@doomtomb3 I know you asked this question ages ago, so by now you might know better than me, but it seems like MP has better support. Plugins and Scripts are a mess on XBMC, atleast finding them is really backwards.

This guys config in this video seems pretty sweet, I"m gonna dive into MP again and see if I can't make it work for me.

This looks an awful lot like XBMC. MP has its own PVR function but you are using beyond tv through what looks like the launcher plugin.

I tried using multishortcut to get hulu desktop to play. It didn't work cause ether hulu starts then media portal pops up on top of it in the way or hulu starts and media portal closes and does not start back up. How did you get it to work? Please help and thank you.

I think in MP config, under general, there's a setting the will minimized MP when using other application.....

Moving Picture has a function that allow you to play a video clip before every movie starts.

I have a total of 3 tuner, 2x Hauppauge HD-PVR, 1x 980.

I have a quite decent movie collection (included DVDs & Blurays).

Cool, hey but how do you copy all the dvd's and stuff including subtitles and menus?

the best and easiest way to do is to use AnyDVD to preserve the original quality and menu/subtitle.

what kind of system are you running? how much HD space to do you have..

I have a WHS server that has 5.5TB of space to store all the media file. Then I have a total of 3 HTPC clients through out the house for the playback duty.
