Neeen13....I so agree with u. Was 15 when i got the DS/Japan bug.....always knew, listening to tracks even from Albums like "Adolescent Sex" and "Obscure Alternatives" that Sylvian was gifted with music/lyrics/moods......I am 41 now and "Snow Borne Sorrow" , to me, is the pinnacle of my listening ability, if DS surpasses this, my ears shall surely bleed!!!
My sister and I have been listening to DS again after many years. We were Japan fans and always loved David. It is so cool to see what he has been up to since then, thanks to Moody B and You Tube! We've fallen for him all over again!
Just so you all know what studio you are looking at. The first half of the video is EDEN STUDIOS Studio 2. which WAS one of the best recording studios in the UK but was 1 year ago dismantled and sold in bits at an auction. A crime. I was responsible for taking apart the studios for people to buy the acoustic treatment. it is nice to know that the studios still live on at other locations all over the uk.
LOVED this vid, i too would commit murder to be in that room! got turned on to DS by my older brother when i was 17 and now at 40, still listen to the same music as i did then and all he's done since. Sooooo extraordinarily beautiful. Just gotta see him live before i die!
True genious. I only started following sylvians work earlier this year, when I was 16, and I'm completely hooked.
I don't think I could ever turn away from his music, I'm absolutely besotted with it.
I heard from reports on myspace that a lot of his dates this year were cancelled. I hope he's okay, and I hope I will get the chance to see him play, it would honestly be a dream come true.
Welcome to the club :-) I was 21 when I discovered Sylvian, and now 10 years later I'm still hooked. Seen him live twice in London, it was "dream come true" indeed.
...before I forget moodyb...much thanks for your wonderful posts. In my part of the planet especially, Sylvian's astonishing talent is soooooo misunderstood and undervalued. Thanks again.
Blade - saw him last night in Glasgow and the time just flew by! He played for approx 90 mins then 2 encores and was amazing. If you're still to see him I'm jealous!
I was at the Glasgow show, utterly mesmorising, I've posted some clips on here enjoy, great to see some behing the scenes stuff ,,, thanks for posting
Geeee....I wonder where you got your username LOL!? I love it. You are so very fortunate to have seen Sylvian, he hardly sets foot here in North America...we know why, it's not great secret. Europeans are just that amore cultured and open to non-mainstream esoteric music(for the most part)there are of course exceptions to everything.
Keith is a very nice guy indeed, I've had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times...He actually uses one of my photographs for his profile on MySpace...
@moodyb hi moodyb, you ever met Sylvian? It must have been an unforgettable experience meeting him. I ahave seen his live concert as Japan in Hong Kong in early 80's.

Excellent look at how the music is made. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't listen to that song.
