How to install iOS 5 GM (iPhone / iPad / iPod touch)

@GoLd1PhOeNiX Yes... You can't update to iOS 5 GM, take a look at the video tutorial! You'll have to restore your iDevice with iOS 5 GM. It's better to wait a couple hours buddy!!

@doubledproductions91 this IS the official version of iOS 5 (5.0.0), like the creator of this vid said, if anything is changed by release, it would be iOS 5.1.0 or iOS 5.0.1 then you'd get an update message I assume. Haven't had any issues with mine yet. This isn't a jailbroken copy, it's the official version, I'm sure iTunes 10.5 will no longer be I beta at release and everyone will have to download the newest version of iTunes to get iOS 5.

Worked great for me, followed instructions exactly! I had to redownload all my apps though, the app data is still on it but no apps, probably because the computer my phone is synced with is out of commission for now and I just use this other computer for back ups and updating. iOS 5 is fantastic, especially the notification system and center.

PS. To get the camera button to show up on the lock screen you have to double tap the HOME button.

IF I UPDATE MY PHONE TO IOS 5 GM WILL IT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE ITSELF TO THE OFFICIAL VERSION OF IOS 5 OVER THE AIR ON WEDNESDAY WHEN IT COMES OUT OR WILL I HAVE TO UPDATE IT AGAIN WHEN IT COMES OUT MANUALLY

@DoubleDProductions91 If nothing will change, iOS 5 GM will also be the final release. So it will not update itself... Only if the iOS 5 final release is different than the iOS 5 GM version.

if people are getting the '3194' restore error message, upgrade your iDevice to 4.3.5, then download and install iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 (Windows), then plug in your iDevice and click 'shift+Restore' the select the iOS5GM firmware, This is how i solved it.

@Randyvdmeer works now:) i had gotten error 3194 so i googled it and realized i had to get tinyumbrella and uncheck a box in advanced and tried again and it worked:D!

@smartalic5 First remove everything that's Apple software. Not only iTunes, also the other things like Mobile blablabla.... After that, install the iTunes 10 beta 7. It should work, iOS 5 GM is now running on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 without problems. Did you searched the internet for the error...?!

@Randyvdmeer Thanks for the fast response! I did search for the error number and turns out l needed to uncheck "Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit" in TinyUmbrella. It worked and im updating as l reply.

My imessages aswell as icloud isnt working! How can I fix this? Or is it just becuase its not final realese?

@TheAnkify Did you follow the on screen setup in the beginning?! There you should enable iCloud. Otherwise, go to "Settings" > "iCloud" > and configure iCloud there with your iTunes ID. Don't know if iMessage works... With SMS it works, the free IM feature never tested so i can't give you the answer for that!

I did everything you said and have the right firmwares and iTunes but I keep coming up with errors code no matter how I do it

@Darkshadow7640 Newest iTunes installed? Shift + RESTORE button in iTunes? (DO NOT USE THE UPDATE BUTTON). Are you sure that you've got the firmware for YOUR iDevice? It should work without any problems.. Last night i updated my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 without errors.
