    and Ben... ugh. what talent.

  • amazing bass voice that man has

  • Excellent!!

  • props for the jungle arrangement!! listen to this all day every day.

  • if this song was a person, it would be a really really really hot person

  • SONOS IS AMAZING

  • okay, I think I fell in love at 2:44....

  • Anyone else flip at the ridiculous beatbox fill at 2:43-45?

  • Theycame to my school toooo!!!! mmmmmm..... ben the beatboxer is smexy :P

  • I saw them at skool today they did this song and i want you back (: his throat looks like a froggyss (:

  • Prostě super ... Great!!! Pavel from Czech rep.

  • You guys came to my school!!!

  • Holy magic pedals, Batman. And an incredible arrangement. Thank you!

  • Good lord, this just blows me away. Can't stop listening. The vocal percussionist...is that drum & bass?

  • @MissNonSequitur It's all done vocally. Check out bennymclain Beatbox Tutorial in the column on the right of this screen if you want to see how he does it.

  • Thumbs down to the director, thumbs up to the group. What is with those artsy out of focus shots

  • @okonh0wp Different strokes for different artists, man. Sorry you don't agree, but there wouldn't be much to cinema these days if not for all the young adventurers with the art form through the ages. Veronica's latest experiments with visual and editorial ideas geniunely enhance the beauty of SONOS' performance, as intended. Christopher's mix is darn good, too. Well done all 'round, I say.

  • I love sonos and how they performed this song !

  • @MrCudney: The sixth member, Paul Peglar, left the group last spring to pursue acting and comedy which was his primary interest before joining Sonos. He and Ben McLain (SONOS' tenor and vocal percussionist) are a comedy team called Dakaboom. You can see a piece they worked on called "Party Probe" on Funny or Die. They were formerly known as Baul Point Pen. Chris Harrison of Sonos has written on their decision to remain a five piece vocal band in an interview at Digital Spy on Oct. 12.

  • What happened to the sixth guy? Was it artistic differences, or was he just going for something else? I feel like you guys could have gone all the way in the Sing Off with a sixth member to round out your lower range (though I totally believe letting you go for a "too inventive" arrangement was totally bogus). In any case, I'd love to join if you're looking for someone in the baritone/lower tenor range ;-)

  • Super! A wicked cool cover!

  • i loved this arrangement !!! you guys did a great job! it's super sexy. I really can't stand the original - so this was JUST the thing it needed to keep it interesting!!!!

  • I love this band so much.

  • fuckin dope!

  • Lead singer has such a beautiful voice and she's also gorgeous

  • Their better with the pedals

  • LOVE this group!

  • you guys remind me of that band luscious jackson!

  • Honestly, I feel like the Sing Off's goal was to get you guys heard. I mean, they knew without the effects you just didn't stand in a fair competition due to your arranging style and limits from size..but they wanted you to get out there, and be heard, because they liked you. I'm so glad I heard of you. You guys and Pentatonix need to do a collab ;)

  • Don't let the Sing Off verdict get you down - you're utterly fantastic musicians - the arrangements alone blew me away, especially this and "I Want You Back". I love your harmonies! The Sing Off performance let everyone know the pedals aren't a crutch, just a tool, and this video shows you know how to use them without letting it overshadow the vocal work. You have wonderful voices (and one kicking beatbox!) - Can't wait to see where you go from here. Come do a show in Boston!

  • Guys, they should have let you go further. Don't get down on this - hopefully your audience has increased since the show. I LOVE your pedal work. Never heard anything like it and I'm a music industry vet. Great job - wish you could have won. Would have made a great EP.

  • Fantastic. Suck it, Ben Folds.

  • oh jessica! i miss you!

  • It's always dangerous to cover a musical "classic" in any genre. If it's not done PERFECTLY, down to the last cymbal hit or guitar note, it will fail. Also, covering '60s genre is challenging at best as there were so many social issues (Vietnam, social equality, etc.) that were inspiring the music. If a cover group can't capture that feel, it's over. Has nothing to do with the talent of the group covering the song.

  • Great sounds without a doubt but I agree and feel the same way about this song as I did when I watched the cover of Jackson 5 last night. You're going too far from your cover. You need that one part of the song to remain through you....the part that made it a hit in the first place. If you're going to take it this far in your interpretation you may as well just write your own music.

  • "Sing off" is for cheese lovers. You are the first group from that show I bought the single for, and thank god I did, bc I discovered you are the best A Cappella I've heard in a looooong time.

  • My opinion of Ben Folds went way down after all the negative things he said about you guys, you guys are pushing the boundaries of music and it is totally awesome, I hope you guys keep singing because I will definitely keep listening.

