  • Comment removed

  • I. want. NO. I. NEED. THIS. CAMERA!

  • the one problem that i have with this camera is the grip. i hate how they made it like the rebel cameras. I like the grip on the 5d mark 2 way better than the grip on the 7d. :P

  • Your voice is so relaxed.

  • "8 frames per seconds never sounded that good" :D nice!!! :D

  • @ ChristopherKblog : A Five Stars Review... Very Helpful...

  • 0:38 priceless :)

  • OMG... That camera and that lens! I'm drooling already!!

  • hello Germany ;D I want some beer! no no, I want nice Mercedes and BMW's and Audi's please bro! Audi R8! BMW 6series + M and finally...Mercedes AMG / Brabus will do =P haha.. anyway, what are you using now? 7D rocks man. 7D + Canon's 35mm f/2.0 excellent stuff. Greetings from Hong Kong =D

  • I MUST SAY, UK is a pure RIP off for electronics! I've bought mine for £1000 in East Asia..i.e. HK/Taiwan with FREE spare battery, extra strap, coupons, membership, mugs, camera bag, cloth, tripod, scratch free sticker for the lcd... ALL FREE.. UK' gets nothing for free. PURE RIP OFF for buying electronics in UK! A Canon 24-105mm L lens ONLY costs £653.00 in HK/Taiwan, and Dixons/Jessops costs something like £939.00..!! Save almost £300! I'm speechless! £300 - buy another Canon 35mm f/2

  • @kiwichai

Dont't worry, it's the same in Germany! You get nothing, even on request!

But keep in mind. 7d has now a scratch resistant display ;-))

    greeting from germany

    Christopher

  • @ChristopherKblog hello Germany ;D I want some beer! no no, I want nice Mercedes and BMW's and Audi's please bro! Audi R8! BMW 6series + M and finally Mercedes AMG / Brabus will do lols =P .. are you using 7D? 7D rocks although its APS-C.. but still excellent stuff.. im using 7D with Canon's 35mm f/2.0 and 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye. Greetings from Hong Kong ;D

  • @kiwichai Its all to do with tax and vat. That is why its so expensive.

  • @ClankyRochet ahh sod it! its just a pure rip off, simple as that!

  • @kiwichai yes. I would agree to that.

  • @kiwichai same for me, where I live, canon EOS 7D: $2,000 and its FAKE! The only place to find a cheap EOS DSLR from canon is the showroom, for where I live.

  • @kiwichai

The camera body costs less than a grand in the UK.. You can pick upall extras not more than £40 from amazon. :-))

  • @kiwichai canon you give me a link to the shops website

  • @kiwichai

That is because the bankers that control the UK, Europe, and the USA have devalued the currency down to toilet paper. Now consider that this toilet paper money is "fractional reserve" debt based interest fiat currency, that is mostly made up digital nonsense, and you begin to see the magnitude of the problem.

  • Hmm you also need the right lens to keep up with fast focussing on moving subjects too.

Some canon lenses are slow to autofocus.

They have different types of autofocus drive.

The fastest ones are ring USM.

If you want to know more research a bit on google.

  • this camera is not weather resistent. Reciently I went to patagonia with 4 7d canon users and their cameras show some troubles with the rain. My friends had to dry their 7d after that because some dials doest not working.

  • its not telling u to go use the camera in the rain hahahah

  • that was a joke?? cuek!!

  • A 85mm 1.2 is bigger, so would be a 50mm 1.2 :)

  • looks like the lens is a 85mm f/1.2

  • @algameman Its the fastest 1:2f $3000+ 50mm "L" series

  • Whats the lense he got in this vid?

  • haha I love how in the video the set button doesn't rotate when the thumb dial is turning

  • @bradenalmighty Maybe it's because the LOCK button is on for the thumb dial. Hmmmmm

  • ha no even when the lock is on the set button still rotates, just not in canons video

  • @bradenalmighty Oh, I understand what you're saying now LOL! Maybe they were using a pre-production mockup made of plastic. hehehehe! Good eye.

  • is there a canon eos 7d, just for video????

