  • i am big with this song n loudness

  • This is the song that turned a bunch of my friends into Loudness fans :)

  • wasn't this band once the late Taiji(from X-japan fame) was in?

  • @aloozer Yes

  • @aloozer yes

  • @aloozer Yep. He was with them for a few years after X Japan. Pretty lucky to have been in two of the greatest metal bands ever if you ask me, too bad he's gone. D:

  • Im seeing them in Malaysia NOW!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • For the first time..Loudness is coming to Malaysia...Hail Loudness !!

  • alomst 1/2 million views - glad i am not the only one who still likes them \m/

  • one of the best class heavy metal solos ever..

  • My ears rang for 2 days after the Minneapolis show- well worth it!!! Great show! Thanks again to Kilted Farmer for getting them here. Didn't look like Minneapolis was on the original tour schedule.

  • Just seen Akira and crew a couple days ago and it was totally kickass as usual, thanks! when are you visiting again, we are all waiting for your killer shredzzzzzzz!!!!!!

  • I love this PV, has to be one of my favourites and I don't even know what it is.

  • pedazo de cancion

  • en la escuela lo cantaba yo i mis amigos como un himno patrio jajaja ke cancion tan buenaa :)

  • Easy..,Akria

  • \m/

  • Munetaka Higuchi, RIP. What a drummer!

  • Everything is great but ,I can't help to wonder why does nearly all the metal videos are ridiculous? Maybe it is the year they were made in, in do not know, but I rather not to watch the vidoes because it lowers the quality of the song in my mind.

  • There isnt many guitar players that can do what Akira does, some of you people that think he isnt good.....take some fuckin music classes, Its so funny that people think Angus Young is such a good guitar player, he sucks so bad. Any 3rd week guitar student could do what that bonehead Angus does......I just dont get why people dont see the greatness of Akira...I have seen Loudness 8 times, da best, with Portnoy a close second......

  • @woodystorey Agreed he was very underrated but by far one of the best guitar players in the world in my opinion, some people think that playing 2 guitars in one go is awesome, I love his work because its got "soul" in it but like I said its an opinion

  • @woodystorey dude chill...

  • @woodystorey hey I don´t think Angus is that much of a player too,but AC/DC is one of my favorite bands,he gets the job done!!No use comparing Loudness with them

  • long live rockers !!!

  • Epic solo !!!!

  • Loudness proves that the East and the West can share the same tune!

  • Very nice band.Great solos and generally very good work

  • After that... Manowar sound like catholic school band!!

  • This song is fucking Awesome !! \m/ XD

  • I find it, japanesse heavy metal, saludos xineruas.

  • heaving ching

  • Look at Akira flick the selector....sweet

  • ALL U HEAR NOW IS DOWN TUNED E-STRINGS WITH A PLODDING RIFF AND NO GREAT MUSICIANSHIP OR JUST SHIT LIKE NICKLEBACK, ITS FKN SAD

  • MUSIC TODAY DOESNT HAVE THE VIRTUOSITY ON THERE INSTRUMENTS NOWHERE CLOSE TO THESE GUYS, I HAVENT HEARD A 'GREAT' GUITAR SOLO IN MORE THAN A DECADE, ITS EASY TO BE A ROCK MUSICIAN THESE DAYS ,CAN LEARN UR INSTRUMENT IN A YEAR NOW, WHY THE MUSIC SUCKS GENERALLY, THE GUYS PLAYING DONT PERFECT THERE CRAFT, BACK THEN U HAD A HANDFUL OF VIRTUOSOS- NOW..... NUTHIN EVEN CLOSE AND THE MUSIC SUFFERS

  • 2:42 Higuchi at a fine moment!!!!

  • Seen them live in 1986 opening for the CRUE_ was blown away ....crue was more into half- naked ......whatever- LOUDNESS was heavier by far- first time i ever heard them- no question they rocked it harder then the CRUE that night

  • Asia just gained +1 respect from me

  • Damn, I forgot all about this song and how much it rocks!

