i may be wrong but i thought that first under the wire tour was in 1979, cuz i saw them in jacksonville fla that year, i noticed wayne nelson on bass and the yr is 81 i think this is time exposure tour , just thinkin i do that to much haha
Saw them on this tour. Excellent show. Was on the First Under the Wire tour I believe.... These guys knew how to entertain a crowd and you can see that it was a fun time for all just by looking at the people having a blast in the video. I always hoped that The Little River Band would never go away.. Yeah they're still here today under the name........But this was the real Little River Band..... Good Times !
Geez, 30 years! I still remember watching this on PBS with my then girlfriend Angie. I got to see them later that year. They closed with this song and brought down the house
Great part is this was an era where before you could make bad vocals sound good with technology. It took raw talent vocally & as musicians to pull this off.
@SuperScotty4 It was released as a single from their live album. I forget the year but remember hearing this song on the radio. I do wonder why it wasn't as big of a hit as some of their others. These guys could rock. It's one of the few songs that show that. Still I LOVED songs like Cool Change & others too.
@Cheetahsmonk Just saw your comment-there is a real good studio version of this
on the album"First Under the Wire"I used to play this song when i got home from work Friday nite and had a terrible Week.Real Theraputic!Contact me on my Channel if you need any other info
Great post. Thanks. I still wish they never got Wayne Nelson. Graham basically let Wayne take the name of the band & the songs. WIthout Beeb Birtles, Glenn Shorrock or Graham Goble, the Wayne Nelson LRB cover band fraud touring today is not LRB imo. This is LRB.
I wrote to WTTW-TV when they revived SS requesting they'd rerun these older shows but couldn't due to rights issues.
Too bad and I think the SS revival is gone.

There is no doubt this should have been a hit. Record company blew it by not releasing it as a hit. What were they thinking?
