Just curious...anybody ever wonder how this funny-ass classic (definitely one of Ed's top 3) movie would have turned out if they actually set it in Holly-weird (L.A.)? It most likely would've been too cliché, and that's why Queens (though I believe most of it was shot in the great borough of BK) was the final choice. But, could you imagine Akeem (Ed) & Semi (Arsenio) ending up in let's say Compton looking for a "queen"? That would've been wild! Lol... Great movie, man, great movie.

its a great movie! i watch it often, its a funny thing i just noticed, that the rich brothers in´Trading Places´ Randolf and Mortimer are the same people on the street when Akeem gives them money in a McDowel´s burger bag. its a funny thing :) watch Trading Places (1983) if you havent, another of Eddie Murphy´s good movies. he were best in the 80´s and the 90´s!
