Could anyone explain to me how this game is different from WoW apart from better graphics? I'm not trying to flame the game or so, I'm just interested- As people here say "WoW sucks" etc (Yes, WoW does suck) but what makes WAR better?
@ADDodger ok i'll explain very simply. basicly mate, warhammer is mainly focused on PvP and RvR content as WoW is on PvE. if you like fighting real people having real skill and testing your metal with PvP... then warhammer is for you. a new patch has been released just a few days ago and has brought back alot of people. come join the fight. badlands server is live and kick'n. make a trial and ill see yah in-game ^^
When i watched this i thought "wtf is this?" but i continued to watch and when i saw him spinning on the floor i started busting out laughing my fucking ass off xD

Now there is no doubt WoW is a great game it has 12 million players, but like some of you have said before Blizzard have just focused on how to generate money. The game was ruined when you could switch factions, it caused a massive imbalance on all the servers causing all the horde players to wait 20mins for BG and alliance 1 minute. The game is good, but it is what you prefer, WAR offers balance which is why i like it. :)
If you genuinley think this game is worse than WoW i pity you. This is a player whos played it since the start. Undoubtfully wow is a great game, sadly it's been destroyed due to casual player increase and Blizzard wanting more money out of the franchise. I've been Gladiator in pvp arena that game several times and it's just all revolved around setup, you can't play anything that isn't FOTM because it won't work as well and the PVE is a joke. But if your a PvPer and are look for mass 20 on 20 battles then this is the game for you. So you make a group or PvP friends real fast so getting a group for PvP is easy/

Wow is not the same and Cate will most likely to make it worse in fact a lot of people are quitting because of it. So go with War its a better wow plus war in the future will be even more amazing. Ps. when they added the Choppa and Slayer i bet blizzard would have charged 50 dollars for it and call it an expansion.
ctar i agree with you on everything besides them being similar. Warcraft was actually based off warhammer as warhammer has been around for 25 years as an established game (before blizzard was around). Look at the starcraft credits. It says "Thanks to Games Workshop for not sueing us"

WAR got a forever free trial up and running (it doesn't end :D) allthough you're stuck in tier 1 (lvl 1 - 10) ´but i think it's the best trial for a mmo out there :D
Im worried about wow, its not the game that it use to be, its ALLOT more easy. Its truely ruining the game for me. I would switch to warhammer right now but I would really miss arenas. Anyone have advice?
My oly advice to you my friend its this, WAR its one amazing game had bad start a very buggy game, however now they have fix alot , alot of things make alot of difference, now the only downfall its that no one really plays WAR anymore, they are down to 5 server and all servers are running from low-med pop, now as far as WoW goes quit that shit dude, WoW it's garbage ,i preffer not to play anything then play WoW.
my only advice is to stick with WoW until Cataclysm, i assume WoW will be a whole different game right when cata somes out, so all im saying is wait it out, get the expansion, if you dont think its your material anymore, just switch...
to tell you the truth, Cataclysm is probly gunna ruin it for some, yet make it funner for people, especially now that you can fly in azeroth...

Soulja Boy sells more records than alot of other artists. Does that make him better? NO. Your reasoning is terrible. Early WoW was the most amazing experience, but the classes have become SO unbalanced that the game is ruined. With that said, I never enjoyed WAR.

