The whole point of acting is to pretend you're someone else. she may HAVE been born edgy, but wanted to become an actress so she got into the first movie she could. And no it's doubt that she was cute. If you have the right LOOK and can pull off the character, you can get the roll. and she did. but that doesn't mean anything about her.

Her music is way more authentic and rock n roll than I was expecting which I think gives her a lot of credit to the fact she's just expressing herself and some people are naturally what you'd call "edgy" while others fit a more "pop" mold.
