  • go jose go blue lou

  • I remember when he sang as a wonder child. Her realy matured as a great musician. This preformace is great and compared well with those of King.

  • jaja aguebo jose feliciano!!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The groove he starts out with is from "Born Under a Bad Sign."

  • awesome

  • 3:13

  • wow !!

  • The best version of this song

and sure.. certainly if We can see BBking plays some Jose Feliciano's spanish Flamenco/classical instrumental tunes we can only laugh of these.. because He can't neither imitate Jose styles in classical/flamenco/jazz, Jose is the most incredible guitarist in the world

  • Awesome rendition, really unbelievable but PLEASE don't compare him to the original BB King. NO ONE DOES THIS SONG LIKE HE DOES. He doesn't sound like BB or play like him. He sounds like Jose Feliciano doing BB like only Jose can... beautifully. But there is a huge difference.

  • @zembelo1 : disculpá hermano, yo no veo diferencias, cada cual es un GRANDE, en su ESTILO. Lo mismo: si comparamos a Gary M. con Eric C. y/o viceversa.

  • Excellent!! :)

  • HE SOUNDS LIKE BB KING AND PLAYS LIKE HIM TOO

  • excellent!!

  • Incredible performance

  • Le pied bouge => c'est tout bon.

  • 'm a BB King fan... but Jose surpassed him here! Fantastic!

  • He da man....can anyone here gives us the words he sings in?

  • Doesn't better than BB, but very good.

  • Absolutely awesome

  • purely sweet

  • better than BB King!

  • @Top100Guitarist Never!!

  • @ottoguitar1988 Jose is the most incredible and wide range guitarist in the world...

  • Wow. Amazing.

  • He's still GOT it, after so many years. What a guy!

  • Did Y'all realise...

Back in '68 Jose sang the National Anthem at the World Series...And he sang it like Jose Feliciano (which one would expect, after all)...

Much controversy ensued...Seriously...Some folks got very upset about the "non-traditional" performance of the "Star- Spangled Banner"...

Times was crazy as hell back then - And I was a Sergeant in tyhe Marines...

  • This man has got soul coming out of his poors and his pipes. I grew up listening to his sound and he gets to me every time I hear him sing and play. Amazing musician and can sing his ass off. Peace.

  • Jose feliciano guitar master

  • brilliant

  • I had seen Jose live on stage in Hong Kong, back in the early 90's. He was awesome.

  • what a freaking solo of guitar !!!! great JOSE !!!!

  • better than b.b.

  • FSCK! I've heard of Jose before but never heard him play...this is possibly the most important blues of all, and he nailed it. NAILED. IT. He respects B.B where necessary but he plays some Jose as well. Balanced, subtle and effortless - true quality. I enjoyed this immensely.

  • The very first number I heard him perform was "Light my Fire". At the time it was unique. That the Doors later covered it said it all for me. The man's a genius!

  • @gordbard afraid to say the doors wrote it and its the other way around but jose version is brilliant

  • @tonyiow1 Well I'm blowed. I didn't actually start hearing the doors till they performed "Hello I love you" on top of the pops over here. I guess they must have been known in the states for quite some time before that.

  • @gordbard yes they were big i think 67 in usa still feliciano is a genius live he is mesmerising if you get a chance to see him live go its a never to be forgotten experience

  • @tonyiow1 Thank you! I'll keep a lookout! Regards, bard.

  • @gordbard other way , he covered the doors

  • @stick935 Thanks again.

  • Wow! Can't hear it enough!

  • This really is truely awesome. Guys just don't get much cooler than this. What a brilliant clip. I wish I could shake his hand and say ' Thanks pal ' .

  • This really is truely awesome. Guys just don't get much cooler than this. What a brilliant clip. I wish I could shake his hand and say ' Thanks pal ' .

  • jump back BB and let him kick ass

  • one of the greats right here and not alot of people no it. its a shame

  • esta version nunca la habia escuchado, y aun me estoy estremeciendo ,

me quito el aliento , WOW !!!

    Long Life to Jose Feliciano.

  • Long way and long time from "Feliz Navidad"...rock on!

  • Awesome!

  • I'm not a blues fan, but this is incredible.