  • It will only set you back about a grand...... that is all! But in fairness... a HD cam can cost over 6K!!! So all in all... Seems like a VERY good buy!!

  • 2 grand after taxes and with a kit lens

  • Performance, strength, and durability...just the type of chick I want to meet.

  • When he says the camera has been tested to 150,000 shots, does that mean you'll eventually need a new lens, or a new shutter mechanism?

  • I want ONE !!!

  • you just have to go to the shop and buy one.

  • is that a nifty fifty on that baby?

  • I've had mine for 3 weeks now.... upgraded from the 350D. All I have to say about this baby is WOW. It's so fast, and so complex to use... will take time to get used to all the settings, the pictures are great now, and will only get better with time (I hope) :-)

It may be £1699 in the UK but it's only $1699 in the US... guess where I got mine. ;-)

Slapped a Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens on this and well... it's breathtaking. The AF is VERY fast but also very different from previous Canon cameras..

  • Thats the first time the camera has looked small in someones hand lol.

  • I ordered one

  • i love the smile from the presenter xD

  • hes reading from a teleprompter... he never grew up with electronics GET THE PICTURE!??

  • this might be the camera to convince me to change from Nikon to Canon.. I feel dirty.

  • Think the presenter is fine, the 7D even better.

    However...

    Its just too expensive!

    £1700 B/O in the UK

Think I'll stick with my 40D and 20D until the price drops (a lot)

  • ya, this will be my first dslr. I am mainly a videographer (thus the reason I'm looking at the 7d). I enjoy taking stills and would really benefit from the 7d's high iso performance, af, and build quality. In reality I only need the performance of a 50d, but there is no video. And countless times people advise to get quality lenses, but if a certain body does something that you need (video in this case) it can't be substituted.

  • @provid1234

How often will you be using for video? I have the 40D and the Vixia HF -S100 camcorder. Two dedicated cameras for stills and videos. $1700 for this camera without a lens, I would question you choice. The HD videos takes up a lot of space. You will have to have enough cards if shooting videos. Cards will have to be Extreme speed, which adds more cost. You will also need more batteries. In the end, with a lens you are looking at $2000 +. Better think about it...

  • I actually have the hfs100. You don't need extreme cards at all for shooting video. The data rate for video is 48 megabits per second which equates to about 6 megabytes per second which a x66 or x133 can easily handle. I'm gonna get an adapter for my sdhc (i have about 42gb of sdhc cards) cards to shoot video only (which will be sufficient enough for speed). Then I'll get a separate 8 or 4gig high speed card. If the 50d shot video I would totally get it, but for 500 bucks more the 7d is better.

  • @provid1234

I can't find this answer anywhere. Maybe you can tell me. Does the Live View work in Auto Mode?

    Thanks

  • @411R411 Yes but the autofocus is slow as it is on the Nikon. it is better to focus first then switch to LV then manual focus throughout the vid. with an "L" series lens, you can fulltime focus with the lens still switched to Autofocus !!! How about that for class!!!

  • @411R411 yes but the Autofocus is slow. You should turn LV off hit the AF focus button or shutter button, then switch to LV. then continue focus by using manual focus. If you purchase an "L" series lens then you can continue manual focus without switching to manual focus on the lens....Cool Canon invention huh!!!

  • Damn I think I will finally need to upgrade from 400D..

    What an awesome tool!

  • That was not an insult but a suggestion.

What is your business in this anyway?

Ps. Get an english tutor. Waste.

  • 7D, a great camera!

Not only full of feauters, but also the IQ to go with it.

At low ISO, easily class leading resolution.

At high ISO, surpricingly the 7D still is class leading capturing more detail, and still manage to control noise very well, despite the high megapixelcount!

    Bravo Canon! I´ve ordered one..

  • You mean mark 2, don't be stupid your camera had a full frame sensor. The 7D could be your backup camera, thats what it

offers. And if you look at the canon website you will see that the 7D sits below ( not above) the 5D mark 2 so don't be stupid.

  • He wrote Mark 1, not Mark 2. Read correctly before insulting people.

  • i''l give-up my 5D mark 1 for this one! thanks for sharing.
