This is great - but man, I wish that blobbling synth that comes in every now and again was in tune. The droning one that's in the background throughout - that's lovely, and a really great touch. But the one that pokes out of the mix every now and again - gah. Wtf. It's horribly flat. Nearly wrecks the mood imo.
This song is so relaxing and laid back, and, being the first song by this band i've heard, i think i'll listen to alot more. I'm glad someone suggested them to me.
Quite frankly, my favorite band ever. Slint was good, but For Carnation was definitely a better vehicle for McMahan to express himself through. Now if only they'd do a full-on reunion... I was too young to know of or appreciate this band when they were around the first time.
Can someone explain me why are The For Carnation so popular in Italy?

@doncaballero69 because slint are pretty much appriciated here

@doncaballero69
My guess is that it's mainly because they've been often praised by many important italian music-reviewing sites such as ondarock.it and others.
Anyways, amazing song, thanks for uploading.

Since the first time I heard "moonbeams", two words have gone through my head. Those words are "hauntingly beautiful".

@caulderock Ditto! I can't do anything while listening to this song. For 9½ minutes everything revolves around this track.
