It's a know fact that adding an X or H pipe crossover will increase power and decrease noise. An exhaust system is a "true dual system" either with or without a crossover, as long as there are no single piped areas carrying all the exhaust flow.
@jpenn1192 - actually..you re wrong...it is in fact still considered dual exhaust..the reason fr the X-pipe is to "tune" the pulses between the pipes. Its an effect they have proven to help the backpressure loss off just using two completely seperate tubes. More or less...by having the X-pipe...it equals things

It is not true dual if it has an X pipe

Trying to get an exhaust sound sample while on a dyne was a bad idea. Better to just rev it than trying to hear it over the noise the rollers make.

its still considered dual exhaust with an H or X pipe!
and puttin either one in will make your exhaust not as loud!
i talked to a guy who does exhaust and says you dont need one!
im putting true duals on my tundra! no x or h pipe!
vids to come!

thats not true duals,if you have a h-pipe or x-pipe you dont have true duals

@jpenn1192 the larger issue is that the exhaust from each bank is not equal length.
