  • What's yapping here she said they are asleep all day but the wait till night to go get them. What did I miss

  • "Two rights are not making a left!" I LOVE the British way of speaking! :D

  • this used to scare me so much!

  • butcher boy toma

  • I'm just imagining the looks on peoples faces passing the palace and that massive fart coming out of it XD

  • Kaiju

You're right if you look in the book it dose say that

  • I think BFG said Manhunger because that sound's like hugger.

  • What happens to the little mouse at the end of this film because he seems to dissappear.

  • Best scene ever of the film is the RAF's and British Army in Chinooks.

  • Christ if the Queen had this much power... nightmare.

  • Now do not get me wrong, I love this story but one thing that does not make sense is that one of the nasty giants is called ManHugger that sounds as if he loves men and hugs them it would have made more sense if he was called ManHunter.

  • @Floobegusted he is called manhunter. lol

  • @AngusTheWolf To be very blunt no he is not if you listen really carefully it says that his name is ManHugger

  • @Floobegusted well thats a mistake made by the movie then. im pretty sure it was Manhunter in the book

  • @AngusTheWolf Ah about that (please do not be offended) it was Manhugger in the book too.

  • @Floobegusted really?! :O man im stupid -_-

lol well, it has been like 11 years since i read the book :/

  • @Floobegusted I expect he's called that because he squeezes them until their bones break

  • daka daka daka- kaboom! quite possibly the worst impressions of guns and bombs ever lol they probably never been in battle ;') lol

  • hehehe "two rights is not making a left!" i burst out laughing.

  • "I think on the hole I prefer the bagpipes" me too

  • 0:51 Nice. I bet I could beat it.

  • the head of the army is voiced by the major from fawlty towers!!

  • "They were eaten by giants."

    *Long pause*

"...Doon't think we should jump to that conclusion, ma'am."

Yeeaah, I don't blame him for saying that. <.<; Even if he is a jerk.

  • "two rights is not making a left" LMAO!!

  • OMG Lewie the fifteenth was a CHENDELIER? That explains alot....

  • LOL 6:36 hes talking out the side of his mouth "Alright u lot"

  • I love 5:45 onwards.

  • Those army guys ARE tough. They just made some kind of interdimensional warp and none of them fainted!

  • @athenacat96 niether did sophie though :/

  • @athenacat96 well they are paras

  • I love how the soldiers seem to be taking in stride the fact that they would be the first military force on Earth to carry out an extradimensional engagement.

  • one of those huge helicopters flew over our house

once (we live near a small airport)

the whole house shook it was cool LOL

  • @uber21

Chinooks make such a huge down wash , they can demolish a house directly underneath

  • Why would a giant be named Gizzardgulper when humans(their prey)have no gizzards for them to gulp?

  • it was funny as shit wen he hit his head!!!!!!!

  • 9:10 oh my god oh my god BE CAREFUL!!!! IT'S THEIR BOSS!!! DX

I mean it's not their boss... XD

  • 9:10 oh my god oh my god BE CAREFUL!!!! IT'S THEIR BOSS!!! DX

  • i love that army general! "Tanks! Tanks! Machine guns!! banbanbanbanaban!!!!!"

  • Two rights is not making a left ahahaahah lol

  • military intelligence at its best.

  • Blimey, he's a big fella innhe? Classic para :P

  • 0:50 Uh Oh !!!!!!

  • The planes are alomost as big as the B.F.G.

  • its so cool that the queen seems so calm despite the bfg destroyed Louis XV and set off a big whizzpopper in the palace

  • Always remember the chinook scene which demonstrates how much the RAF loves its wokka . Just want to know , is that really chinook engines you hear ? They sound kinda subdued compared to how noisy a chinook sounds irl

  • DAKA DAKA DAKA DAKA DAKA DAKA DAKA DAKDA DAKA... GREEN IZ BEST!

  • I think on the hole. HAHAHAHA

  • omg 7:53 .....wtf was that? Never seen that before. Couldn't the giants eat that?

  • 0:49 oh gosh could some open a window! lol

  • ya i would have gone with the tanks, bombs, basicaly all the above weapons of destruction at that time.

  • The short guy with the white moustache and white hair with bald head is the guy who played the Major in Fawlty Towers. Think this was out about a year before he died.

  • i love this story....... especially the wizzpop and sopie telling the bfg wat 2 say its so funny LOL

  • all right men at your esells lol

  • What about gas bombs or tranquilisers? A little bit safer for the troops.

  • 1:00

wow.. queen is like WHAT IN THE BLOODY **** WAS THAT..

well.. she thought that atleast.. but she.. didnt.. show it..

  • The officers sound like a couple of morons with their ideas. Send cavalry to attack a 35 foot giant. Use bombs to get under their radar. The writers should have made a script that didn't sound so idiotic.

  • @paladinofdarkdragon That's the point... bear in mind Roald Dahl was in the RAF during WW2, defending the entirety of Greece in a squad of15 Hurricanes and 3 bombers... Possible his writing was slightly influenced :P

  • @paladinofdarkdragon To be fair when he said cavalry he did mean tanks which would have worked very well. As for getting in under their radar why assume that the giants are low tech? Giant country looks like the ruins of some kind of civilisation so they clearly had something.

