Nice. I have been lamp working for 16 years now and I still love it. I work out of my shop in Kona Hi. I am always happy to share my techniques and learn new ones. Keep up the great work. Aloha. Justin Wolfmoon
I love your enthusiasm. I've done lampworking (boro) as a hobby on and off. I really want to get connected with the glass art community too. I've been flying solo up here in NH for way too long. Not alot of ladies working with boro like me, compared to the guys. I'll keep watching. Yo're doing a great job. Thanks
Pretty cool BobII. Would like to see some close ups with that special lens cover. Maybe even slow-mo on complicated bits. Man, if I had time and understood DSP a little better, it would be awesome to filter out the noise your torch makes you could could talk in a normal voice... :)
look for our new look video that will be launching in place of torch time this week! we are changing the look of the torch time vids, because a few people have asked for closer shots of the work, and that I stop beiing lazy and remount the mattebox and dydimium plate filter.
I am actually having a cinematographer come out, and film me working so the camera will not be so damned non involved. it takes more planning since we are so far away now!-(
I hope you dont mind me posting this video reply here, Its my first lampworking vid, uploaded for testing purposes :), pretty crappy, but.. This is me (around 700hrs behind the torch) .. NICE TO MEET YOU ALL! :)
just relax, go with the flow, and keep posting! I am getting excited as a larger and larger glass community forms around the glass vids here on youtube!-)
if my dreams come true, we can all help form an open glass community that can be a positive part of open source culture!-)
Hey, nice vids, sorry If I missed something but can you tell me a little about the venitlation system. Why did you choose to buid it the way it is? Are there no gases escaping above it/sideways? especially when you place something right in the flame so the heat and gases spread around it and right back at you.. Im planning on moving my studio into a larger room (a garage) and Im trying to figure out a good ventilation system.
im new but all your videos are good.sharing is good. i new a prodo worker for a long time and he was a jerk about sharing.just scared i guess. good to see people sharing the love.
