dont kill me for it. LOL
@stanzre Kobe did not take Laker nation to the prime, West and Baylor started it, then Magic and Kareem took it to the threshold, then Shaq got 3 and Kobe only did back to back hell Isiah Thomas did that. West played w/ guys like Russell, Wilt and Kareem who would dominate Shaq, Ben Wallace, and Howard. U put KB on those 60's Lakers vs 60's Celtics and the Lakers lose even worse. West is better than KB at nearly every category and KB plays in a 30 team watered down league. West > KB
@BNS224 u seem to talk alot about the guys surrounding kobe and west but the fact of the matter is we r talking about two people here.Let me ask u a question.if u say west ..than its okay cuz even though ur lying at least ur lying to urself."IF U PUT WEST IN HIS PRIME AGAINST KOBE IN HIS PRIME IN A ONE ON ONE OR WITH TWO TEAMS WITH IDENTICAL TALENTS.WHO and or WHOSE TEAM WIN" to me and the rest of the world kobe bullies west in one on one and hits the game winning shot against his team...FACT
@stanzre West. Hands down. West not only can play the SG position better than Kobe but also is able to play PG. When he got moved to PG he led the league in assists. By the time they starting keeping track of steals he was 36 and avg. 2.6 steals. Kobe is not as great a shooter, passer, rebounder, defender or clutch player as West. KB is very good but West > Kobe.
@BNS2 4 Okay Now i know im talking to a guy who know nothing ...KOBE IS NOT a good shooter passer rebounder defender ...r u kiding me all nba defensive team every season in a leaugue with these people ...all star every year after the first year ,....im done West <KOBE
@stanzre They didn't have an all-defensive team till West's 10 season and he made it like every year. WEst not only was an allstar every year he was All-NBA 1st or 2nd team consistently. West avg. more reb and ast than Kobe. West also has a higher fg. pct and was a much better shooter. Obviously u r the one who doesn't get it. West > KB.
@BNS224 dude go out there and ask the expert whove live in both erras and then come back and tell me west is better than kobe...DONE Black mamba>The LOGO
@stanzre Like u said, It's just ur opinion. In my opinion based off the #'s, video footage, and NBA personnel who have covered and played w/ West or Bryant I would take West over Bryant. In the playoffs West avg. 29.1 pts, 5.5 reb 6.3 ast w/ .469 fg pct vs Kobe 25.4, 5.1 reb, 4.8 ast w/ .448 fg pct. When it mattered most West stepped it up. Unfortunately he played against the greatest dynasty in team sports (60's Celtics).
LoL...I hear what you guys are saying...But, I totally disagree...You put West in with the players of the Golden Era (mid 80's to lat 90s), and he's not going to be that much of a factor...Look, I'm not a little 12 year old kid...I'm 34 yo and have seen plenty of basketball, and archival footage...The ONLY aspect in which 60's 70s players match up to more recent ones in their sportsmanship, teamwork and competitiveness...Kobe, and other fairly recent players, would've been MVP every year.
@chrisx2k6 I think you all are putting too much emphasis on nostalgia, and not looking at this objectively, at all...Totally different game we're talking about during the Golden Era, and Kobe was a part of it...Personal dislike for Kobe aside, give the man his due respect...He's the 2nd best player IMO. My top 5 guards: 1) MJ 2) Kobe 3) Magic 4) Wade 5) Lebron...Look, I'm a Lebron hater...But he's up there guys...If I was going to build a team, you bet your ass that this is my list.
@chrisx2k6 Stockton barely misses making this list...Honorable mention to Jason Kidd as well. All of the guys I mentioned are lock-down defenders when they are called upon to do so. Kinda iffy w/ Lebron...Never know who's going to show up...Know what?..Knock Lebron out and put Stockton at 5.
Jerry West should be #2 why he scored more ppg than Kobe and they didn't have 3 pointers back then even. He shot a better fg%, had more asts and rebs. Don't forget they didn't start the All NBA Defense till 1968-1969 and West made it every year he played till he retired. Also he averaged 29 ppg in the playoffs.