  • lmao the whizzpop

  • Butcherboy. *gulps*

  • I don't know why, but I always laugh when Sophie waves to the helicopter pilot and the pilot waves back in the gayest way.

  • how did they get the bfg through the doors?

  • I may be misstaken but i think David Jayson who played Del Boy in Only fools and horses did the voice of the BFG. I think i'm not shore please let me know if i'm rong or right.

  • @AaronIzzard he is the voice of The BFG david jason

  • I wonder if you can download teh music for the Helicopter journey. Epic piece of music i think works well. Brilliant. I've always loved this film and i loved the book too.

  • Omg, when we watched this in 3rd grade and he farted right in front of the queen our teacher had to pause it b/c we we're practically dying of laughter, I think she was too. XD lol

  • They've made the general mimic Patton, the greatest general of all time.

  • OMG farting in front of the Queen!!!!!! Legend! I loved that when I was little and love it now! So anarchic!

  • Hmm, I wonder what human beans from Scotland would taste like?

    Oh, wait, Haggis.

  • the BFG can go as fast as a big chopper

    wow

  • @juslee483 In the books the choppers can barely keep up with him.

  • @Starman117

RAF chinooks are actually so fast their apache escorts can't keep up with them!

  • stubby officer: takatakalaka, guns!

    tall officer: KaBoom, bombs!

    lol

  • stubby officer: The answer is quite simple, Your Majesty, tanks!

tall officer: Tanks? Nonsense! Its bombs.

    stubby officer: Bombs?! Ridiculous!

and so on...lol XD , this is extremely representative of our gov. lolz

  • 3:07 - 3:16 i laugh all the time it never gets old

  • I think those 2 military men are very representative of our army :D

  • Those giants scared the crap outa me as a kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BFG: "Waht was that!"

    Queen:"That was Louis the 15th..."

As a child I never understood why my dad laughed at this, but now I laugh hard too! I love how the cartoons of back then had all sorts of layers!

  • This movie's really funny!

  • Sounds like a rapper... ''may I introduce you, Mr BFG!!!''

  • im now joining the RAF thanx to this frankly genius film

  • The Head of the Army is voiced by the Major from Fawlty Towers :)

  • 5:43 onwards was the most dramatic thing that I saw in a film as a child...

  • it was that tall anorexic one that gave me nightmares! I would dream he was curled up on a plate with an apple in his mouth and all family were cannibals and eating him, then they went for ME!!!

  • Queen: ............

  • Like many things in chilhood this cartoon had left lovely memories, but now when i watch after 17 years, it's nothing special, is it ?

  • Great, no sooner has the Berlin Wall fallen, there is an epidemic of cannibalistic giants

  • the giant at 9:18 looks either like an evil bfg or a giant gollum

  • The footprints couldn't've been 6 feet long, because the giants themselves were 50 feet, apart from the fleshlumpeater who was 54 feet

  • What exactly was that creature who was with her young watching the bfg and the human aircraft, a surviving dinosaur or something?

  • @90Randyboy

    Looks like a parasaurolophus

  • hahahahah taga taga taga!!!!!! sounds icelandic..icelandic cool though, and that worm hole eye looks like the eye from lord of the rings

  • hahahahah taga taga taga!!!!!! sounds icelandic..icelandic cool though, and that worm hole eye looks like the eye from lord of the rings

  • hahahahah taga taga taga!!!!!! sounds icelandic..icelandic cool though

  • hahahahah taga taga taga!!!!!! sounds icelandic..icelandic cool though

  • hahahahah taga taga taga!!!!!! sounds icelandic..icelandic cool though

  • In the book the Queen says that thinks Snozzcumbers haven't seem to have stunted the BFG's growth. Well they probably have because the other giants who eat humans are around 50 ft tall (same length as a Brygmophyseter) and the BFG is 24 ft.

  • lol best movie good.....mot ni n g s i rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • How can that car get to Giant Country? The BFG and helicopters had to fly to that portle thing and cars can't fly

  • if you watch when they land the car comes out of the chopper

  • @mamopom It was carried onboard one of the Helicopters. Probably the one the Head of teh RAF was flying in.

  • "I cannot be dissobeying her magester the queen. -_-"

  • I always thought the sound of a group of helicopters thundering around the desolate landscape would easily wake the giants up.

  • Good ol' RAF, they did us proud in this unwritten epic battle, we should never forget those lost, this really happened you know....

  • @kryten16 Oh yes, the anti-giant initiative. Sorry we Americans couldn't help you with that one. There was some sort of snafu over an Extra Terrestrial.

  • "two rights is not making a left" LOL

  • butcherboy lol

  • At your easles

  • (The queen after the BFG's "whizzpop") "I think, on the whole, I prefer the bagpipes". LOL

  • @breeismaname hahaha love how she stays so calm

  • The man was saying:"Baka baka baka" at 4:49 lol

(baka is a Japanese word,it means stupid)

  • 4:42 i lol at that all the time xD

  • Do Chinook helicopters really lean forwards like that?

