The "necessary ingredients" or energy from the Big Bang most likely always existed in some form or another. It didn't necessarily come from "nothing" but they didn't come from anything either.
Because energy can't be created or destroyed, but only change form, then it's safe to say that all the energy in the universe has always existed in some form. It's a simpler answer and doesn't contradict the law of conservation of energy. No god necessary
I'm not going to assert my answer as THE answer, but right now it's the most likely answer. We still don't know the exact process, since the singularity of the big bang still holds many mysteries that scientists are still working on.

We don't know exactly what will happen then, there's theories that the universe will contract back into the singularity and make another Big Bang into a new universe, thus starting time & energy again.
All we know is that energy isn't created or destroyed.
There are still many things that humans might NEVER fully comprehend, since we're only in a tiny spec of this vast mysterious universe. But I personally think that science can explain almost everything, if given enough time :)
Our minds are pattern-seeking, so naturally we think that complex things are built like houses, and all things are born new and rot away. But science has shown us that this isn't always the case.

Therefore, you cannot know with confidence things that occurred in the past without eyewitnesses and there accounts which then evidence can confirm. They can reconstruct whatever they want from these bones, and they have. APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even inheriting a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. The "necessary ingredients" or energy from the Big Bang most likely always existed in some form or another. It didn't necessarily come from "nothing" but they didn't come from anything either.
Because energy can't be created or destroyed, but only change form, then it's safe to say that all the energy in the universe has always existed in some form. It's a simpler answer and doesn't contradict the law of conservation of energy. No god necessary

But when we think of "before big bang" it implies that there is time acting it. We can agree that at least in this universe, time started and time will more than likely end. We don't know exactly what will happen then, there's theories that the universe will contract back into the singularity and make another Big Bang into a new universe, thus starting time & energy again.

@GaryLyons No. A frog is a frog just like your great-great-great aunt is still your great-great-great aunt. Frogs and humans share a common ancestor, however, way-way-way-way back in time. Evolution is the driving force of modern biology. You can thank evolution for advances in modern medicine, too. Trust me, prayer has no place in the development of treatments for disease. And, do tell what it is about DNA that makes it impossible for one species to spawn another.