  • I remember when Loudness was on metalshop in the 80s.They hit the U.S. like a violent storm. I went out as soon as I could and bought their cassette THUNDER IN THE EAST. Loudness is still one of the best heavy metal bands that ever came out. I still jam to them. They will FOREVER rock.

  • I fucking love this song.

    Higuchi is a monster drummer.

  • good metal from asia...raspect asia

  • Straight up Metal, Not Death,Not Black,Not,Thrash and so on.

Loudness to me are the epitome of Heavy Metal.... One of the best bands ever.

Akira Rules, I think he is the greatest guitarist ever next to Randy Rhoads !

  • I WONDER WHAT HE SAYS RIGHT BEFORE THE SOLO.. SOUNDS LIKE....HIPPIE GONE DIEEEEEE HEHE

  • back in this time period, being a guitar player myself , akira was always on par with rhoades , vh, vai, lynch, dimartini, sykes , gary moore, i listened to this record as much as any of them, great album, when it came out , absolute first thing u notice......AKIRA TAKASAKI. GREAT PLAYING ALL THROUGH THUNDER IN THE EAST, MUST HAVE CLASSIC FOR ANY GUITAR PLAYER, AND HAY..THE SONGS WERE SURPRISINGLY GOOD! GREAT RECORD FROM OUR FRIENDS IN THE EAST

  • true music

  • my dad still hs this tape back when tapes were in almighty glory. never listened to this band until i saw this video.

i had read about these guys, and they were beloved in japan because they had very few bands sing in their native tongues around the time.

based from that information, i thought they would be worth a listen, and the listen was worth it! Nice sound, and will last as long as it so desires to.

  • This was my 1st metal album! Thunder In The East rules!!!

  • I'm so glad I bought this record

  • I wish there was a good quality version of Black Star Oblivion

  • One of my favorite songs of all time, video...not so much

  • @Kabuki7 if you still havent found out the title, maybe Dream Fantasy?

  • awsome! Japanese metal at his best, takasaki is an amazing lead guitar player, pure heavy metal. hail to them!

  • I think the song Kabuki is talking about is Crazy Doctor.

  • Thunder In The East = Top 10 Albums all time! Akira PWNS that phag diamond darrell!

  • This album was much anticipated but really a let down. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple great songs and many moments of sheer brilliance. But this was really a Loudness album made for the American audience. The Law of Devil's Land was the first album I heard from them and I still consider it their best. The title song, Into the Mirror, and Show Me the Way are some of the best songs. The whole album is simply a kick in the face to old-school metal-heads like me. Whew! Check it out !!!

  • @Kabuki7 I think you might be thinking of "Law of Devil's Land", the title song and my favorite Loudness album.

  • Say what you will, these guys could rock!

  • WOCK N WOLL

  • @bambamh20 It is Lock and LoRR! :-D

  • Sheee Wants To Run, Goin' On, Point Of No Return ♪

  • @Kabuki7

I think it could be "Milky Way" -> youtube.com/watch?v=0gdgMfWySuQ (that's english version of this song)

  • Brings back memories.....

  • Класс, японским камрадам привет. Впервые группу услышал в 87 году. Даже довелось увидеть в живую в 88 году.

  • these guy's, were great when they sang in english or japanese just another great metal band.

  • yea pure metal i like this not so speed and grunge....long live arc enemy,,,

  • oh man i used to play this song... i just may have to pick up the guitar again

  • i think you will be happier switching to judas priest

  • @lumberchicken007 Judas Priest probably loves these guys. Are you deaf, sir?

  • @scret9

i can't speak for judas priest, but i presume rob h wouldn't mind a taste. lol

as for me - my old roomy just overplayed loudness in our tiny apartment. he either played loudness or vietnamese love ballads, go figure. i should have directed him to judas as well. oh well, too late for that.

