I too have looked for into on the 80 Drums group but have found nothing which is too bad as I'd like to have a whole cd of their music if they recorded one.
I've heard countless renditions of "Caravan", but this is still my favorite.
Does ANYBODY out there have ANY information about this group, 80 Drums Around the World? The only place I've ever heard of them has been on some of these Ultra-Lounge compilations. Nobody else seems to know anything about them.
@geezerbill Hi Bill, look, I'm looking for a very special version of Caravan. The CD came out in the early nineties, perhaps late 80's, when CD's where the stuff to have. My dad got this CD - Jazz Drums of the World - or something like that. In it, there was a Caravan version. It said the author was Cozy Cole. However, I've looked everywhere and none of the Cozy Cole's version matches the one I'm looking for. This CD I can't find either. My dad got it in Miami in those years, Hope u know smthn..