There seems to be a bit of confusion on both sides. WoW has been a "pioneer" in MMO's, simply because of it's interface. Maybe Warcraft did get things from WAR, but both got inspiration from things like LOTR lore and other. (orcs have been first introduced by Tolkien) WoW has come a long way. It used to be for hardcore gamers, where PvP was hard, questing challenging, getting epics meant running Onyxia 100 times, and mount at level 40 was something to be proud of .
Then kids started crying that it was too hard to do things, so they eased off a bit, leveling is a piece of cake, epics mean 1 week of dailies, and Prot Pallies boil everyone's blood. But now we got epicness that is Northrend, with it's Tolkien-inspired Mordor-Icecrown, majestic Storm Peaks, and magical Dalaran that makes people squeal. Really. It became more of an eye candy rather than challenging end game MMO.
WAR has RVR, and PVP right from the start. That's a great way to get into game without the hassle of "useless" questing. But did anyone ever stop to think that if you pay 15 dollars a month it's worth maybe going on an adventure? Questing gives you a story, a challenge. You get to know your class step by step. I remember WAR questing to be a little slow and quite boring, though I loved the concept of public quests.
I don't favor any side, as you may think I do. But you think that WoW is a fad. Truth is, hating WoW is a fad. You become someone else when you tell people you hate WoW cause it's boring and stupid. But Warcraft will live on, as long as Blizzard gets more money then all Jewsish-owned banks in the world, they will release new content. Surely, in a couple of years, there will be nothing but prot pallies played by 13-year-olds. That's when you can say that WoW sucks. WAR, though, has a life ahead.
An an average quester on WoW does about 1k+ quests to 80. And how many got a story? Not many ... I've done 1-60 on every class, and 1-80 twice on WoW. Only about 23 of thooe quest had a story, and WoW is ruining the warcraft story. Also, not many knows about the lore, a few does - but.
And there is only a few quests which gives a challenge.... kill x of x mobs is not a big challenge ...
Yes, but I mean those group quests that USED to be hard in classic WoW. Group quests in WOTLK are a joke, and in classic zones, group quests were hard enough to find a group, until they changed most of the elites to normal mobs. There are still some quest chains that give you a story, especially in WOTLK. It was very lore driven, and you can learn a lot about lore from WOTLK.
Somewhat, yes. But .. WOTLk is where most people say Wow becomes "fun". Which I dislike. I mean.. How many People do you think have been everywhere in Azeroth?
Also, By knowing the lore, WOTLK became a lot more fun. For instance, Dragonblight ( wrong name?) is my favourite zone, due to my love for the Dragons. Atleast seing that green one, the sleeper. As she is watching over The Emerald Dream, which is said to be infested with the Nightmare.. hell, amazing lore!
Yeah, WoW is becoming more of an eye candy, story driven, easy MMO, instead of challenging end game, as I mentioned, but it's all to get more mainstream people. And damn right Dragonblight is the best zone!
I played WoW for a few years, I was full epic level 70 during BC, and I am full epic in WotLK. But at this point I am no WoW fan anymore.
Warhammer online is superior in almost every aspect. The PvP is actually balanced!!! HOLY SHIT, no rogue one shots, no OP pallies and DKs, and no fourth graders playing.
My shaman is currently level 9, and I love just being able to go into a scenario and not wanting to throw my computer through the wall.
Trust me, NO WoW fanboys believes that. They believe: WoW is a Milestone in Gaming. WoW is allmighty. WoW is the best MMO. WoW is extremely hard, and they got skills for playing it. I played WoW for about 3 years and then i got sick of blizzard not listening to there customers and ruining the game so i tried Warhammer, i find it a much better game tbh cause it includes alot more things to do and PvP is ecouraged throughout aswell, i find that warhammer is alot more balanced than WoW the only class worth playing in WoW is a Paladin, all other classes are pointless...

a rvr scenario is instanced. it is a placed separated from the world which is only for rvr. kinda like a huge arena or battleground. Open world rvr is where the whole world is a batlleground, so you can attack anyone (from the opposite faction) anywhere anytime

There seems to be a bit of confusion on both sides. WoW has been a "pioneer" in MMO's, simply because of it's interface. Maybe Warcraft did get things from WAR, but both got inspiration from things like LOTR lore and other. (orcs have been first introduced by Tolkien) WoW has come a long way. It used to be for hardcore gamers, where PvP was hard, questing challenging, getting epics meant running Onyxia 100 times, and mount at level 40 was something to be proud of .

