To all those people who say animation today is crap, this is proof it need not be. This toon is letter perfect: the music soars and inspires, the perfect kinetics of the skating, the character interaction and dialog are exactly right, and bringing the gators and hippos back was as WishfulThinkingArt said, an act of genius.

The sequence of Daisy and the hipporinas from about 3:35 on is pure pleasure on ice.

I like Daisy more than Minnie (too "goody goody") but Daisy's in the wrong here.

@mxgirl918 Don't know if they were brought back for Fantasia 2000 but the originals were in Fantasia from 1940 in a segment called The Dance of the Hours (it's on YT) and was about hungry gators trying to dance with in order to eat the hippodonnas. Pretty funny and memorable.
