  • thanks. I learned this from an old 78 rpm in the 70's. Therefore I tend to play it at 78 rpm's.

  • This song was written by Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh in 1935. It was introduced by Frances Langford in the movie "Every Night At Eight."

    And yes, I remember seeing this, it was featured in the original Little Rascals, Our Gang short titled "The Pinch Singer. The song was sung by Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer and is said to be known as "his signature song." It was delightful.