  • Sorry. You guys got robbed! Was totally rooting for you guys to go all the way!

  • This song gave me chills on the show and it still does with the pedals. It's just a beautiful and ethereal arrangement!!

  • TBH, I actually like it a lot better without the pedals.

  • I want to fall in love with her

  • BEATIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL.BEAUTIFUL

  • Their bassist's voice is vibrating my chair! No lie!

  • @AllStevePwrfl Bases rule the world :)

  • that was so amazing, as always. been a sonos fan since day one. go MCHS students!

  • I hope you can get this on ITunes soon.

  • Omg you guys are awesome <333

Can you get this version up on Itunes? The one from Sing Off is different!

P.S. Do you offer singing lessons? =)

  • You guys are great with and without the pedals

  • Unfortunately they didnt sound like this on the show. I predict three weeks in they will be out of the game. I did not enjoy them on the show, but I really like this video.

  • @joshman929 So? That kind of stuff is done all the time in studio recordings, and sometimes even on the sound board in live performances. The effects don't change the fact that every note produced is coming from their voices (save the octave pedal, but even that will be the same note 1vb from whatever the singer is doing, sharp or flat). There is no pitch correction going on. It's a cappella, just a new style in a cappella.

  • Comment removed

  • @spoon4peace its not they didnt let them...its just that using pedals makes it.....un-acapella if thats how u say it....using pedals is like using an actual instrument, which breaks the definition of acapella

  • @joshman929 Is playing an electric guitar with pedals not really playing guitar? No. The pedals do not affect their pitch. There was some debate in the a cappella community early on about whether or not Sonos should be defined as an a cappella group, but the vast consensus has been that Sonos is still doing everything a cappella, and the pedals do not change the fact that they're still only using voices. I think the pedals were rejected from the show because it's a technical nightmare.

  • So much cooler with the pedals... I wish you could use them on the sing-off, of course, then there wouldn't be much competition. :p

  • beautiful! great job!

  • I think that even without the use of your pedals, this arrangement proves that you all are more talented than everyone else on The Sing-Off.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your sound. No matter what result you get at Sing Off, you have your own cool style. You are already a winner!

  • @Notyalc81 um...I've heard them live, they are easily just as talented with only their voices and no pedals. Think of it like this - they are like Hendrix or Santana on an acoustic guitar, they still kill it no matter what. But it's not their signature sound. Please watch some of their other videos specifically Goldmine and White Winter Hymnal and get back to me..

  • @keithsomertrip I love White Winter Hymnal! Its what got me interested in them in the first place. Also, I agree, with or without the pedals, SONOS ROCK! <3 :)

  • @Notyalc81 Pedals aren't gonna sound good if the group doesn't sound good. The only critique the judges had was the lack of a baritone, which doesn't make them bad singers...they just need a baritone. And in my opinion they don't even need a baritone. Easily one of the most talented groups I've seen in the competition. The arrangement is on the level of Committed, I hope you guys go far in the competition. You're awesome.

  • @crosscountrytc I agree, bro this song sounded almost just as good without the pedals! I wished they had remained on. I think the Deltones should have been traded...

  • @WyldCharger At least Deltones got the boot tonight. Still doesn't make me feel fully better.

  • @crosscountrytc I hear ya. I hate to root for anyone to get the boot, but I think these guys deserved another chance. It was awesome that Pentatonix did a tribute to them. I LOVED their version of Viva La Vida. Their sound is awesome...

  • this is awesome. Thought these guys were already good on the sing off, but they are even more better with the effects.

  • Dude! Way awesome sound! Too bad they wouldn't let you use your pedals at the Sing Off!

  • this is an incredible recording and arrangement. Keep up the great work. Love to see more of this.

  • Awesome work as usual guys. Your last CD is in my cd player in my car! ;)

  • haha my headphones jack was not plugged in all the way... and I got no jessica... I was like.. huh that's a peculiar arrangement decision. but then I saw it and Jessica sounds AWESOME!!! nice job sonos.

  • These guys are unreal. Watch this video 500 more times, then go see them live.

  • your vocal percussionist sounds like a cartoon squirrel at the beginning

  • this is literally my favorite band. i beat all of you fucking noobs and i don't feel salty about it all.

  • brilliant. they should win.

  • This is amazing! I have honestly played this video about 50 times since i saw them sing this on the sing off!

  • this is so fucking sick nasty, i have no words for it

  • @ssskinner oh that's a compliment btw

  • MY FAVORITE SONG EVER!!!!!!

  • The new groove at 2:57 made me jump out of my chair! Awesome!

  • Love. Love. Love. Too bad the NBC version is without pedals and shortened. This rocks!!!
