  • @scibblo yeah i guess so i like to have imagination too

  • @scibblo Haha, same here.

  • Magnificent.

Do not harbor ill will toward well-run, attentive zoos. Honestly, this is like free hotel booking and room service for life for this lion. He's got his own territory and never worries about his next meal. Anthropomorphism does neither him nor us any good service.

  • "LET ME OUT OF HERE!"..."IM COLD"...."I HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN AROUND"..."WHY ARE PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME!!?"

  • you people have no idea what you're talking about i work at brookfield zoo and if we didn't have such an amazing organization you would never see a lion let alone in real life and trust they are NOT being abused if anything they are vewry pampered and wouldn't have it any other way and if you want to see animal abuse go to china or any asian country of that matter and you'll then truly see animal abuse until don't talk unless you actually know what you're talking about

  • That lion being trapped is almost like animal cruelty.... they barely have any room to play and be active the way theyre supposed to be! LET THE ANIMALS FREE!

  • Tiger's roar ain't gots shit on this.

  • BTW I'm not religious just thought your argument wasn't very good :)

  • well in the same way god cannot be proven, he cannot be falsified either. Much of the facts we consider true today exist merely in our realm of understanding(our minds)but that doesn't directly influence their existence separate from us merely how we perceive them.trillions of planets exist in space but few have been seen or proven to exist, does this mean that the others don't exist simply because we haven't discovered them yet.Of course not things exist regardless of what u or i think

  • KEEPING A LION INNA ZOO IS SLAVERY!! PURE WICKEDNISS!! COMPLETELY AGAINST DI NATURAL WAY OF LIFE GOD INTENED FI DEM. FREE ALL DI LION DEM AND BURN DOWN EVERY ZOO!!

  • @19rasta87 sorry pal hate to break it to you but, god is a myth just a tale, until his existence is proven i will not be persuaded otherwise.

    Merely exists in minds

  • @19rasta87 It's sad, But if you if look at statistics Lion survival rate is horrible in the wild(Mainly b/c of humans ie Habitat Loss). Also I hope you don't have a house cat b/c you would be a hypocrite. Also his roar is not sign of uncomfort. All lions do this in the wild.He is telling every living creature that can hear him "this is my territory." I guarantee if lions could talk they rather be in a zoo then hunt for their own food and face real danger.Y do house pets go back home? shelter-food

  • @johnjb142 well first of all, this has nothing to do with house cats. yeah they go back home to their owners because thats the way they have been living for thousands of years. the egyptians used to domesticate cats. and second of all, if lions could talk, they would tell you that they would rather be in the wild, in their natural habitat, instead of being locked in some cage, on display for thousands of ignorant people to see them. also, it doesnt matter how much those zoo people love them...

  • @johnjb142 ...because to the lions, those zoo people are nothing more than food, if they could get their paws on them...also, sometimes, a lion's roar IS a sign of comfort....it doesnt always mean he is marking his territory. and this does have something to do with God. He put those animals into their natural habitat which is where they are suppose to remain. God didnt intend for us to take them and put them on display like some form of entertainment for you ignorant americans. this is SLAVERY

  • @19rasta87 As if America is the only place with zoos?

Also, the bible states: "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26) According to it, in basically every place that animals are mentioned, it states that they're for us to do with as we please.

Are you SUPPOSED to be assuming you know what god wants?

  • @19rasta87 Now, I don't happen to agree with the Bible on that. Some zoos are absolutely fine places, but we ought to strive for humanity in all things, and that includes when we capture things. Beyond that... other animals don't have the sense of freedom or oppression that humans do. They can be bored, unhappy or afraid, but they can't comprehend freedom in the way that we can. It's not slavery, no, because they're not built with a sense of self-ownership. They'd need a sense of SELF first.

  • @19rasta87 First of all, if you ever met someone that works at a zoo, you would realize they love animals more than you can imagine. Their life revolves around serving, helping and protecting animals. The wild Lion population number is very low. Due to habitat loss, resource deprivation, and POACHING.