@CHRISTIANABUSED Nah...Kobe is better than West...you have to take era into account when you talk about 60's and 70's b-ball players...Kobe would've averaged 35 ppg and won multiple championships if you put him on a decent team back then. MJ is, unarguably, #1 and probably if not one of the best, THE BEST athlete of all time.
@chrisx2k6 Yes West is better. Kobe w/out the 3 pt. shot and playing with Wilt and Baylor wouldn't work. Also Kobe wouldn't have won multiple titles becaz there were some great teams in the 60's & 70's a lot more than he's seen since he's been in the league.
@chrisx2k6 West is better than KB. Michael Jordan and Jerry West are 1A and 1B then KB is a distant 3rd. West was just as intense and had just as high of a bball IQ as Jordan. West scored better, passed better, defended better, shot better etc. than KB. West avg. 27 w/o a 3pt line. If it weren't for Russell's C's the greatest dynasty in team sports, IMO West could have won 3-5 titles. If it were all about rings the greatest SG would be Sam Jones who won 10 rings.
Yeah Wade will be 4th pretty soon he's averaging 25 ppg 6 asts, 5 rebs and 2 stls. Also he won a title already. These guys forgot about Clyde Drexler who had more rebs and asts than Reggie Miller.
The best SGs are West and Jordan then everyone else. Kobe is good but not that efficient of a scorer (45% fg) and he only avg. like 5 reb and 5 ast. All three are good clutch players, but if I had 1 SG to shoot with the game on the line it would be Sam Jones. That guy hit several season saving shots, "We won a total of eight consecutive NBA championships, six times we asked Sam to take the shot that meant the season. He never missed." -Bill Russell
D Wade isn't here because when they made this list he was amazing but it was too early in his career. Like, Kevin Durant will probably be considered one of the best SF of all time, but it's too early to tell yet because he could get hurt or something like that
@the1sin I'm not saying that a Finals MVP is what matters. I was just saying that when this list was made it was too early to tell if wade would remain one of the best. At this point, I would say D Wade is in the top 5, but not a few years ago
1. MJ 2.No one is close to MJ 3.Kobe Bryant 4.Jerry West 5.Clyde Drexler 6. George Gervin 7.Allen Iverson 8.Reggie Miller 9.Dwayne Wade (atm) 10.Ray Allen
3. Oscar Robertson (yes he's more of a sg than a pg)
4. Clyde Drexler
5. Jerry West
and for those of you people saying ray allen is the greatest 3pt shooter, its actually steve kerr. i love ray ray but he's main game is 3pt shooting thats why he has the most 3s.
@the1sin Ray allen rains 3s like a boss man. Hes one of my favs, and I love D-Wade, just I think the work Ray Allen has done he deserves to be higher.
@M1ntberyxCrunch What has he done really? Anything Ray Allen done Wade has exceeded it. A ring? Wade got it. 2 Finals appearances Wade got it. Leading league scorer. Dwayne Wade is better player and it isnt even that close. Dwayne is a true ball handler. Ray Allen needs someone to give it to him. Dwayne Wade isnt half dont with his career and has accomplished more than Ray Allen. Wade> Allen. BTW Bird is not a SG he is 6'9 power forward
@the1sin Again, Probably by stats I can agree, in terms of favorite, and who I actually watched, and in my mind/opinion, Ray Allen is Above. BUt then again I respect your opinion entirely.
@the1sin first of all d wade is not a sg he became a sg when lebron came into miami, and second, why he put allen over wade ? maybe because is the greates shooter of all time ?
I don't know about 5 but top 3 is..
3) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
1) Michael Jordan
No way this list can be different.

Player stats before the 70's are overrated.
Wilt Chamberlain's numbers and the Celtics championships are product of the NBA having 8 teams in the league.
I'll say it again: 8 teams.
Winning the Western Conference in today's NBA is a tougher challenge than winning a title in those days.

AdreasTheGreat 1 week ago
@AdreasTheGreat
That would be true, except the talent level was not distributed equally.
So the theory of "less teams = more competition" does not apply.
Also, there was no salary cap back then which made it easier to keep players.
That's why the Heat's attempt to build a "super-team" in today's NBa is not simple unless they find viable role players willing to take pay-cuts.
