Mountain Slidewinder at Dollywood

Never again will I ride this. Last year my sister and I rode it, with a bunch of strangers (they were heavy) and the log got stuck around the curve. We were stuck there for about 15 minutes. Lol. xD

I went on this with my brother and my aunt. This slide is probably the most funnest water slide I ever went on! Well, maybe it was dare devil falls ! That is awesome !

me, my sister, and some other people that we didnt know got stuck on that ride....like the boat thing was like stuck on the curve part on the slide....it was hilarious...it took forever pushing and scooting back and forth just to get unstuck...lol

Slidewinder was alot of fun but, that 15 min. long ass walk up the hill just kills ya! Overall, I loved the ride! Just gotta hang on for dear life! :)

I don't know if this ride is still there. I rode a toboggan ride there in '07 but it disappeared in '08. Can anyone fill me in?

In '07 I rode a log flume there in a light weight rubbery toboggan/boat that you could really rock left and right around the curves. It was much better than Daredevil Falls. I did not find it in '08 and think it must have been this Slidewinder. I'll investigate the videos and come to a conclusion on why I missed it.

if you want a tip on this ride to go faster its a lot more dangerous cause you will get far enough up the wall on turns to flip but the tip is to go faster everybody in the boat should grab the person in front of thems handle you will go very fast everytime we do it were already out of the boat and starting to walk up the steps before the other boat even comes out of the tunnel lol

i've always loved this ride. when i last went in 2005, it seemed as though i got more wet than usual.

Great ride...I've been going to Dollywood for 20 years, and I still get nervous about riding the Slidewinder to this day. It's so unpredictable...

A few years back they put some padding on the turns so that the boats wouldn't bank as high. It still gets pretty fast though.
