  • I totally would punish the guy with the square shield for leaving his shoulder open all the time. Nice vid though guys! shout out from Houston Texas, Kingdom of the Wetlands

  • I'm glad there's people like you that do this stuff. It makes us regular guys actually have a better chance in being successful.

  • Me and my friend made a bunch of weapons this weekend. Can't wait to get them approved.

  • Amtgard is the worst larp around. If your going to larp play ANY other group. ANYTHING but amtgard.

  • I'm sorry for the very random question, but where did the guy at 5:22 buy his Jacket I guess it's called? I'm not sure if it's a tunic or duster.

I really like the look of it

  • very nice, good information, well shot and hopefully will be a good draw to some people who might stumble upon this video

  • is there a way i could get a copy of this for demo purposes? my group in ck has demos planned, and some of these vids would be great for the indoor demos we have planned. i am interested in getting vids from as many amt-locations as possible.

  • do you think you can maybe post a quik vid showijng how to make one like you guy's i mean i know the basiks and safety regulations but just a quick thing. I would appriciate it. Thank you.

  • We also have a BIG group of people here in Tahlequah OKlahoma. i started 3 weeks ago. i love it. theres also three other groups here in oklahoma. i think 2 are in different parts of tulsa nd not sure where the other is

  • @ForeverThaSikkest

    For Tulsa..

One at Haikey Creek. That's Five Banners, I think. And one at McClure. It's called Red Storm? There's another LARP group at Whiteside if I remember called MELEE, and finally there should be one or two that go to La Fortune occasionally.

Then yeah, there are the other towns. Tahlequah, Muskogee, etc. Most of them belong to Emerald Hills, but there are a few Freeholds and a Dagohir in Oklahoma City.

  • is there any in bc

  • I'm in the State of Washington and I had no clue how big amtgard is, it's awesome!

  • your name? ........Dave

  • fwi

    I am from

    The Rising Winds

    Satyr's Crossing

  • Any you guys going to be at discord??

  • Wow. Cant believe I havent seen this one before. Its good stuff. Hope we can get another part of this sometime soon... though its been a wee bit over two years now so its prolly unlikely.

  • We do things that we find that are fun and we don't care what people think. This is a game. This is a sport. It's physical activity and it's MUCH better than sitting on your fat ass playing WOW and speaking l33t speak about how you own face in a video game. Yeah, in a video game you may have pseudo skill to play the game. In Amtgard, you have to have actual skill to fight.

  • Verzen, I 100% agree. Running through woods and fighting in real castles (we are lucky to have enough of them in our area in Germany) and sweating for a weekend is good, clean fun. Physical activity (the fights) and something for the brain (the riddles in the plot etc, LARP is more than just fighting, there is a story in our LARPs where you need cleverness as well as fighting skills). BTW the worst thing is not WOW players, it is WOW players who start with LARP...

  • ha. so what do you say to people who arent fatasses and dont sit around and play video games? or how about people who have been or get in REAL fights? i cant say ive won any fights with a plastic sword.

but i guess i can say it is better than doing meth and then fantasizing weird shit. but just a warning. if one of you nerdos attacks with a fake sword ill punch you. haha

  • ?...

  • This game started in El Paso TX in 1981. I think this game as been around since before WoW. Good job...

Amtgard is a Non-Profit Internation Group of Medieval and Fantasy Reinactment. The main purpose of the game is to have fun.

You should try it before you make fun of it.

  • PAUL!

  • yay amtgard! i know a lot of these people and i'm related to one of them, even (maria!) ... these are some of the awesomest people in the whole wide universe. i wish i could get out and play with them more than a couple times a year.

  • wow. that's an amazing comment there. did it take you all day to come up with that one?

  • no it just came off the top of my head

  • FACT: Random attempts at belitting others won't make your cock larger.

  • make part 2!!!

  • LOL 2:40 ish whats ur character name "er....dave?" lol

  • i love you boys. i recognize that road paul is on! hes on his way to sudbury!

  • What's with the hoppy hoppy attacks? Come on! Use something that doesn't look so...flimsy!

  • ze shield int he first few moments was illegal

  • how hard is it to get into this, and how much does it cost for the garb or whichever it is, and the cost of weapons

  • you find people who play near you (the internet is handy), and out when their field when their field is, and show up. ^_^

as for weapons and garb, you pretty much make your own or buy the materials and make someone like you enough to make it for you or at the very least teach you how to do it yourself.

  • I can't wait till South park trashes this silly nonsense...

  • Interesting but I like fights that have a little more of the 'ouch factor' to them, like SCA Heavy combat...come to Pennsic Wars and see a really BIG battle..upwards of 1000 fighters....

  • It's funny, I started doing this 10 years ago and its gone downhill so much. The level of fitness needed is nowhere near what it was back when weapons actually had some manner of heft to them instead of the graphite sissy sticks x.x

  • Embrace the future. Sticks will get lighter, politicians will philander, you too will get old.

  • I want to join, but I don't know if there is a group in my area, or if I can even join at age 13.

  • LOL! "We learned were aloud to hit in the groin"

    he's funny.

  • Looks like alot of fun. :)

  • We learned we're aloud to hit in the groin.

  • Very nice vid, especially portraing the hit locations and whatnot. I'm over in California, Barony of the Crimson Wood FTW!

  • whoo!! that was an interesting video!

    but hay, good job ^^

Slain Kinra Valkin -Man at arms to Lord Squire Ragnar Gunderolaferikson-

  • Nice job on the vid... but the fighting showcased.... a little sub par in my opinion. Then again coming from the PNW(BS) the land of many stick jocks and 24hr roleplays were more than half the people spen their time ditching and ignoring the flurbs, I suppose my standard of fighting might be a little jaded, though Ive seen little of the fu from anywere further than IM so.. feel free to enlighten me. But whatever it takes to enjoy the game, keep on doin it, cheers!

  • Well, at the time this video was shot most of us had only really just begun getting interested in ditching in its own right. It's been almost a year since then, and I can tell ya there have been definite improvements in Toronto stick fu ;)

Honestly, if you can make it out this summer to Battle of the Dens in Wolvenfang (GV) then please do. It's always a great campout, and you'll be able to see the best we've got to offer. Lates!

  • Good job Tyler, can't wait to see you again.

  • do you have a version that is exclusively toronto?

  • No sorry I don't. Maybe it could be arranged.

  • Some of the American events should be shown, like Pac War, Gathering of The Clans, or Banner Wars.

  • Actually much of the video was shot at an event in Rochester. I definitely would have issues getting down there.

  • @Dowken Dont for get THE FURY

  • Where can I find the rest of this Documentary?

  • Depends. Parts have yet to be shot, and alot of editing is still required. Actually if there is anything you would like to see in the completed doc, just send some ideas. Cheers.

  • @lamplightpictures are you traveling parks and covering events?