The Celtics and their 10 championships during 60's in an 8-team league is nothing to brag about.

@johnnyrainbow50 even though i know where u commin from.. he would not be. he hasent achieved as much as these shooting guards have.
grazemn 3 weeks ago
@grazemn Yes which is why I said "If he never got hurt" I know he hasn't achieved that much, it's a shame that he was plagued with injuries he was just as athletic and as good with the ball as Kobe the only thing Kobe had on him was the 3-pointer... I'd love to see a healthy T-Mac come to Chicago and win a few championships.

@ojama96 wade??? you cant be serious... there were much better Sgs than wade sorry to bring it to you...
GammaBoom 1 month ago
@GammaBoom for example?
ojama96 1 month ago
@ojama96 drexler, maravich, gervin, AI(if we count him as a SG) also ray allen. i understand that you got your own oppinion and i respect that. im not saying wade is bad or anything but still... we cant just put every SG in todays game into a all time list. there have been SGs that contributed more to the game than wade and they deserve a better ranking. Cheers.
GammaBoom 1 month ago
@GammaBoom I know that these guards were great in their time, and that they've changed the game. But when you compare these players with Wade, you see that Dwyane can do everything that they do and even more.
Anyway, that's just what I think.
ojama96 1 month ago
@ojama96 I agree, Wade can do it all...That doesn't put him above Jordan or Kobe, but he's top 5 talent-wise, and he has a ring to boot!
chrisx2k6 1 month ago
@ojama96 no i disagree again. wade cant handle the ball or shoot it like maravich or Iverson, he also cant do what ray allen does and thats where he falls behind them. if you think about it rays threes are almost undefendable if played correctly.wade is a good all-around player but his miles away from MJ or Kobe. at least at this point since he got at least 5 seasons to play.

angryboy951 1 month ago
@stanzre what are you basing that on?
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@airjordanxiv The same thing u were basing the idea that west is better than kobe on. first of all im pretty sure u have never seen west play in ur generation and second kobe has accomplished more in a generation were there are so many dynamic talents,He maybe the logo but their are many who make that logo worth looking at.1 Jordan 2 kobe 3 west ..when guys like Wade finish their careers thell be better than these guys.. Fact is the next generation always exeeds the old one
stanzre 1 month ago
@stanzre You dont know what I am basing my assumption on. Being a studier of the history of the game I can tell you Jerry West was a phenomenal player. Kobe is also a great player but in this era it is easier than ever for perimeter players to score as nearly all the defensive physicality has been taken out of the game. That was exactly what the NBA aimed to do. There may be better athletes in this era, but there are no where as many good fundamentally sound basketball players than ever.
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@airjordanxiv By the way being a great player also means being an all around player ... Kobe is offensively and deffensively better
stanzre 1 month ago
@stanzre The new generation does not always exceed the previous one. Take a look at the previous era in comparison to the current one to prove that wrong. Wade may be among the discussion as an all-time great, but he has some serious work to do to get there.
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@airjordanxiv are u saying the dream team would beat the redeem team.\
(Magic-MJ-Bird-Barkley-Ewing) Vs (CP3-Kobe-Melo-Lebron-Howard)
stanzre 1 month ago
@stanzre You are right and Jerry West was excellent on both offense and defense but lets look at some deeper metrics. Though Kobe has scored more points than West, you have to account for the fact West played when there was no three point line and watching games, had there been one, his scoring would have been higher. However, West averaged more assists and rebounds, steals and blocks weren't counted as official stat until West's last season but in that year, his averages were higher than Kobe's
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@stanzre career averages in those areas. West's offensive win shares are higher than Kobe's for all but one year, while Kobe does have a higher DWS than West.West has a higher overall win share though. The NBA started the all NBA defensive team in 68-69 and he was on the 2nd team that year and 1st team the rest of his career. If you watch the games Kobe has not been at a 1st team level for the past couple of seasons ( DWade has been though). Kobe has a higher PER .
Is Kobe great, absolutely..
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@stanzre he's an all-time great but not better than West, particularly when you dig into the metrics and not just because Kobe is from a more current era.
airjordanxiv 1 month ago
@stanzre West is an absolute beast, also, check the date of this video.
