  • Ha, Ha, Ha you Labor goons cheering the biggest enemy of the Australian Worker because he and Hawk lowered tarrifs productive Industries moved off-shore. Resulting in the decimation of Labor's support by Blue Collar Woorkers. Now Labor can only win Government with Greens in Government- LABOR in the Dust bin of history- thankyou rusted on saps for voting Hawk and Keating for 13 years .

  • @laborlosers dude, do you post the same comment on every paul keating video?

  • @laborlosers oh hai malcolm fraser.

  • Keating said some things which are definitely true about US policy post-cold war. Esp unnessarily alienating Russia. The big hole in Keating's analysis though are the new challenges post-cold war. International terrorism, Al Quaeda, the ever more crucial need for a Israel-Palestine solution and the slow creeping in of international anarchy as US and western relative power decreases. He needs a refresher course. Not everything can be solved with APEC. I wonder who is advising Gillard?

  • "Howard's in the winner take all business"

Best line ever, what a gem!

  • cambodian peace accords??

  • didn't he do a top job of ending hawke's career - his old mate is now his best enemy living with a hatred that will never die

  • better than being a pussy like costello. hawke had his run - keating was the real brains behind the operation anyway. keating also had the support of labor.

  • Your name in English means kissing a sad bald parrot.

  • What a superb speech by Keating. The ALP obviously understands Asia better than the Liberals...

  • PK - When he was PM I had little interest in politics. I took him for granted. Howard was the wake-up call saying we had just lost the best PM in living memory. Maybe Keating can still help ,especially in the SE Asia/Australia region politics? I'd like to hope so.

  • Ah, PJK,

I remember watching this on tv a year ago, and thinking he was living in the past - still has his old eighties mindset about Russia . . . yet here we are a year later and the Russians are at it again. The old duffer - he was right!

Still, that business about China invading Japan is probably a bit off-course . . . !!!

  • That's not exactly what he said though. The United States has been trying for quite some time now to replace the regional powers in Europe and Asia respectively, and has been doing so by attempting to isolate them one at a time, directly or through their allies. With China, they're attacking through rhetoric N.Korea, Sudan, and on Tibet. Then you have Russia, which is being isolated through NATO.

If Japan builds it's military that's a threat to China. If Germany does its a threat to Russia.

  • lighting the odd candle....get over yourself paul

  • Oh bugger off you mongoloid.

  • the love that he has is so great and all consuming so powerful and wonderful that it will never die - the love for himself that is!