  • nice band..i like itm

  • i have to agree im glad to be born in the 80s best time for music of all genres especially for metal. Bands were formed on a passion and desire to make it and struggled to get contracts. Only the best of the best ever made it through so you knew the music was gonna be shit hot. This is why music made in the 80s is timeless in comparion today were people can go on talent shows and get exposure. TO ALL THE 80S KIDS AND PARENTS GET YOUR WIGS OUT AND THROW AWAY YOUR J BIEBER TRACKS LETS ROCKKKK LOL

  • Saw these guys open for Motley Crue back in 1985.... as musicians they blew MC off the map.

  • the 80's girl hair style on men is why these bands failed! black metal is all i hear anyway, metal sucks ANTI-HEAD BANGING!!!

  • @johnm8h The fact that this video is on YouTube and STILL being watched to this day is a testament to the longevity and success that only REAL MUSIC can achieve! Black metal is underground for a reason: Horrible production, shitty sounding guitars. Shitty sounding drums. Shitty sounding vocals like someone taking a dick in the throat. Not to mention the ridiculous panda makeup.

It's clear to me from looking at your profile that you're a hateful person. Did mommy and daddy not love you enough?

  • @TheHbot Well Black Metal is supposed to sound and look like that, that's its vibe and allure. It's kind of hypocritical to defend your music against a hater while being a hater yourself. Loudness, Poison, and Dokken kick ass, as do Burzum, Darkthrone, and Satanic Warmaster.

  • @TheHbot I don't know about you, but because one person is like the one who you described are not all people who listen/perform black metal. Why I'm saying it to you? Because I like black metal, in fact every metal genres. And just because one fucking idiot trolled something shit, that doesn't mean that you have to offend normal people and make a troll happy. I've just came here to listen what kind of heavy metal japanese people came up with (really good kind of).

  • @TheHbot Very well said. Idiots who claim that only black metal and underground music is real metal are dumb as shit. They should know that it's underground for a reason and not because it's good. They really have to prove themselves that they are tough. And people like that are anything but tough if they feel the need to show it.

  • @johnm8h you are stupid shit... if you dont like it why the fuck you wacth it? if you anti head banging you have the right to kill your self...And Black metle suck! its like some one singging while suck a cock! You fail!

  • Akira was one one of the best guitarists of the 80s, blending the melodic remnants of the 70s (Schenker et.al.) with shred and effects effortlessly. I put him right up there with George Lynch in that category. Great tunes too.

  • Damn... Nicest Solo i ever heard...

  • Oldies....

  • Originated from Japan! Loudness was one of the greatest band back in the 80's. Gotta hand it to them!

  • Loudness were from Japan...moved to NYC. I saw them in 1984 doing a Canadian club tour. Amazing band! Nicest guys you'd ever meet. They borrowed our sound and lights and my band opened up for them at the Rex Hotel in Edmonton. Akira is the most humble guy you'd ever meet. The singer was hilarious.

  • the guitarist reminds me of Lord Zedd from power ranger

  • that guitarist is so king

  • they are from new york not japan...

  • @MrKATERROCK u dont know nothing about this band....they are from japan

  • @MrKATERROCK there from japan dumbass

  • The solo is inspiring<<

  • the song and band bring back my youngster memories

  • My Favorite.

  • God. Munetaka was such an excellent drummer.

  • mad riffs!

  • awesome...

  • kick this on my ipod.....on stun Takasaki was the shiznit

  • kick this on my ipod.....on stun

  • Can't describe with words how AWESOME this song is ....

  • the guitar player is beast

  • memory never ends. rock on guys

  • kicking ass guitarist.met these guys back in the 80's with motley crew at a record signing place

  • @ironfistist

it's CRUE...not crew. Or if you want to get technical about it, it is Crüe, Mötley Crüe

  • @masterdierk yea i know , i wasn"t paying attention to what i was spelling,so keep on rockin dierks

  • @masterdierk how do you add the umlauts on a keyboard?

