P.E.T.E. - Personal Embouchure Training Exerciser

I've been doing the recommended workouts for 2 months as part of my "comeback" routine after 11years not playing. This thing works, combined with daily practice.

These are ridiculously overpriced, and there is no real substitute for practise - in stead of doing a long tone exercise with this, why not..... I dunno, play some long tones? As playing a WIND instrument is as much about the air you put through the mouthpiece as it is what your lips are doing, and if you just use this to practise your diaphragm will go to pieces. If they were £10 maybe, I would buy one, but not 4 times that.

Hi Terry! It was really great seeing you at The Rocky Moiuntain Trumpet Festival. Have done similar excersises with a pencil just holding the tip between my lips and keeping pointing straight forward.

This little thing seems to have some more possibilities with the rim.
