The catalyst was in Ishi, Hiro's sick mom. It was transferred to baby Claire in order to save the catalyst before Ishi passed away. Claire's ability to regenerate made her a prime candidate to inherit the catalyst. To my knowledge, Adam never had it.

A GUN and he seem he was dead, just like claire and peter they both died claire died but was brought back to life when they remove that big ass twig on her head and peter revived after they removed that glass shard from his head... but heres another problem when nathan was shot after volume 2 he died BUT he was brought back to life and back to normal and that still remains a mystery of how he recovered so fast

Nathan will die because Peter is too important to the show, he is basically the main character, that was proven from the "save the cheerleader, save the world" sh1t. Nathan is just always stuck in the middle of stuff and all he can do is fly, his role can't progress. That scene where they say they love each other is foreshadowing an event to come, which is one of them dieing who i think will be Nathan. That's why Angela cries and why Sylar says Claire will be so mad at him.
