He also was right about us, we may be flawed, but most of us do the best we can in this life. Gabriel was right, "no one makes us do anything", we always have a choice (even angels).

This scene manages to be one of my favorites and my least favorites all in one go. It's incredible because Gabriel's speech and Lucifer's emotions are just brilliant, but I hate that Gabriel dies. He's always been one of my favorite characters. I sincerely hope they find some way to bring him back. Richard brings so much to the show.

This scene is so emotional. You can even see how it looks like Gabriel's about to start crying when Lucifer stabbed him. It was like when Lucifer called him 'little brother' something in him just broke. You think Sam and Dean portray the brother-hate/love relationship? This goes beyond that! Even Lucifer is about to cry, though he's the one doing the murder. Kudos to both actors! This is some amazing acting, this scene had me going a lot more than any Sam/Dean family scenes.

I just love Gabriel for taking "our" side. And his "Damn right they're flawed. But a lot of them try to do better. To forgive." is a quote that will always be the most meaningful to me, along with Damien's "To wake up every morning and save the world. To have a brother who would die for you.Well who wouldn't want that?" and Chuck's "Up against good, evil, angels, devils, destiny and God himself. They made their own choice. They chose family." Gabriel was a nice Angel and the Actor was good too but i think the Archangel Gabriel was far to weak in this series.

I like Raphael best because his old actor ( not the Woman ) was the best and the Character of Raphael was also a special one , dunno why but i liked him better than Gabriel , Lucifer or Michael

He seems to hold human beings on a higher scale. sure he brought back Cas but that was mainly as a reward for helping the Winchester brothers. If he wanted to bring any back like Anna or Gabriel he would have done so already. I think he's just sick of the Angels ever since Michael and Lucifer disappointed him. He never did anything because in the end humans pick family but the angels didn't. They just followed orders.

@CrimesonWitcher well i could see with gabriel cause in this scene he just showed compassion to humanity which was what god wanted in the first place. he is also the only angel who is not loyal to castiel and he wishes to stop the end of the world at the end so if any angel is to be redeem it would be him seeing that he is now the only arcangel who would side with the winchesters. Gabriel i think was the only angel who actually saw what god truly wanted.

If he really care then they would have been back by now. Cas has the power to destroy but I'm not sure if he has the power to bring his fellow angels back. That power may be God exclusive. @ATA030 Well Michael is "The Archangel". He was the 1st angel to be created, the leader of God's Army, and also the most powerful angel. So he kinda deserves that title. Gabriel, I don't believe, has ever been given the title of an Archangel in the Bible, but because of his importance within the Bible, he's earned it over time. The other 2 Archangels, in Christian lore, are Raphael, and Lucifer. Lucifer being the Fallen Angel.