  • if they did it'd be very uncomfortable for the poor guys riding in the back lol

  • He does, me and my brother used to say that all the time after watching this

  • Yes, I was replying to TheExtremeCore, who thought he said "at your eagles"

  • The two military heads are great.

  • The head of the army is voiced by Ballard Berkeley, who played the Major in Fawlty Towers. Brilliant!

  • I think this was his last role, as he died a year before it was released.

  • man huger, meat dripper, child chewer,

bucher boy, blood bodler, maid smasher,

fresh lump eater, bone cruncher, and the

gizzerd gulperer, dang thats alot of giant o yeah and the BFG wow 10 giants thats a waist of country and now it sophie and the bfg man dats stupid

  • FLESH lumpeater, not fresh

    Maid MASHER, not smasher

  • this eggs and baking gets better every time lol

  • The Queen is one pimpin and chilled out bitch considering the crazy shit thats going on ha ha

  • this film is full of moral messages - "don't sink to murderers' level" "human beings are unkind to each other," etc..... Do you reckon they're trying to tell us sumat? lol

for some reason, that yellow and black tunnel scared me senseless as a child - it looked like an EYE!

one question - how the HELL did they get a car there, considering they had to fly??!

  • Comment removed

  • At 8:33 you see the car driving off the plane (:

  • @thereflex101

i often wondered the same thing XD but then i realised the cars somehow travelled in the bottom compartments of the helicopters :P lol its funny cuz in this film we always see things from the BFG's perspective cuz its all about giants :P but you have to think by human standards :P lol if ya get me. hope that helps XD

  • Those humen beans are a bottle of flobscotil!!!! im reading it in girted class

  • MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR the army bloke @ 6:17 "blimy he's a big feller aint he" well duh the helicopter had to take of just to get a glimpse of his head he must be freekin massive.

  • in typical English fasion ha ha

  • also when he is listing the names of the giants to the army leader and the air force leader they all have horrible names to do with disembowling and eating children apart from the first one, MAN HUGER sounds like a puff giant who bums little boys in their sleep.

  • 2:48 the look on his face! XD XD

  • The animation in this film is superb, much better than those damndable animes

  • There's definitely a bigger animation budget than most anime in this film.

  • I remember as a Kid, I would always Replay the part where he Smashes his head on the Chandelier. I'd be in Stitches laughing xDDD

  • Yes, that was quite unexpected >:D

  • Two rights dont make a left.

  • You know how all the people from different countries are supposed to taste in relation to their country, ie: the name or something else, what do the english taste of?

Overboiled vegetables and terminally greased meat? A full monty breakfast? Or maybe just some stereotypical tea and crumpets.

  • they taste like english muffins duh! haha :p

  • Don't forget the half-cooked chicken

  • ...What the hell? The giants is supposed to be 9 times bigger than BFG! well it was like that in teh book

  • send in the paras. only they would be mad enough to take on those giants

  • @burnzgotshot Or the Royal Marines. They and the Paras are a class act.

  • im stil watching this at school

  • Lmfao. The army and air-force guys argument had me in stitches. And the BFG's whizzpopper sounded like a motorbike. XD

  • Two rights don't make a left, but THREE rights DO make a left. =oP

  • LOL! You watch "Fairly Oddparents"?

WANDA: Two wrongs don't make a right.

COSMO: But three rights make a left, and now it's time for the show!

(Dresses up as Carmen Miranda and starts singing "La Cucaracha")

    TIMMY: Wanda?

(Wanda turns into a hose and squirts Cosmo)

  • No, I actually got it from a book. "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time". Because the character named Christopher used this fact to help him when he was lost. =o]

  • its funny how they argue how to take out the giants! taka taka taka taka taka taka taka taka taka taka

  • @christinathebee

lmao your so right!! XD that always made me laugh everytime i watched this movie XD

taka taka taka taka taka, capoff! TANKS!!!!

  • i just noticed that they didn't give the fleshlumpeater the nightmare like they did in the book

  • when i was younger i always used to think that those types of helicopters were called 'bellybuttons'. lol

  • @titanic104

lol in the book he actually calls them 'bellypoppers' XD

  • This is Neha from the cooliestone, and I am reading this at school and In school I am way behind. So this is a little of a bit of cheating at school.

  • Comment removed

  • 6:15 LOL

BFG: Do you feel lucky, punk?

  • BFG: "I cannot be disobeying her Majester the Queen." *pause, then slightly-evil laugh*

    *loud whizzpopper*

Queen: "... I think, on the whole... I prefer the bagpipes."

    XD

  • Another funny part was also from 2:03 to 2:57, and from 4:43 to 4:58.

Additionally, the score from 5:43 to 8:30 is one of my all-time favourites from this movie :P

  • i dont get it.the choppers set off at night.surely the giants would b out?

  • @LuvSickPuppi they set of in early morning while it's still a little dark.

  • I freakin busted out laughing when it shows the Queen just... sitting there afterwards.
