I would like to ask Kael what her Big Picture is about the whole situation in Iraq; she certainly had an intimate and close relation with their people, and was able to gain access to the REAL situation there, so she could provide us with insight as to what is the real story behind this whole horrible situation.
I cannot imagine that these pictures were made without a purpose or a statement behind them, and that that statement must answer or at least propose what her thesis about Iraq is...
Mark, thank you for highlighting Kael Alford's necessary pre-production before picking up the gear: reading, research, footwork, education and the communication with the locals!
this was interesting educational and really gave me insight on a genre of photography i had never though about getting in to. And i am inspired and touched.
Those pictures and the stories that go with them are so powerful I could listen to them all day. Really awesome job with the interview, thanks so much to Mark and Kael.
What a great interview, talking about such impressive stories yet remaining so humble and grounded, and always putting the focus on the stories instead of on herself or her accomplishments.
Great

The first picture shown is very powerful, however she did a horrible job dodging the right side of the image and that really takes away from it.

intersting - I know the photographers name ''Kael Alford' - but what about the people in the photographs? who are they/ their identities ?
Kael Alford has become known, had exhibitions, books published - but what has Kael Alford done for the people she has taken photographs of?
thanks for the Video

@BladeRunn That's a great question. I recommend you buy her book Unembedded for the answers.

Oh my! I hope she can get over switching to Canon; what a misfortune, poor woman.
