Matt wrote the bass line for Hysteria It was originally for the guitar then was subsequently moved to bass.

Actually, the hysteria bassline was a soundcheck bassline at first. But they thought it sounded good so they decided to use it for a song.

It's not piece of crap, it's a fact that Matthew writes the whole song, excluding the drums. Everything else is written by Matt himself.