LBJMVP6 1 month ago
@stanzre At what exactly is KB better than Jerry West at??? West avg. more pts, more ast, more reb, was a better defender, better shooter, better in the clutch, etc. West avg. 27 ppg w/o a 3pt line. KB is very good but when it comes to SG 1A and 1B are Jordan and West and KB is a distant 3rd. If rings are the only things that matter Sam Jones would by far be the best SG.
BNS224 2 weeks ago
@BNS224 jerry west also played in the 1960's when the nba was much less tougher than it is now
Dalibor1512 2 weeks ago
@Dalibor1512 Less tougher my ass. There were like 8-14 teams when West played meaning that he went up against all-star/hall of fame players nightly. Today the league is watered down with 30 teams including perennial losers like SAC, MIN, CHA, TOR, etc. I mean if Nash an unathletic, savvy 6'3 guard could put up 50-40-90 annually, West who was a hell of an athlete could still put up those great numbers, maybe more with the addition of a 3pt line.
BNS224 2 weeks ago
@BNS224 How tuff was the nba at the time of west.did they have 250+ LB 6'11 guys like howard, ben wallace and Shaq in the leaugue. did west lift the laker nation to the prime kobe has ...did west get to play against basically thugs like james, world peace andmany others who are so athletic they make football players look normal. no he played in a league that would be killed by modern day players.he was sheltered..By the way im sorry to use this but.."ITS JUST MY OPINION" dont kill me for it. LOL
stanzre 2 weeks ago
@stanzre Kobe did not take Laker nation to the prime, West and Baylor started it, then Magic and Kareem took it to the threshold, then Shaq got 3 and Kobe only did back to back hell Isiah Thomas did that. West played w/ guys like Russell, Wilt and Kareem who would dominate Shaq, Ben Wallace, and Howard. U put KB on those 60's Lakers vs 60's Celtics and the Lakers lose even worse. West is better than KB at nearly every category and KB plays in a 30 team watered down league. West > KB
BNS224 2 weeks ago
@BNS224 totally agree that west is better than kobe, your spot on there
SeanMDolan 2 weeks ago
@BNS224 u seem to talk alot about the guys surrounding kobe and west but the fact of the matter is we r talking about two people here.Let me ask u a question.if u say west ..than its okay cuz even though ur lying at least ur lying to urself."IF U PUT WEST IN HIS PRIME AGAINST KOBE IN HIS PRIME IN A ONE ON ONE OR WITH TWO TEAMS WITH IDENTICAL TALENTS.WHO and or WHOSE TEAM WIN" to me and the rest of the world kobe bullies west in one on one and hits the game winning shot against his team...FACT
stanzre 2 weeks ago
@stanzre West. Hands down. West not only can play the SG position better than Kobe but also is able to play PG. When he got moved to PG he led the league in assists. By the time they starting keeping track of steals he was 36 and avg. 2.6 steals. Kobe is not as great a shooter, passer, rebounder, defender or clutch player as West. KB is very good but West > Kobe.
BNS224 2 weeks ago
@BNS2 4 Okay Now i know im talking to a guy who know nothing ...KOBE IS NOT a good shooter passer rebounder defender ...r u kiding me all nba defensive team every season in a leaugue with these people ...all star every year after the first year ,....im done West <KOBE
stanzre 2 weeks ago
@stanzre They didn't have an all-defensive team till West's 10 season and he made it like every year. WEst not only was an allstar every year he was All-NBA 1st or 2nd team consistently. West avg. more reb and ast than Kobe. West also has a higher fg. pct and was a much better shooter. Obviously u r the one who doesn't get it. West > KB.
BNS224 2 weeks ago
@BNS224 dude go out there and ask the expert whove live in both erras and then come back and tell me west is better than kobe...DONE Black mamba>The LOGO
stanzre 2 weeks ago
@stanzre Like u said, It's just ur opinion. In my opinion based off the #'s, video footage, and NBA personnel who have covered and played w/ West or Bryant I would take West over Bryant. In the playoffs West avg. 29.1 pts, 5.5 reb 6.3 ast w/ .469 fg pct vs Kobe 25.4, 5.1 reb, 4.8 ast w/ .448 fg pct. When it mattered most West stepped it up. Unfortunately he played against the greatest dynasty in team sports (60's Celtics).
