@BradyMVP66 sorry we didnt suck for 5 straight years like u guys and got the 1st and 2nd overall picks, but right now i would take giroux over malkin, malkins point production has gone down a lot of it because of his injuries but giroux is a great all around player that quietly had 25 goals and 51 assists but he didnt shoot the puck and wasnt on the 1st PP unit, plus he is more physical and a better all around player, he finished like 3rd on the flyers in hits and is a penalty killer

@Flyers20Fan Malkin tore is ACL and that happens alot to players and they come back just as good. Giroux isnt a bad player but we cant be mentioned with Malkin til he wins an Art Ross or Conn Smythe trophy. Oh and a stanley cup. I guess we can talk after this next season because unloading all those players for a goalie isnt the smartest move. Once old man Pronger goes down again the flyers will be in shambles. they wont make the playoffs this year...

@BradyMVP66 u do realize the flyers didnt get rid of all those players just for bryzaglov, they only had to get rid of either richards or carter, they chose both because both of their worth ethics hav gone down along with their play, holmgrem felt they werent the right guys to build a team around and is not going to be around giroux and JVR and schenn who is the number 1 prospect in the world and our draft pick courturier this year is sick, they said he could be the best player in the draft

@BradyMVP66 this wasnt the 1st time malkin had problems with his knee, plus his point production was going down before his injuries but we cant really judge between giroux and malkin who are completely different players until after this year to see if malkin goes back to his old form or if giroux gets even better, giroux is the better all round player tho, just a matter of whether he is a 100 point guy or 80, by the way the flyers will make the playoffs this year ....

@BradyMVP66 u realize they are not building the team around pronger, they are starting over with a core, a more physical, harder working and better 2 way player core, trust me, the flyers team this year is still half decent:

giroux, briere, JVR, Jagr(a study done a week ago said to expect up to 70 point from him), hartnell, voracek(young skilled 50 point guy), simmonds, (physical, hard working young 20 goal potential), schenn, - #1 prospect in the world, sean courturier ... we will be fine

@Flyers20Fan Yes I realize they arent building around Pronger. The best thing Pronger has done is tutor Carle. I agree Jagr will have 70 pts at least. Schenn could be good but who knows til he makes the show. Richards is a bad ass player and Bryzgalov isnt all that. They overpaid him. I am not sold as Giroux being a player you build a team around. Philly may be decent this year but they wont finsh above 5th in the east and way behind the Pens. Bryzgalov will contract will blow up in there face

@BradyMVP66 i hav watched richards a lot over the past few years, he is not the player he used to be, hes less physical, hustles less and his points hav gone down, u realize brygalov has had back to back .920 % with a mediocre coyotes team, hes good, hes a franchise goalie, did we overpay him, yes but we'll see how he works out, i am fine with the contract tho, we wanted a good goalie long term and we got one, thats why we didnt get vokoun, too old and didnt want a long term deal
