For the money arcteryxt was very thin correct? It's like a plastic bag almost? So this jacket is much better value?

But no doubt for $50. more you get way more value!
Remember, Arcteryx Venta SV - NOT Water Proof, Less Breathable.
PS: Paying $400.00 for an Arcteryx jacket that says MADE IN CHINA

what are the pro and cons between this and the arcteryx vents sv? Doesn't the sv fit better?

Yes! I have to agree! The Arcteryx Venta SV did have a better over all fit!
But having my Snowtastic jacket now for about 2 months, it feels feels like a tailor made
piece. Here is what I layer it with if it get's in the 20's or so.
Base - Under Armour "Fitted" EVO Coldgear Fitted Mock! "WARM
Light Mid-layer - Patagonia, R1 Pullover "This is my favorite piece VERY Versatile!
Insulated Mid-Layer - Arcteryx, Atom LT Hoody. PS: The hoody is insulated as well! Has come in handy!
