@DolleHengst The San Francisco Treaty in 1951 served officially to end WW2, to end formally Japan's position as an imperial power, and to allocate compensation to Allied civilians and former prisoners of war who had suffered the Japanese war crimes. Also, the treaty shows the allied powers and Japan will never condemn each other for performing acts during the war also.
