This organ was saved. The Christian Science church building at Nutford Place was taken over by the Sylvia Young Theatre School, to expand their training facilities. They had no use for the organ.. Accordingly, they allowed the church to donate the organ, at no cost, to St Michael's Church, Abertillery, where it was installed over the period 2009/2010.
Hmm, So this organ was melted down in January? LIkely because no one could ever tune it and sounded awful--shame-did anyone there hear of LIGHTS!!! SHEESH. That was awful. All this groping around "oh look at dat...ouch...here's a door, sorry 'bout the lights". It was not just a minor inconvenience it was disaster of a video--a great big tease. I wanted to see it. That "thing" we saw wasn't a chest it was a "reservoir" or "regulator" and it wasn't in good shape. It looked as if it'd been patched.

@Bblandford Hi! Brilliant! I had not heard of the rebuilding progress - when is the inaugural recital?

Was this truly scrapped? Terribly sad if it was.