  • @rickyjshiznit

You have to hold the "alt" key and press 3 numbers.

    ü is "alt" 129, ö is 148

  • @rickyjshiznit

There is a website that tells you all the Umlaut codes, but youtube won't let me post it in a comment, but if you type in "how to type german umlauts" on Google, it should be the first link.

  • @masterdierk thanks. youtube lets you post urls now btw.

    youtube.com

  • Trust me rock never die

  • 1.04...blood of my enemies...

  • Oh my god that solo was AMAZING I can barely believe it was real... holy shit. o_o;;;

  • I saw Loudness with Stryper back in the 80s. The singer between every song would ask the crowd to yell "Hell Yes". I wondered If it was a innocent remark or an attack at Stryper and religion? Both bands are great, also check out EZO. Also at the time Loudness singer walked with a terrible limp and it looked like it was causing him pain.

  • @sacredgroovetube saw them with Motley Crue in 85 at the Garden

  • power metal , akira the only one

  • MUNETAKA HIGUCHI forever!

  • IN MY 40`S IT SEEM LIKE I WAS STELL 15 WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG, GREAT MEMORIES...LOUDNESS..KEEP ROCKIN..ROCK NEVER DIE///

  • great song

  • ROCK THE WORLD

  • Shit, it's a mistake when I was born on 1996. I should've borned earlier cause seriously, this is my kind of music ! Back then, the rock era is the bestest era forever ! :D

  • @hariz13may Dude me to!! 1996~~~!!!! HAHA :( sad thou.. not many melaysian listen to this kind os song..

  • i hear this song when i was 12 until now that im 30 plus n istill love it......yearhhhh..keep on bangin man.

  • The solo is epic but I never liked the rest of the song..

  • I saw them at "Club Manhattan's" in Rockland County NY in the 80's. Lots of great metal and hard rock bands played there! Loudness was amazing!

  • i'm started hearing this song in 1985 since i'm 15 YO

  • 17 dislikes, fuck you guys!

  • @blingadingading We can't be liked by everyone xD

  • im totaly mindfucked by the solo

    akira takasaki is god!

  • Oriental metal just isn't the same as GOOD metal from JERSEY like Trixter, Spread Eagle, and SKID ROW...the facts are simple: Mikey Romeo could play circles around these guys.

  • @joehogan212 Asian ! you fool.....

  • @joehogan212 Fuck that, Japanese Metal is the best

  • @joehogan212 I love Baz and Symphony X, but mate you must be young cuz this is kick ass. Anyone that shreds today would pay tribute to Akira

  • @joehogan212 it's not entirely about how fast you can shred (Akira has improved in 25 years you know), it's about whether you can make a song and this is a brilliant song

  • Wow! what a step back in time.. Akira, you fucked smoke! and yes I totally agree with all viewers, todays bands just don't measure up! long live Power Metal!!!!!

  • Akira Takasaki IS AWESOME!!

  • Heavy Metal!!!!

  • Akira Takasaki > diamond Darrell

  • @DizzleHell dude careful. if ur gonna use signs, use an = please. And "diamond" was wrong, it's Dimebag. always was. But dun get me wrong, I love Akira a lot

  • @Vamphetamine DIMEBAG was know as DIAMOND DARRELL for the first five PANTERA albums

  • @Vamphetamine you are clearly not a pantera fan if you dont know that dimebag used to go by diamond darrel.

  • @rickyjshiznit Yeah I know he used to have Diamond on the album covers but I read in an interview with Vinnie that it was the record company made him call himself Diamond when he actually called himself Dimebag so... No biggie anyway.

  • pure heavy metal. not speed or grunge.

hearing them again after 25years, its refreshing.

i'm so sick of todays metal

by the way I got the original vinyl for disolussion, thunder in the east, lighting strikes

    is it worth anything????

  • @alexaadap I agree I love 80's metal
