alex, it's hard to suggest the best album, because they all have great moments on them. my personal favorites are hall of the mountain king, gutter ballet, edge of thorns, sirens, and dead winter dead. but pretty much any tage album you get is gonna have songs on it that you will like. ps- they all sound better REALLY LOUD!!

Best = Hall of the Mountain King (no doubt).

Other greats include, Poets and Madmen, and Fight for the Rock. All of the albums are unique and you can't expect the same thing on each album. I own all there albums, and they all have good stuff on them. They are the most underrated band ever I think... Savatage is fucking awesome!!!

Poets and Madmen was such an amazing album, I couldn't imagine how many times I would have listened to it. I still get the same reactions listening to it now all these years later. A true epic masterpiece. Will we ever see another Savatage record? Sure we have JOP, Global Warning was excellent, TSO of course are great and Caffery had the brilliant Faces, but we also need another Tage record. Wishful thinking I know, but maybe one day, just one day.