BNS224 1 week ago
@BNS224 I respect that but in my opinion kobe is not only better than west but better soon he will top MJ
stanzre 1 week ago
LoL...I hear what you guys are saying...But, I totally disagree...You put West in with the players of the Golden Era (mid 80's to lat 90s), and he's not going to be that much of a factor...Look, I'm not a little 12 year old kid...I'm 34 yo and have seen plenty of basketball, and archival footage...The ONLY aspect in which 60's 70s players match up to more recent ones in their sportsmanship, teamwork and competitiveness...Kobe, and other fairly recent players, would've been MVP every year.
chrisx2k6 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 I think you all are putting too much emphasis on nostalgia, and not looking at this objectively, at all...Totally different game we're talking about during the Golden Era, and Kobe was a part of it...Personal dislike for Kobe aside, give the man his due respect...He's the 2nd best player IMO. My top 5 guards: 1) MJ 2) Kobe 3) Magic 4) Wade 5) Lebron...Look, I'm a Lebron hater...But he's up there guys...If I was going to build a team, you bet your ass that this is my list.
chrisx2k6 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 Stockton barely misses making this list...Honorable mention to Jason Kidd as well. All of the guys I mentioned are lock-down defenders when they are called upon to do so. Kinda iffy w/ Lebron...Never know who's going to show up...Know what?..Knock Lebron out and put Stockton at 5.
chrisx2k6 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 WTF are you talking about? This is an SG list. None of the guys you mentioned played that position.
Hotobu 1 month ago
Jerry West should be #2 why he scored more ppg than Kobe and they didn't have 3 pointers back then even. He shot a better fg%, had more asts and rebs. Don't forget they didn't start the All NBA Defense till 1968-1969 and West made it every year he played till he retired. Also he averaged 29 ppg in the playoffs.
CHRISTIANABUSED 1 month ago
@CHRISTIANABUSED Nah...Kobe is better than West...you have to take era into account when you talk about 60's and 70's b-ball players...Kobe would've averaged 35 ppg and won multiple championships if you put him on a decent team back then. MJ is, unarguably, #1 and probably if not one of the best, THE BEST athlete of all time.
chrisx2k6 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 Yes West is better. Kobe w/out the 3 pt. shot and playing with Wilt and Baylor wouldn't work. Also Kobe wouldn't have won multiple titles becaz there were some great teams in the 60's & 70's a lot more than he's seen since he's been in the league.
CHRISTIANABUSED 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 West is better than KB. Michael Jordan and Jerry West are 1A and 1B then KB is a distant 3rd. West was just as intense and had just as high of a bball IQ as Jordan. West scored better, passed better, defended better, shot better etc. than KB. West avg. 27 w/o a 3pt line. If it weren't for Russell's C's the greatest dynasty in team sports, IMO West could have won 3-5 titles. If it were all about rings the greatest SG would be Sam Jones who won 10 rings.
BNS224 1 month ago
@chrisx2k6 NOPE WEST WAS BETTER THAN KOBE
suncitynews1 1 month ago
Yeah Wade will be 4th pretty soon he's averaging 25 ppg 6 asts, 5 rebs and 2 stls. Also he won a title already. These guys forgot about Clyde Drexler who had more rebs and asts than Reggie Miller.
CHRISTIANABUSED 1 month ago
@CHRISTIANABUSED Clyde was no.5 on Jalen's picks
144church 1 month ago
Wade is not on these guys level
sittinhighh 1 month ago
The best SGs are West and Jordan then everyone else. Kobe is good but not that efficient of a scorer (45% fg) and he only avg. like 5 reb and 5 ast. All three are good clutch players, but if I had 1 SG to shoot with the game on the line it would be Sam Jones. That guy hit several season saving shots, "We won a total of eight consecutive NBA championships, six times we asked Sam to take the shot that meant the season. He never missed." -Bill Russell
