  • Can someone explain me why are The For Carnation so popular in Italy?

  • @doncaballero69 because slint are pretty much appriciated here

  • @doncaballero69

My guess is that it's mainly because they've been often praised by many important italian music-reviewing sites such as ondarock.it and others.

Anyways, amazing song, thanks for uploading.

  • @doncaballero69 Italy has a good taste in music.

  • This is great - but man, I wish that blobbling synth that comes in every now and again was in tune. The droning one that's in the background throughout - that's lovely, and a really great touch. But the one that pokes out of the mix every now and again - gah. Wtf. It's horribly flat. Nearly wrecks the mood imo.

  • God I love this song... Just wonderful

  • Holy shit, I found my new favourite band.

  • Since the first time I heard "moonbeams", two words have gone through my head. Those words are "hauntingly beautiful".

  • I get such a sense of location from this song. Seriously so damn incredible.

  • s a r e d r e n w e l l s

  • One of the few highlights for me in 2000. A perfect encapsulation.

  • Love every warp and wobble of this.

  • uno de los grupos mas relajantes que he escuchado...muy bueno

  • This song is so relaxing and laid back, and, being the first song by this band i've heard, i think i'll listen to alot more. I'm glad someone suggested them to me.

  • YES, yes, yesss!!! Found it! Great! Thank you!

  • cuts it close to the youtube hatchet though

  • i love this album

  • one of the best albums!

  • this album changed my life...especially this song...unbelievable sense of progression and melody

  • +1000

  • @caulderock Ditto! I can't do anything while listening to this song. For 9½ minutes everything revolves around this track.

  • Amazing song.

  • no words to describe this piece of heaven....

  • arte della lentezza

  • I could cry with this song.. just LOVE the for carnation

  • a ballad to slowly dance with the sadness.

    sweetly.

    softly.

  • Yay!!!! Criminally underrated album.

  • this is my favorite record on earth

  • Quite frankly, my favorite band ever. Slint was good, but For Carnation was definitely a better vehicle for McMahan to express himself through. Now if only they'd do a full-on reunion... I was too young to know of or appreciate this band when they were around the first time.

  • great great great.

    brilliant.

    ...

  • immensi!!!!!!!