You're a dumb shit! "Ignorant American". (How original) You're an ignorant foreigner that will mover here, to the U.S., in a year. Begging for Americans to help you. You are naive on wildlife. Bye

  • @19rasta87 ALSO. People that work at zoos love animals more than you could imagine. They treat them well too. There will always be bad apples that spoil the bunch, but so be it. You've watch to many of those shows were some crazy person had a lion in there backyard in a cage the size of a Car. Those people are the bad guys. Don't bring God in to this.

  • @19rasta87

What do you suggest we keep them in the wild where they will just get slaughtered ??? Zoo's are not the problem its the fact that the human race has no respect for anything. God, Life, Peace,Justice anything so just be content that we get to see them at all. What a beautiful and Majestic creature they are : )

  • @Fallzone2209 Couldn't agree more. Zoo's are actually a solution to the problem. A place where animals are not only kept safe, but people can observe them from a safe distance and hopefully learn more about the animals and grow to love them and have the desire to protect them from the other douchebags in the world.

  • @crazypizza Zoos a solution to the problem? what rubbish. These animals are evolved to live in a specific wild environment. How on earth is keeping them against their will in zoos ever going to provide a solution to the endless human manipulation and destruction of the planet?

  • @wks1978 Well in the short term, they're still alive. The lions getting shot in Africa by every other moron with a gun are dead. In the long term, when the poaching and hunting gets under control, zoos can start breeding and reintroducing the species. Also, as I stated, being allowed to observe animals may kindle a desire to better understand and care for the animals, thus increasing the "people who give a damn" to "people who want a nice lion rug" ratio in our favour.

  • @Fallzone2209 well said

  • @Fallzone2209 True that. It's awesome to see your favorite animals, even if you sometimes see them only in zoos or wildlife parks.

  • im gonna be honest, that wasn't as epic as it was funny lol

  • he is just gurgling mouthwash that's all xD

  • OMG its MUFASA!!

  • the ones at the zoo are the weak ones, so figure what the wild ones would sound like.

  • That is power.

  • it is saying allah you stupidos

  • @Tigersharpclaws perhaps you are right, but it still looks sad.

  • lions hate the cold. don't you see how depressed he looks ? this is a reason I want to just get rid of all zoo's and let animals be in freedom.. let them live the way God sent them to live.. In the wild, would you like to be stuck in a small space with humans always looking at you, taking pictures and stuff ? let the poor lion live..

  • lions hate the cold...they love cinamon

  • i think he mad

  • it looks depressed.

  • MasAllah Amazing Roar Scream, i Love it.

  • The New V8 Motor : Ford Lion : )

  • someone give this lion a halls

  • this cat should be free, thumbs up if you think zoo's should be banned (exept if they train animals to go back in the wild)

  • Poor cat must be cold, I can see its breath.

  • Is this in DC? if not where is it cuz i remember one time i went to this place but it was so dark we couldnt see any lions.

  • this lion had a sore throat

  • Zoos arent only for people to just see them, most animals are protected species and are being cared for, some b/c of injuries and cant survive in the wild. The money from tourists goes towards the animals, so quit complaining.

  • It sounds like he's saying "IT'S COLD AS FUCK GET ME A HEATER"

  • put him back were he belongs , in africa, and lets get rid of zoos.

  • people listen for a sce please. ok i know it should be free, but would you rahter he be killed by a poacher and his skin be sold for a million dollars or have him live a safe life in a zoo. lions and tiergs cheetas are hunted and skinned all the time in the wild.

  • i think its a hairball

  • awwww so sad he doesnt have a real roar

  • so sad :( we can feel his pain

  • That is Makonnen-he is no longer with the Brookfield Zoo. I believe he was sent to a zoo down in Texas 3 years ago. He is not that old-10 perhaps. The current lion is Zenda and he's 4 1/2. I miss big Mak, but Brookfield's got a hopefully breeding pair now with Isis. I posted a video of Zenda's roar just today. His is a bit...different!

  • Halls anyone!!

This damn cold is killing me!