  • he plays so many kinds of music very well, like ray charles

  • this guy is just awsome be a fan of his for many years

  • Damas y Caballeros (ladies and gentleman) from Lares, Puerto Rico...The best!!!!

  • Jose has a really good habit of playing songs better than the people who wrote them.

  • @mattsvideothing You're right about that. The man is so incredibly talented, he's incapable of a bad performance, and raises the bar on the original...amazing!

  • @mattsvideothing exxxxxxxcellent!

  • This is real music, with real musicians. Not enough of it these days!

  • Brilliant. He can play and sing anything with absolute ease and master-like skill.

  • i like to hear awesome musicians cover other awesome music, theres a lack of that today

  • Damn he is good. I love the Spanish flavor he adds to this song.

  • To Bill Harris - Awesome, thanks SO much for the note. Hope you are well & still playing like a master! Rgds, Patrick

  • Now that is soul music at it's finest

  • For whose that don't know, he is blind! Oh my god what talent! :)

  • That's music. Fantastic!

  • wwwoooww, es un genio con la guitarra y su voz se presta mucho para esta canción, exelente!! Vive Latino

  • Brilliant! José Feliciano certainly knows how to light a good fire!

  • Any one know who the sax player is? he can play it....curious.

  • @pmt625

Yeah, that's me. Teaching at Berklee now, kind of a drag. (JOKING) : ) No idea who's playing sax, but he's great. Yup. Jose rocks, oh lawd.

  • @pmt625 sax player is Bill Harris (me!)

  • This guy's a genius, wow!

  • Nice version pretty cool

  • Nobody can beat him, I swear.

  • He's an amazing spanish guitar player, a good classical guitar player (please, make the difference), but he's not a better bluesman as BB. King.

  • i almost see to disagree

  • Soory but.. he's also a better bluesman guitar player, check the versions well... and how Jose plays ;)

  • C'mon, he's a really good player, but please don't say he's a better BLUESMAN than BB King... You would be wrong.

However, he obviously waaayyy better at classical/spanish stuff.

  • king is fantastic bluesman, and one of the greatest blues musicians there is... but I have to say that i liked Joses version more.

  • godn damn. that's right. jose - the king. man american idol - shame on you. stop foolin naive people yo.....

  • Jose Feliciano is one of the baddest guitarist there ever will be. He's a liveing classic. He's always been good since the 70s.That bass player is off the hook also. I like this version as well as BBs. There's more than one way to loose the Thrill....

  • Blues con sabor latino , muy bueno

  • Unbeleivable talent! I think beside B.B.KIng he is worthy to stage this great song. Also can be heard as 1 of the tracks in the movie Casino. Well Done. By-the-way...B.B.K. is coming to Budapest July,16.2009.

  • Simplemente el mejor....ojala algun dia pueda verlo junto a B.B. King.....ARRIBA JOSE!!!

Ojala algun dia venga a Ecuador...jejeje

  • damn that was good anyone know where I can find that tabs?

  • Such a fantastic voice -- such a tremendous guitarist. Another brilliant performance by one of the greatest singer's of the last 40 years. Certainly one of the most underrated singers, inasmuch as you almost never hear him on the radio or hear about him in the media. Jose conveys so much emotion and he generates so much emotion (and pleasure) in the listener. His voice is full and powerful, yet soothing (largely due to its beautiful tone). An amazing talent and one-of-a-kind.

  • He was ban from TV and Radio

In 1968, at the height of protests against the Vietnam War, Feliciano was given the opportunity to perform The Star-Spangled Banner at Tiger Stadium during the World Series. His highly personalized, slow, Latin jazz performance proved highly controversial. He accompanied himself on an acoustic guitar. Feliciano's "Star-Spangled Banner" took place 10 months before the more famous Jimi Hendrix rendition at Woodstock.

    It's on youtube

  • beyond description.

  • What kind of guitar is that ,,,,anyone

  • From the headstock, the axe is a D'Angelico New Yorker, looks like a discontinued model

  • Nice and very cool

  • I adore his voice.

  • I can't believe how wonderful he is !

Where and when was this show ?

  • Thanks!!!!
