@henchmen12 most of the people here agree that the best voice for Royal Hunt is DC Cooper.I agree with you that West has a HUGE voice and as of now, probably his voice is in better shape than DC's, but in terms of style DC is the best for this band.As DC would not fit in Artension for example.

West?Schmest, fuck all to do with the gaspers and all to do with chronological advancement. Unlike instruments, vocal cords change and often deteriorate with ageing. Some of the luckier ones merely lose top end, others turn into Donald Duck and there's fuck all they can do about it, cigs or zero cigs. All in all and bearing this in mind,Dcs doing fine.

I'm sorry but this version was absolutely HORRENDOUS. It sounds like a bunch of drunk pirates singing in the gallows. You can just listen to the REAL FRONTMAN version done by John West in 2006. Waaaay better. West will always be #1. But even the band sounds like shit in this rendition. I realize it's not a Royal Hunt video production but Geezus...1st Royal Hunt video I've shut off before it was over. Where are you WEST???

I will take John West on leads any day of the week over Cooper because, FOR ME, I think he's got a much better voice. I'm not alone on that opinion and neither are you with yours. Let's just agree that if Royal Hunt were an Ice Cream Sundae, it doesn't matter if you prefer Caramel over Fudge, it's still gonna be a kick ass Sundae. We both win. The End

@henchmen12 just to clarify a thing. Far Away was recorded on Moving target album, with DC COOPER at voice.

Now DC has 45 yo and smokes. It's hard to keep the voice with cigarettes.

Try to listen far away from the moving target tour on 1996.

@nicchioss Well thank you for taking the time to tell me everything I already knew. I have all of their CD's in the Music Box of my car. I am well schooled in Royal Hunt's music and history. It doesn't change the fact this version sounds like shit. The older version is a much better version from DC. I just prefer John West's voice a million times over than DC. I'm not alone on that opinion. The same with people like you who love DC more. BTW...Cigarettes are his problem or shall I say, weakness.

Oh yes, we do have passion, believe me, masterpatric07... And i suppose that you can see more clearly the result of that passionate love at some highly emotional moments of the concert (especially in Epilogue, but not only) when DC felt the flow of energy from us, felt love and admiration of the audience...

Let's stop at this - RH is absolutely fantastic and DC is absolutely wonderful and magnificent and the people coming to their shows are passionate and loving =)

Sorry but can't agree with you here...You know, RH is a very many-sided band which is deeply loved by crowds of different people, not only rockers and headbangers. That's why the hall was FULL of people of different interests and ages - from kids to senior citizens... The people came there to listen and to watch, not to show themselves =)) It was the concert where there's no place for showing off. That was the event to be treasured in memory and heart!