Then kids started crying that it was too hard to do things, so they eased off a bit, leveling is a piece of cake, epics mean 1 week of dailies, and Prot Pallies boil everyone's blood. But now we got epicness that is Northrend, with it's Tolkien-inspired Mordor-Icecrown, majestic Storm Peaks, and magical Dalaran that makes people squeal. Really. It became more of an eye candy rather than challenging end game MMO.

WAR has RVR, and PVP right from the start. That's a great way to get into game without the hassle of "useless" questing. But did anyone ever stop to think that if you pay 15 dollars a month it's worth maybe going on an adventure? Questing gives you a story, a challenge. You get to know your class step by step. I remember WAR questing to be a little slow and quite boring, though I loved the concept of public quests.

I don't favor any side, as you may think I do. But you think that WoW is a fad. Truth is, hating WoW is a fad. You become someone else when you tell people you hate WoW cause it's boring and stupid. But Warcraft will live on, as long as Blizzard gets more money then all Jewsish-owned banks in the world, they will release new content. Surely, in a couple of years, there will be nothing but prot pallies played by 13-year-olds. That's when you can say that WoW sucks. WAR, though, has a life ahead.

Somewhat wrong.
An an average quester on WoW does about 1k+ quests to 80. And how many got a story? Not many ... I've done 1-60 on every class, and 1-80 twice on WoW. Only about 23 of thooe quest had a story, and WoW is ruining the warcraft story. Also, not many knows about the lore, a few does - but.
And there is only a few quests which gives a challenge.... kill x of x mobs is not a big challenge ...

Yes, but I mean those group quests that USED to be hard in classic WoW. Group quests in WOTLK are a joke, and in classic zones, group quests were hard enough to find a group, until they changed most of the elites to normal mobs. There are still some quest chains that give you a story, especially in WOTLK. It was very lore driven, and you can learn a lot about lore from WOTLK.

Somewhat, yes. But .. WOTLk is where most people say Wow becomes "fun". Which I dislike. I mean.. How many People do you think have been everywhere in Azeroth?
Also, By knowing the lore, WOTLK became a lot more fun. For instance, Dragonblight ( wrong name?) is my favourite zone, due to my love for the Dragons. Atleast seing that green one, the sleeper. As she is watching over The Emerald Dream, which is said to be infested with the Nightmare.. hell, amazing lore!

I played WoW for a few years, I was full epic level 70 during BC, and I am full epic in WotLK. But at this point I am no WoW fan anymore.
Warhammer online is superior in almost every aspect. The PvP is actually balanced!!! HOLY SHIT, no rogue one shots, no OP pallies and DKs, and no fourth graders playing.
My shaman is currently level 9, and I love just being able to go into a scenario and not wanting to throw my computer through the wall.
End of WoW is here, and so are Glory days of WAR.

I played WoW for about 3 years and then i got sick of blizzard not listening to there customers and ruining the game so i tried Warhammer, i find it a much better game tbh cause it includes alot more things to do and PvP is ecouraged throughout aswell, i find that warhammer is alot more balanced than WoW the only class worth playing in WoW is a Paladin, all other classes are pointless...

you may want wow to be about the pvp but it isn't. 2 super expensive expansions gave wow only 2 new bgs. and the arena system is more about your comp then your skill above 1800. wow, these graphics are so amazing, they destroy WoW's. Look at the spell animation; so sexy to see a green lightning bolt.
To be honest, I have no idea what's going on with this "shaman", looks like he has no competition. Must be fun attacking someone that's not attacking you when you play WAR. When I play WoW, I love 1v1, takes infinite amounts of more skill than what I'm seeing here--OHT, look at that at 4:00 the "Shaman" get's 1 hit by what looks to be a warrior. Gratz on failing.

a rvr scenario is instanced. it is a placed separated from the world which is only for rvr. kinda like a huge arena or battleground. Open world rvr is where the whole world is a batlleground, so you can attack anyone (from the opposite faction) anywhere anytime
